Windows 7 64bit - Works like a charm, it's much faster than Win XP @ start-up and provides the user a much better experience than previous window versions.
8 gigs of DDR 3 memory
1 terabyte of HD space
Wireless card installed

I edit digital photo's using Corel PSP and Adobe PS. Even though this processor isn't the latest from AMD it is much faster compared to my oldish 2.8 P4 and win XP.

With the P4 it could take up to a minute to open PSP or PS and now in a matter of seconds I'm ready to open my photo and begin work.

On the old system If I ran a tool like noise removal on a 12 meg photo it could take up to 2 minutes to complete now it takes only seconds.

It's a giant leap for me.

Kudos to Newegg, I ordered this computer on the weekend and it showed up the next Wednesday using the free shipping with not a scratch on it.

Cons: None for me

Other Thoughts: If you're into games I'm quite sure you wouldn't be happy with this computer. While there is enough memory the PSU and graphics card would certainly hinder your frame rates on many of the newer newer games.

If gaming isn't your forte then this computer will handle most everything else.

Pros: Quiet, shiny, like new, lots of RAM, fast.

Cons: Unsure about the chipset. Hard drive slows down the system significantly.

Other Thoughts: Other HP model with AMD chipset, Phenom 810 and 7200RPM drive is propably a better deal.

Pros: Price!!......including purchase of 2 year warranty! Was going to try to build a computer but couldn't beat the price and for me TIME!! Shipped in 3 days! Windows 7 is nice and friendly....!!!

Cons: Mouse was missing! New Egg gave me 25$ gift card!! Winner...... Power button is on top right of computer easy to hit if you put stuff on top...

Other Thoughts: Just saw same one with 6g memory for $489 probably would have bought it.

I cannot even build a computer of this specification range for even within a couple a hundred dollars than the $550 it is for.
FAST processor, 8GB DDR3, wireless network card, and 1TB HDD...This computer is great for the value.

If you need a home/work PC that isn't focused heavily on graphics (although you can upgrade), this computer is perfect. As Tiger Wood would say: Just Do It!

Cons: The darn keyboard was defective, but who gives a crp?
Low PSU (350 watts) for the power of the computer, but who keeps a standard PSU any ways?

Other Thoughts: Who cares if the Computer is refurbished, you might be risking getting a DOA computer more than if you bought a brand new PC. However, look at the price difference, you CANNOT beat that in any case.

It is an amazing buy.

Pros: Great PC for the price, I got free shipping on this product during the 'promotion'. Windows 7 is a great improvement over Vista. The only thing to watch for on this PC is the junk graphics card. I'll have to catch a 'shell shocker' deal on a graphics card (and probably a PSU, as I have heard that this one is quite small).

Cons: Do your homework on this PC and see if it is right for you. There really are no cons, with a refurbished item, you take what you get. Its the luck of the draw. So far so good with this computer, though.

Other Thoughts: Probably should have waited for a quad-core from intel to come down in price (or 'lord' forbid, wait for the i3/i5/i7 cpus to become reasonably priced..). But either way, I am happy with this somewhat obscure (Phenom II X4 280 cpu..?) processor.

Pros: removed my old tower and plugged this one in, took a few min to initialize Win 7 and connect to my wireless network. Worked perfectly the first time. Extremely pleased. Replaced the USB keyboard and mouse with wireless from my old setup and took only a few seconds, for the softward to recognize the new hardware and install drivers. Really hard to beat this price.

Cons: as mentioned in other reviews the DVD drive doors seem cheap and flimsy, have to make sure I don't accidentally kick it when the tray is open and extended.

Other Thoughts: Would highly recommend this. Didn't have any complaints about the graphics card but I don't play games.

Pros: Great system for the price. Mine showed up looking totally brand new. I couldn't tell wath was refurbished on it at all.

Cons: The other reviewer mentioned that his Windows 7 Install Disk did not come with his system. HP has removed the need for printed software by allowing the user to burn the OS from the image on the machine.

The recovery CD set contains a complete set of the original operating system, drivers, and application software that shipped with the PC. The Recovery CD Creator software can be used to creat a set of recovery CDs/DVD's for your computer. Because this software actually contains the Operating System, the Creator program allows only one complete set of CDs to be created. This data that will be put onto the CD is the same as the recovery CDs that you’d receive if you’d actually ordered them from HP.

You’ll need a blank CD-R or blank DVD-R.

To begin, click Start, then All Programs. If you have an HP Pavilion click Hewlett-Packard and then HP PC Recovery CD Creator. If not, try clicking PC Help & Tools, then HP CD Recovery CD-DVD Creator to start the program.

Other Thoughts: I really like the integrated wireless. Very stable and gets great reception.

Pros: Good price i guess, once its working hopefully. Cosmetically perfect

Cons: Arrived dead...not a beep. HP service walked me through reseating everything, then offered to do the repair in 3 weeks. Returning it to Newegg for replacement will be costing me $35. Take that into account when comparing the price.
