3 out of 5 eggsDoesn't work with Linux

Pros: It seems perfectly fine running Windows. For the price it has excellent stats.

Cons: In installed Linux on it. The first problem was that the network cards wouldn't work. I eventually got the wired one working, but wireless remains not. The drivers for the graphics card also seem a bit flaky. I was unable to get it to do the proper resolution for my monitor until I downloaded special drivers.

After I got all this "working" the box started randomly rebooting. I thought it was related to the new driver for the video card. But after reading the other review about it rebooting randomly, I'm going to put in a call to HP.

5 out of 5 eggsAmazing

Pros: It's amazing what computers can do now adays. I remember paying $2000 back in 1991 just to get a computer capable of games, and back then they were just starting to get into graphic-oriented play. Before that, it was all text-based (hehe). Adjusted to inflation, thats about $3000+. I paid $530 for this machine and its capable of playing Battlefield 3. These Trinity APUs are a force to be reckoned with, and so are those 8gigs of RAM. If trends keep up, we won't have computers dedicated to gaming anymore. Just computers with better APUs. I wanted a better Trinity desktop, but they are all sold out.

Cons: HP puts stupid printer junk on the desktop and the wallpaper is changed to their logo (as if it would help sales or something??)

Other Thoughts: I maxed out DayZ, TF2, Medal of Honor, and COD:MW2... So without a graphics card I cannot even understand how it can run these...

5 out of 5 eggsGaming machine

Pros: The gaming performance on this is unexpectedly great. The APU in here can max out Garrys Mod and Portal 2, so I think I may use one of these processors in my next machine this fall. For comparison, the chip beats a $300 i7-3770k in gaming graphics performance.

Cons: HP has some bloatware

1 out of 5 eggsMistake

Pros: None

Cons: Reboots itself 3-4 times a day.

Other Thoughts: Tried to do all updates, nothing changed. Contaced HP, tried their suggestions, got new message "uncorrectable hardware error". Now it reboots itself even more often.
Waiting to hear back from them. Will not purchase HP products again. Stay away from this machine, move along, find something else.
