5 out of 5 eggsGreat at this price point

Pros: A good solid machine. Just because its not brand new to the market, doesn't mean it can't handle the job. Great for MS office applications / kids homework and research.

Cons: Its a basic machine, its not for a gamer or intense graphic programs. Its good for general office applications, such as MSOffice. The date of manufacture date code says the drive was built in 2007, and verified by Seagate the drive was registered in mid 2007. Since I view the computer almost disposable, if it dies or get a virus, its the kids computers so its not the end of the world. I have the computer linked to an online cloud service, so any documents saved are copied to a cloud service. Plus, a new drive down the road won't break the bank. Just save the OS install disk that comes with the computer.

Other Thoughts: Overall a great computer.

5 out of 5 eggsIf your a low budget this is for you

Pros: - On a performance for cost it beat's every computer
- HDD 750GB is HUGE for such a low-end computer
- 3.4GHz is a good processor speed
- Windows 7 Home Premium is great

Cons: - RAM is only 2GB
- Refurbished

Other Thoughts: Even though it's 'Refurbished' it's fully functional. This computer is phenomonal for a low-end computer.

The main problem I have is only 2GB of RAM. This is good for people who have 2-3 tabs open but for most, it's not enough.

I opened up the case and took out that 1 stick of 2GB RAM. Then I put in 2 sticks of compatible DDR2 2GB RAM so that i'd have 4GB of RAM.

If your on a budget and you want a good computer buy this with some DDR2 2x2GB RAM and your good to go!
