4 out of 5 eggsworks OK....

Pros: Everything works...easy to verify
OS with MS...can't beat the price...not a lot of un-needed software installed...Win7 disc..

Cons: Was made in mid 2010 and had a layer of dust inside...so it has been used....not just a quick turnaround...

5 out of 5 eggsAs described

Pros: Item as described. Everything works. Product key activates without issue. Comes with OS CD.

Cons: Seems to be lower quality than certified refurbished straight from Dell. Had to remove some company logo and name from computer properties page from registry. Replaced with my name and a picture of myself doing Steve-O thumbs up pose.

Other Thoughts: For the money I am gaining some confidence in these. I have deployed a couple in a business environment and they work as advertised. Room for a memory upgrade and all dell optiplex have raid controllers so you can add a second internal hard drive and setup a raid 1.

4 out of 5 eggsgood overall

Pros: Cost effective, and does what i wanted it to do. Room for upgrades if you get a power supply

Cons: smallish power supply.

Other Thoughts: came with extra keyboard because i already had one. :D

4 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Rugged machine, quiet, price was great. Works right out of the box but has the capability to be tailored to your needs. Has 2 old style PCI slots and 1 PCIex16. Can handle 2 hard drives but does not come with caddy or SATA cable for the second. Includes a DVD reader.

Cons: Comes with 32 bit win7, why? The non-dell keyboard and mouse are total junk and you will not be using them.

Other Thoughts: Immediately upgraded to 64 bit win7, a hybrid HD, vid card, and expanded RAM. Now it's a real machine.

5 out of 5 eggsDell Optiplex 380

Pros: Very nice PC. I have always built AMD PCs, so I have no idea what the difference is between this Intel dual core and the more abundant Core 2 Duos you see all over the place. I bought 2 refurbished Pentium D (single core) PCs last year and they are plenty good for the internet and office applications (Word Perfect 5 & 6, etc.). This Dell Optiplex 380 has way more horse power than a Pentium D, more than enough for photo editing and basic video editing. It has 1 long PCI slot, 1 short PCI slot, and 1 PCI-e slot. I have only used the Intel MOBO chipset GMA 4500 graphics so far, which are plenty good for almost everything. It also uses DDR3 RAM, not DDR2, which is now very expensive because they're not manufacturing it any more. 2 GB is fine for Win 7 Home Premium, but I'll probably eventually bump this little beast up to 4 GB.

Cons: There are no cons. A Windows 7 machine like this trumps anything you can do with a tablet/phone baby-PC...except it's not portable.

Other Thoughts: There are many, many great "refurbished" Windows 7 PC deals available at Newegg. I have bought 6 of them so far. Last year I built 6 AMD/Windows 8 machines when Microsoft was promoting their new OS for $39.99. These Windows 7 machines are an even better deal.

1 out of 5 eggsVery Bad

Pros: Very nice looking PC.o dents or scratches

Cons: Activation would not work either by Internet or phone to Microsoft. The on and off switch was defective. The refurbiseher never answered the phone after one hour on phone and there email address for service is bogas.

Other Thoughts: As a Christmas present I could not wait for the poor responce from Newegg or the refurbisher and had to bit the bullet.

5 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Exceptional buy, very clean unit. Would recommend for general home use and individual business owner. Also recommend purchase for grand child or grand children.

Cons: I like MS Word instead of Note Pad. Small thing but that's my preference. That's it.

5 out of 5 eggsDell Optipex 380

Pros: very clean about like brand new . great for Internet and email ,picture viewing ,arrived preloaded with Windows 7 home . came with a new spare copy of windows 7 home . Dvd reader . easy to add /swap with a sata burner .

Cons: came with a new usb keyboard ,mouse both are generic . not dell oem units . also only one slot for a extra Hard drive but no hard drive caddy is supplied for a extra Drive..

Other Thoughts: more then worth the price will buy a refurb. when in the market again. this is a great unit for the wife to do all she needs it for. it is not a gaming rig .

5 out of 5 eggsGreat computer for the price.

Pros: Bought this computer for a client and they are very pleased. It was on sale for $199. Would not recommend paying more than that as you could fine one with 4GB for the normal price. Its only used for basic computing. Its fast for what it has in it and the big plus is no bloatware.

Cons: None at the moment.

Other Thoughts: I would recommend this computer to anyone just needing a cheap desktop to do homework, surf the internet, and email.
