4 out of 5 eggsNeeds to be improved

Pros: Nice system, clean and simple to run....

Cons: The keyboard is terrible...my customers can't even read them.... tiny grey letters and numbers on an matte black keyboard....I have had to replace them at my own cost.,..my customers Hate them, I can't blame them. Worst looking keyboard I have seen in my 15 plus years of selling and repairing computers.

Other Thoughts: Asus should offer a free replacement keyboard to any person who buys this unit

5 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Quad Core, 1TB hard drive, Start out with 4gb RAM upgrade up to 32gb. All that, for really great price.
Chat Customer Service is great tool to work with when needed.

Cons: The Machine is a Great machine when they work. But after ordering a few of them your bound to get one or two that wont work. To save time would be nice if they were tested again before sent out.

4 out of 5 eggsGood PC, terrible keyboard

Pros: Good features, decent performance for the price. The front has two USB 2.0 ports, a card reader, and audio in and out ports. The rear has six USB ports, and two are USB 3.0. There is also some display flexibility with VGA, DVI, and HDMI ports. In these days of Windows H8, it is nice that it comes with Windows 7. 4 GB of RAM upgradable to 16, plus a 1 TB drive up front is a good deal also.

Cons: The keyboard is terrible, you can hardly see the letters. They are a faded gray against black matte keys. Expect to replace the keyboard. It's a good thing it still has one of the old-fashioned PS/2 ports on the back, so even if you have a decent old style keyboard lying around, you can still use it. Asus must have bought these keyboards sight unseen and just stuck them in the box. Very shortsighted decision!!! And, by the way, the optical mouse is nothing special either (it feels too light), but at least it works properly.

Other Thoughts: I would have rated this five stars if it wasn't for the keyboard. I wouldn't have knocked off for the mouse. But a keyboard that's hard to read? What were they thinking???

4 out of 5 eggsFast Good Build

Pros: Fast Processor, good memory, nice looking case, only used 1 ram slot, 3 open ones for a total of 16gb total. space for 1 graphics card, Multi-card reader slot in front. Lots of USB front and back.

Cons: Only CPU fan, No graphics card, only a rear exhaust fan space 80mm and side GPU 120mm fan slot.

Other Thoughts: For the price this is a great tower to buy, needs a couple things to make it usable for graphics. comes with enough to be a great Internet PC.

3 out of 5 eggsBeware of missing PCI slot!

Pros: We bought it on sale for $399 which was a great price for what we thought we were getting. My wife only needs a data processing machine not a multi medi or gaming monster and this system seemed to suit her needs.

Cons: After researching the ASUS website and learning about the motherboard and its capacities we thought this was a great buy for the price. My wife does genealogy and needed to retire her old XP system. We needed price and user upgrade abilities. On the ASUS website for this motherboard there are two PCIe 3.0/2.0 slots for graphics cards, one PCIe 2.0 X16 slot and two PCI slots.

We had hoped to be able to ad a PCI to IDE adapter to be able to migrate her very full IDE drives to this PC.

This computer ships with a 'dumbed down' mother board that is missing the PCIe 2.0 slot which all PCI to IDE adapters must use.

It is a great disappointment that the motherboard installed isn't exactly the same motherboard shown on the ASUS site or the downloadable user guide pdf file.

Now we are going to have to use up the remaining two SATA 3.0 connectors to be able to use her IDE drive inside this computer.

Why ASUS had to cut cost by mere pennies to sell this computer is beyond comprehension.

Other Thoughts: The market is flooded by dumbed down simple PC boxes that have no expandability in the case or the motherboard and this system is just another useless statistic to be lost among many. ASUS has downgraded their reputation in this household by doing this. I have built some pretty healthy PC's using ASUS motherboards and this is a great blow to my experience with ASUS.
