5 out of 5 eggsLove it!

Pros: Pros: Upgraded RAM with an additional 4MG. This made a huge difference. Much faster than any PC, Google offers most apps I need. 90% of the time it's used to surf the internet. Chrome interface is easy to understand an a relatively novice person like my wife had no issues.

Like having no maintenance! Ended up mounting my box on the back of an existing ASUS monitor. Cleaned up my office desk.

Cons: Only cons I would offer looks to be updated on the new Chromebox. Only reason I didn't buy that one was due to the price and didn't want to spend that much for something I wasn't sure about.

5 out of 5 eggsOutstanding!

Pros: unbelievably easy set up, plug in monitor and keyboard and away you go! Incredibly fast.

Cons: None really noted,

Other Thoughts: My wife's computer died and I use chromebooks at my job so it was a no brainer. She loves it, so I love it . I am getting me one just to have. Internet speed is beyond belief IMO.

5 out of 5 eggsPerfect for my need

Pros: My mother needed a new computer after her 10 year old laptop finally failed beyond my ability to repair it. Based on her computer usage, I knew ChromeOS was the way to go, but the Chromebook screens were too small for her eyesight, and she never moved her old 17" laptop off the desk anyway, so I set her up with this. I mounted it on the back of a 24" monitor with the included bracket and wired cheap speakers/keyboard/mouse to it. She loves it, and I love not having to maintain her OS anymore.

Cons: none so far

5 out of 5 eggsGreat XBMC box

Pros: Small, silent, fast. Gigabyte Ethernet and USB 3.0 support.
I removed the Chrome operating system and installed OpenElec with Gotham XBMC. Menu access is very snappy and 1080P plays flawless. No heat problems, runs cool.

Cons: Power button takes a little pressure to push and doesn't have a click for feedback. Since the unit is so small you about have to pick up the box to push.

Other Thoughts: I tried to use wireless to stream video but unless I put the router within 5 foot of the box I had stutter issues and menus did not seem as snappy. I had XBMC Kodi installed for a while but due to PVR issues I went back to Gotham.

3 out of 5 eggsIt's okay, didn't meet expectations.

Pros: I was looking for a light weight desktop PC with little administration required to do some web surfing and check email. This mostly lives up to the task, though I had to upgrade the RAM to 4GB, otherwise there would be delays and stutters when trying to do anything with more than 3-4 tabs open. Everything is snappy now until I get to the 8-10 tab mark.

Cons: Bluetooth. Whenever the unit goes into sleep mode, it has about a 50/50 chance of re-connecting to my bluetooth keyboard. And even when it does re-connect, it often takes about 15-20 seconds to do so. To rule out my keyboard, I hooked up another bluetooth one and had the same experience. I would recommend using this with a USB keyboard instead.

Sound. When playing music on Pandora or Spotify's webplayer, there's often hiccups if I load more than 1-2 more tabs besides the music tab. I suspect this might be due to the celeron processor as I still have plenty of memory avaliable according to the task manager. Also, when the PC goes to sleep, there's a loud bang that comes from the speakers. It sometimes happens when powering off and on as well. I've gotten used to it, but if I have some guests over they often jump.

Other Thoughts: I was torn between this model and the i3 version, however the i3 version was almost $200 more. If you are okay with occasional hiccups and are not a person who keeps dozens of tabs open, go with this version.

4 out of 5 eggsAwesome Media Player

Pros: Excellent little PC for a HTPC Media Player. Flashed the firmware and installed OpenELEC with Plex, up and running in no time (literally half an hour). Plays 1080 content over WiFi with 7.1 surround no trouble at all.

Cons: No remote control. Using my phone for now. Have a FLIRC and a FireTV remote on order, so we'll see if either work.

Other Thoughts: Wish it was $150 like it use to be, but overall, I feel good value as a full featured Plex client.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat for Digital Signage

Pros: Low cost digital signage controller for use with risevision software. There is a chrome plugin for risevision player, a few tweaks to auto run and you are good to go.

Cons: Seems to be no wake on lan, but that isn't a huge deal for something that can just be left on 24/7

Other Thoughts: Great value, so cheap that you can just buy spares in case you every have hardware issues, no warranty or support needed.

4 out of 5 eggsDecent lowend HTPC setup/net client

Pros: Low price for a complete package.

Replaceable SSD (m.2 ngff type 2242 max I've seen on these are 256GB).

2x204 SODIMM 1.35v (DDR3L) sockets(MUCH appreciated over the gimped chromebooks with soldered RAM).

Cons: Higher end CPUs increase in cost too much v. the haswell celerons, e.g. the i3-4010U m0075u and the incredibly egregiously overpriced i7 variant.

Other Thoughts: Dual booting chrome os(it's 38.xx while my i3/C720 is 39.xx) and openelec/kodi for now. Planning to replace SSD w/128GB already swapped out the anemic 16GB for the 32GB leftover from my C720 upgrade(128GB - chrooting xfce ubuntu to turn it into a more generally useful notebook).

Chrome os, net client, to me? Meh. Not much use at the end of the day for that, but I'll probably leave a small slice for chrome os which I am betting will never end up being used v. constantly in openelec/kodi, BUT THAT is WHY I purchased this, as a small lightweight HTPC.

(-1 egg was for poor product pricing v. CPU variants although ATM for me the 2955U celery is enough, but I could easily see other needing/wanting what more complete core variants offer at non-ridiculous prices.)

Also, stay away from ARM if they ever offer those unless they're ~$50 and you have low expectations or already know how weak ARM is and poorly supported by linux(blame ARM/SoC mfgs/iGPU licensors for providing limited/shoddy drivers and little/no interest in OSS drivers, but at the end of the day ARM is just a poor CPU design no matter how you slice it.)

5 out of 5 eggsGreat Box

Pros: I was using my main tower to run as a client for KODI/XBMC in the livingroom. But man oh man, the fans were so loud I would have to crank the volume up just to drown out the jet engine sound.

I replaced my main tower with this chromebox (running OpenELEC) and it went from sounding like a jet engine to sounding more like a purring kitten.

Most importantly, OpenELEC runs very smoothly on this chromebox. I have not had any issues. And once you Google the 'how to instructions' OpenELEC was easy to install as well.

Cons: None.

Other Thoughts: I plan to replace all of my clients with one of these compact, light and quiet chromeboxes.
