5 out of 5 eggsNice.

Pros: Bought 5 of these for a non-profit organization that needed to replace some old P4 desktops, and so far they're working out quite nicely. All were upgraded to Win 7 Professional, which is as simple as entering a keycode (about $75) to unlock the "Pro" features using the Windows Anytime Upgrade feature.

Cons: Minor scratches, which is to be expected on a used machine. Also, we wanted to upgrade RAM from 2 GB to 4 GB and discovered the shipped memory config was 4 x 512MB instead of 2 x 1GB, so we have 20 sticks of RAM laying around that we don't need or want.

Other Thoughts: Bought these as a Shell Shocker special, and also had an email promo coupon for refurbs that brought the price per unit down to $104.99. (!!!) If I'd known they were going to be this nice, I would have bought more. I've read other NewEgg reviews on HP Refurbs and they've been fairly negative, so I'm hoping our luck with these holds out. If they start breaking, I'll post a followup.

5 out of 5 eggs$5 Computer

Pros: Came in three days just as promised.
These are well built units.
Windows 7HP.
VGA/DVI out.
Even came with all of the peripheral programs in cluding Microsoft Security Essentials which saved me the time installing them.

Cons: I only bought one.

Other Thoughts: Windows 7 is a hundred bucks so I nly paid $4.95 for the computer. What a deal!

4 out of 5 eggsHP Refurb core 2 duo

Pros: Cheap. Is able to go up to 4 gig of ddr2 ram, able to still put your PCI-e gaming card. Mine's got a 560ti in it, just for holding, otherwise, if I game in it too long, it will fry my CPU out! LOL.
That it has a OS on it, already, is a plus, unless you're a student, like me, I got WIndows 7 Professional.
It's still fast with a good psu in it, a good video card, and of course, affordable for those who can't spend $1000 on a gamer computer...because it is upgrade able.
It's a stable computer, not sure what kind of motherboard, possibly an ASUS?
Mine can max out at 4 gig's of memory, which should still be OK for most of your games out there.
It's quiet. Not noisy like my gamer computer with all of the fans.

Cons: Older technology, not a bad con. Only takes the DDR2 memory. Comes with a cheapo psu, which is ok for every day usage, I replaced mine.
Most students will still find this computer a pretty good deal.

Other Thoughts: I got mine at my school for $125, and it came with a flat screen monitor. No OS on it, but I had an extra Win 7 Pro OS to add to it.
It's quite a good deal. Like I've said before, It's really cheap, and quality, I think is good.
Be careful not to run this thing too hard with gaming, you'll fry out the CPU!
