5 out of 5 eggsDoing exactly what I bought it for.

Pros: For the price this is a great machine. Its not going to win any awards for being a spaceship gaming machine but its a good bang for the buck.
I bought this machine to be my tv. My wife and I don't have cable or a dish and frankly we don't want one. We both have big gaming machines (which we bought from newegg last year... running amazing!!) and we like to watch Netflix while we play World of Warcraft. Up till now we had to either have her laptop hooked up to the 50" plasma or watch on my second monitor while we play. Now with this machine we can both play and still be able to watch Netflix on the TV.
Took all of 5 minutes to setup and is working great as I type this.

Cons: the only real thing I can complain about is, when I opened up the computer to make sure nothing came loose during shipping, I found a good bit of dust in it. I know it is a refurb but they could have took the 5 seconds to blow it out with a air can.

Other Thoughts: Was happy to see the Windows 7 disc. I absolutely hate Windows 8 and I will probably use it on my other machines.

This would be a great student computer for research and such. If your looking for a machine to run games like WoW etc. this isn't for you.

4 out of 5 eggsSo far so good

Pros: Use these for our customer service department... much faster than our old computers which all had XP. Staff all seem pleased. Only one of the computers made some noise, but no big deal (hopefully)

Cons: I had placed 4 more additional computers in our NEWEGG "TO BUY" box back on Jan 31, 2014. When I went to place my order for the 4 computers today, Feb 10th, the price jumped $15! Not sure why... You would think prices would drop not go up!

Other Thoughts: We will order more of a similar model. These work out great and basically are so inexpensive that we really can not complain.

4 out of 5 eggscheapo and good

Pros: Inexpensive , good machine for basics, includes Windows 7 CD! Quiet;

Cons: Did not come with all advertised software, but not an issue in my application, small HD,

Other Thoughts: Don't expect a high-end game / video machine. But good item for basic I-net and home use. Only time will tell if its durability outlasts the price.

3 out of 5 eggsHP DC5700

Pros: Nifty little machines with a small drive. I have been pushing them for sale to students that need web and word processing.

Cons: I put on the information sheet for the customer that they are not gamer computers and Immediately, I get the question, "WHY?" I say, it would need a powerful videocard and much more RAM and larger drive. So, some youngsters immediately don't want them. Maybe a studious kid will come in wanting what I am selling so they can create their first term paper.

Other Thoughts: seems fast.

4 out of 5 eggsGood buy, but missing software

Pros: price

Cons: Didn't come with some of the advertised software.

Other Thoughts: I like getting a used pc to use for my digital jukebox at a great price. I could do without almost all of the advertised installed software, but like the idea of having antivirus installed before connecting to the internet. Below is a list of the advertised software and what I actually received.

Libre Office - NOT INSTALLED - Open office installed instead.
Windows Photo Gallery - INSTALLED
Windows Movie Maker - INSTALLED
Windows Live Mail - INSTALLED
WinDows Live Writer - INSTALLED
Microsoft Family Safety- INSTALLED
Adobe Reader - INSTALLED
Adobe Flash - INSTALLED

4 out of 5 eggsOverall Pretty Happy

Pros: Exactly what I expected. An older, mid-range machine - compared to what I had at least. Mostly used for browsing the web, hosting a shared printer and letting the kids type up their homework. I have an older Adobe Suite (CS2) loaded on it and while not super fast, it will run Photoshop and Illustrator well enough.

Cons: Seems to be an odd issue with the network jack. Occasionally it will stop working and I need to unplug and replug the cable to get it to reconnect, wiggling isn't enough. No need to reboot anything, so it's a physical connection issue I think.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat Starter PC

Pros: -Windows 7 home premium license with DVD
-Came with decent mouse and keyboard
-A Core 2 Duo Desktop PC for the this price is impressive
-Plays Minecraft and Flash games well, but is not a gaming PC.
-Internet browsing, and Word processing work very well. Perfect for a kids computer or a student..
-Upgradable with PCI-E slots, mine came with 2 x 1GB sticks of DDR2, possibility to stick another 2 x 1GB sticks (3.5GB usable by 32-bit windows, VGA shares some of that.), Hard drive is pretty quick too.
-DVD/CD-RW drive

Cons: Came with dust in it, fixed with a canned air.

VGA only Intel Media Accelerator - I wish it had DVI or Displayport. It will need a low-profile, low-power GPU card (Geforce GT610, etc) to make it support higher resolutions, play games, and HD video at decent frame rates. For a ~$100 desktop, it's not a big deal.

Came with a floppy disk drive - not really a con but it gave me a good laugh

Other Thoughts: Windows Experience Index; CPU - 4.8, RAM - 5.4, Graphics - 4.0, Gaming graphics - 3.4, HDD - 5.3

I popped in a wifi n pci card to make it wireless, windows detected it right away, easy install with low-profile bracket.

It is a BTX form factor so it won't work for every case if you want to swap. I have not tested the CPU cooler on this PC, but I know these have been business PC's they've been run 24/7, they are pretty solid machines.

Highly recommended considering a OEM copy of Windows 7 is close to the cost of this entire PC.

It's still better than buying a netbook for the same cost. Save your money for 4GB DDR2, and a cheap off-lease monitor, you will have a decent PC for under $200
