5 out of 5 eggsgreat computer

Pros: This is a good combination for an office computer. I bought this one and liked it so much I bought another for someone else in the office. It comes with Windows 7, and although it did not say so in the description, it has wireless. It seems pretty snappy with the stock 4 gb of RAM. Bloatware is minimal.

Cons: If placed on a hard surface, it is a little buzzy when it wakes up from being asleep. This is pretty minor, and it is not much of a con.

Other Thoughts: The price went up a little between buying the first one and the second one. It is still a good deal.

4 out of 5 eggsThumbs Up on the 270

Pros: Very impressed with newegg and their fast shipping for my first order experience. Researched thoroughly and am very happy with the choice I made. Best bang for the buck, seemless operation with win 7, expandable, fast and functional enough for me.

Cons: Had to find patches for my old 32 bit music recording programs. But 64 bit is now the standard. The Dell keyboard is horrible but can be replaced. Even so, the unit is still a fantastic value.

Other Thoughts: Well, the taking a chance on ordering a computer through an internet company is now behind me. Would order through newegg again. Satisfied with all.

2 out of 5 eggsPoor Shipping

Pros: Great Basic Workstation

Cons: Buyer beware on shipping and handling. I paid $10.00 for shipping only to have it left in the Rain for 4 hrs. Fortunately the product wasn't damaged but I wasted my money thinking that I paid for shipping and handling CARE! Never again will I waste my money on FedEx. If they are the only carrier I will shop elsewhere.

5 out of 5 eggsDell Vostro A+A+

Pros: Well built, runs stable in a corporate network environment, plenty of speed to run all corporate software platforms. Very inexpensive for what you get and the Windows 7 Pro x64 is a plus.

Cons: Wireless in a desktop installed on a corporate network is a security issue and annoying, so I just remove it.

Other Thoughts: I have purchased over 250 of these and hope they don't discontinue them too soon with out a comparable replacement, maybe an i5 with 8GB ram as standard for the price.

5 out of 5 eggsBasic Workstation

Pros: Quiet little mid-tower PC with Win7Pro. Quick to startup (yay Win7!).

Built-in WiFi was totally unexpected, though not needed for this client.

Almost no bloatware; only TrendMicro AV & MS-Office trial and both uninstalled easily and cleanly.

Add in free EggSaver shipping (still got here in three days), and you can't go wrong.

Cons: Didn't come with any lolli-pops.

Other Thoughts: Thinking about buying a couple more just to have in inventory...

5 out of 5 eggsSteady little machine

Pros: Can't beat the Price, speed for the tasks it was design to do.

Cons: Sure wish it had more RAM, and the keyboard and mouse are less than basic. Sure Glad it was not a Windows 8 Machine.

Other Thoughts: Great little machine. While it was not built for mega speed, it works just fine as a work station. I added a dual video card, 4gb's of RAM and a 500gb HD. It pushes two monitors just fine and it has plenty of speed for a workstation. Multi tasking is handled without issues. I will probably buy another and set it up the same way. It replaced a Dell Optiplex 745.

5 out of 5 eggsDell Vostro 270

Pros: Able to handle multiple threads at once if you( add 4GB of 1600 Ram, $35.00 @ Newegg ) We use it as part of a Network & my underwriter will have as many as 8-15 threads open at once, some internally, some connected on-line. It never slows down being used with Dual 23" monitors for 8-10 hrs per day.
Great workstation for the insurance business.

Cons: none after 3 months

Other Thoughts: great buy @ 439.99

5 out of 5 eggsNewegg is the best

Pros: Great plug and play computer running windows 7, perfect for basic use and Internet. Strangely enough, the machine just beeped loudly at first start up and wouldn't start. A quick call to Dell and they told me there was likely a loose chip inside??? I started to stress but they actually walked me though opening up the box and sure enough, a memory chip wasn't locked in. 5 minutes later I was up and running. They said it's a common occurrence during shipping.

Cons: None

4 out of 5 eggsGreat computer for the price

Pros: Great computer for the price, Very little bloatware.
Easy to upgrade. Running in an office with 8 gigs ram, and SSD drive. Very fast! Supports Dual monitors.

Cons: none yet.

Other Thoughts: Most monitors do not yet support HDMI, but with a $5 cable, it can be converted to DVI easily.
