Pros: Purchased one for my wife at the start of Jan. Set up and worked fine so I purchased one for my home office to replace the full sized one that was beginning to cause problems. From there it went down hill.
Cons: The first one for my office lasted about a day when it started randomly shutting down, giving a black screen and a message "Drive 0 not found". Also the internal speaker was inoperative and the box insisted on starting in the boot loader for Windows 7 or Recovery no matter what I changed. It went back on RMA and was replaced with typical excellent Newegg service.
Other Thoughts: First computer came with installation dvd clearly labeled for refurbished computers. The next two did not and my request was ignored by the refurb company, Joy Systems. The last computer rattled right out of the box. Found the internal speaker loose and flopping around in the box. On removing the shrink wrap, a screw fell out on the table. It was one of the screws holding the parallel port connector in place. In general, the quality control of Joy Systems is really poor, their customer support phone number only allows you to leave a message that is never returned and their email response was just an empty promise. Checked other sources and they all have similar computers refurbed by the same outfit. Guess if I want the small form factor, Windows 7 and a built in serial port, I'm stuck. Considering trying again through Newegg as, with their policy on returns, I can keep trying until I get one that works.
