5 out of 5 eggsPhenomenal Phenom

Pros: Well priced powerhouse which has been flawless out of the box. Very fast/powerful. Not sure many could appreciate the .2 or .4ghz speed between this and the current top of the line Phenoms. 8gb ram - more than most could use.
Surprisingly little bloat ware.

Cons: HD is slow relative to the rest of the system. Easily upgraded to a 7200 or better drive. Thus far the supplied 5400 is still noticeably faster than my old system but sure that will change as it fills.

Other Thoughts: My first real exposure to Win 7 - seems reasonable.
System packs some punch. I am not a gamer - I was wanting the power more for rendering etc.
System is super quiet.
Wish I could have purchased from the Egg - sorry guys.
Other reviewer is mistaken - can take a MAX of 16gb ram - but who will go there with a budget powerhouse?

5 out of 5 eggsGreat for non-techies that want good performance

Pros: -8GB of RAM (Which can be increased up to 24GB)
-Blue Ray Drive
-Cost at time of purchase less than HP site and in a great combo with a 27" 1080p monitor.
-Great power for a pre-made machine
-Didn't come with lots of junk software
-Incredibly silent machine. I had to get right next to it, with my ear next to the case to hear it while running StarCraft II
-Phenom II processor lets you multitask without ever noticing a drop in performance
-Incredibly easy setup

Cons: -Graphics card could be better, but for what I am doing it is adequate
-300W power supply means you are pretty limited in terms of upgrades. Changing the power supply will be difficult as there isn't a whole lot of free space inside the case.

Other Thoughts: -This machine is perfect for someone that wants a fairly powerful desktop for a good price, without the hassels of building your own computer.
-Likely won't be able to build your own desktop that comes with all that this computer does for the same price or less. (including the BlueRay Drive and Windows OS, and Newegg combo 27" 1080p monitor.)
-I use this computer for multiple tasks for both work and play. On the play side I usually play World of Warcraft, EVE Online, and StarCraft II. For both WoW and EVE I run settings at max, and during a raid in WoW will get 60fps in a 25 man raid during a boss encounter, really no hiccups. The same for EVE. For SCII I have setting at medium to high and have absolutely no problem playing online.
-Overall for someone that's really into building their own computer, they probably will be able to get more of what they want doing it on their own. For someone that isn't as tech savvy but wants performance, it's a great deal.

4 out of 5 eggsPretty Sweet

Pros: The six core processor is amazing, the amount of ram is way more than I've ever had. Appart from the annoying factory installed software, it's awesome.

Cons: When I first started it up, it wasn't recognizing the BD combo drive. After opening the case I saw the communications cable in the back of it wasn't plugged in (easy fix). The only other issue I have with it is the video card. It has DVI, HDMI and DisplayPort outputs. I'm running dual 22" monitors and had to buy an adapter to run the DisplayPort output to my second monitor which still isn't working.

Other Thoughts: It's good value, but a different video card would be nice.
