5 out of 5 eggsruns great

Pros: Buy this if you can catch it during a good sale. For the price i paid this PC screams. boots up in about 10 seconds despite HDD. i7 3770 hauls. fair share of usb 3.0. from there everything else is pretty nice but could stand some tweaks and upgrades (that I eventually plan on doing when i have more cash)

Cons: power supply is 450 or 460w (been a couple weeks since i was in it). anyways, it makes upgrades a bit of a pain. case leaves you with little options for upgrading your cooling so i have no intentions of overclocking anything until i upgrade the case.

Other Thoughts: Bought this PC on an eggstra deal for $650. for the price it's a hell of a deal. Would have preferred to build from scratch but this saved me a load of money. Currently it has no problem handling the games I'm playing. The graphics weren't a huge upgrade from my gaming laptop, but well lets just say after playing diablo 3 for a couple of hours my laptop could have cooked my dinner. This baby runs cool and pretty silent. probably the fastest PC I've personally used.

Honestly though, if it wasn't on sale for $300 off, I can't say I would have bought it. If you plan on gaming hard you'll have to upgrade the power supply and slap a better GPU in it. Personally I'm hoping to eventually do that and transplant it to a better case. I'd probably up the ram to 16gigs as well. At its normal price or just a bit more you could build a better gamer.

Overall though, for $650 this surpasses my current needs and I couldn't be happier. Solved my issue of "if I'm going to build it, I have to build it right" which always turned out to be a thousand dollar rig that I would have probably been wasting for a long time anyways.

5 out of 5 eggsXPS 8500

Pros: 1. Quiet, you never even know it's running it is so quiet.
2. If you do your research you find that it boots up in about 34 seconds. That is wrong. It boots up in 10 seconds.
3. Graphics are pretty good for standard, casual gaming.
4. Fastest computer I have ever used.
5. Windows 8 isn't so bad once you get used to it.

Cons: There is only one con with this computer and it's only if you want to play games. This computer is great for every game out there right now but is not future proofed graphics wised. Its graphics card will be great and very useful for about two years before it will need to be upgraded. But then again that only matters to higher leveled gamers.

Other Thoughts: The Dell XPS 8500 is one of the best computers I have ever used. I have had absolutely no issues with it for the two weeks that I have had it. It runs games very well and even though eventually it may need a graphics card upgrade it runs them superbly right now. I get between 60-100 fps on Minecraft on max settings, 15-70 on Planetside 2 on low settings, and 20-60 on Guild wars 2 on high settings with the render distance and the shaders turned down. I am very happy to have bought this computer. It is one of the best ones I have ever used. I cannot think of any serious cons with it and it will run just about anything lightning fast.
