1 out of 5 eggsNot A Happy Camper

Pros: Very fast shipping..Snazzy looking...Very roomy...Works wonderfully fast when it works. Customer tech service didnt keep me on hold more than 10 minutes except for one time.

Cons: BSOD, BSOD,BSOD....Did I mention BSOD? On first bootup it BSODed. Not a good sign. Eventually I got it to boot correctly without a crash. But it needs to reboot 5 or 6 times each time just to get to the splash page. And then there are corrupted files here and there. The call back feature in customer support doesnt work as advertised. I left a message which they said they answer in order. Two weeks later I am still waiting for a call back. Ran the recommended diagnostics on the harddrive, the Video card and the ram. All came back negative. Next step was reinstalling windows. The reinstallation disk they gave me is corrupt leaving me with a nice big expensive
paperweight.

Other Thoughts: Well, besides the problems I had trying to get this system to run I ran into a few more problems earlier. There were not enough screws on the case and a few of the cables were loose. That didnt bother me so much as things like that do happen. What I wasnt too happy about was the HD that was disconnected and laying in the bottom of the chassis. The plastic holders were in place so there was no way for it to fall out without knocking the holders out too.I can only assume the HD was just stuck in there as an afterthought. The corrupt reinstall disk bothers me . Overall i'm not sure if I want to keep dealing with this but some here have said they had no issues so there is still a chance. Going to try calling them yet again about the disk. Hopefully I can get an answer. For the price I paid I expected a more professional job.......

1 out of 5 eggsBlue screened continually

Pros: The machine came and ran great on ultra graphics settings for the mmo Rift and delivered a solid 65+ fps in huge warfronts for roughly 3 hours total of gameplay. After that the machine took a dump.

Cons: Multiple calls placed to Ibuypower and each tech rep I spoke with had different ideas some conflicting on how to deal with the continual blue screen memory dumps and failed windows launches. I have wasted over 12 hours reformatting, reinstalling drivers, removing ram sticks and video card, performing memory tests and disk error checkers with no answer or cause for its issues.

Now I'm faced with the choice of either repackaging the entire system and shipping it back or gambling on a corrupt hard drive.

Also the tower is cheap and is racked out of square with uneven seams.

Another nice touch from Ibuypower was to leave out one of the spacer plates from the front drive bays leaving a gaping hole.

Manufacturer Response:

Dear Customer,

We apologize for the issues you have been experiencing with your system. Due to the complicated nature of building systems, blue screens can be caused by a number of issues. Our technicians are trained to walk you through some possible solutions, and, if those solutions don’t work, we may need to receive the system back to perform repairs. Please understand that while we test every system before it leaves our factory floor, it is impossible to catch every error, and some issues may result from poor handling during the shipping process. We are disappointed that your system did not arrive in fully working condition and was missing case parts. If you send your system back to us, our tech support will ensure that your system works fully as intended after performing repairs.

4 out of 5 eggsbad graphics card

Pros: usb, e-sata, mic, speaker inputs on the top.
nice case - easy install mounts for hard drives, etc.
booklets and driver cd's were included for: motherboard, graphics card, usb3, blu-ray player, case and a reinstallation cd. the case is well ventilated.

Cons: when it arrived; opened it up and removed the packing. checked for loose connections - none. plugged it in and it wouldn't boot up. Had a graphic cards from another computer and tried that - it booted up. tried to get a rma from the manufacturer (xfx force). so i contacted ibuypower tech support and they sent a replacement.

Other Thoughts: xfx force tech support wasn't very helpful (from my point of view) even when i asked for a rma #.
ibuypower tech support was very helpful and got a rma # right off - they sent a sapphire (brand new in box even).

memory cards - no heat spreaders
power supply draws air from under the case - you may need something under it on carpeting.

considering the price seems to be a good system. would be hard to build a similar one at this price.

5 out of 5 eggsPretty Darn Skippy

Pros: It's a pretty beast computer for the price. The processor can be overclocked a bit further too, if you know what you're doing, leading to even greater gains.
Also, Every game I've played I run silky smooth, AA maxed, Shadows maxed, ect.

Cons: I checked the inside wiring just in case when the PC first arrived, there were a few cables that came undone ( hard drive/power supply. I quickly plugged them back in)
One of the lights for the fans doesn't work either ( the fan itself works perfectly) and upon further inspection I see it was cause of some Macgyvering they seemed to have pulled, involving the wires. Nothing major as it all works just fine.

Other Thoughts: Sometimes the computer makes a noise I've never heard before, in all my years of working around computers. It's not a bad sound by any means, I figure it's just the processor kicking some processing bum.

5 out of 5 eggsAwesome!

Pros: Excellent Gaming PC. Graphics card is A+ for the money and Processor is FAST as hell. Have had no major issues with PC as of yet. Have a few Computer Nerd buddies of mine who build there own rigs yearly and they were very impressed(and jealous) of this computer. Plays Starcraft 2 and CIV 5 with graphics maxed out with no problems. Love this rig and would recommend it to anyone.

Cons: Liquid cooling is a little loud but after PC is on for about an hour usually gets quieter. This Tower is HUGE! Not really a con because I knew this going in with it being a full tower case, but something to keep in mind if you are purchasing this rig. UPS sucks for delivery. I was sleeping at time of delivery(I work 3rd shift) if the door bell had not woken me up 1,500 dollar rig would have sat on my front stoop for about 5 hours in 20 degree weather and in broad daylight.

Other Thoughts: Awesome PC for a great price. Very satisfied and happy with my purchase.

5 out of 5 eggsvery let down

Pros: ok everything i have seen on the pc is great (ie parts )
for the price u cant get much better to put it plain and simple this thing rocks

Cons: ok this is the very let down part
newegg droped the ball on the this one .
i ordered a open box so, i expect things to be not up to par, but the pc did not run. i know for fact they had not checked as clamed in there info. I say this becouse the packing foam from Ibuypower was still in the pc and im talking about the baggy inside the computer not the stuff on the out side to protect the case.
i would expect better quality control from a company
with a reputation as good as yours.
Im shipping it back to IbuyPower and there gonna fix it and send it back to me.

Other Thoughts: things to think about. ok this thing is big (i mean big !!!! real big ) if your computer table is compact ur gonna have trouble . and at that there is lots of space to work in (thats nice) i give the pc 5 eggs newegg well
gonna hav to wait and see what comes up later

5 out of 5 eggsExcellent bang for your buck

Pros: The bottomline - You really can't get a better system for this price. AMD components play nicely together. VC performance for the Radeon 6950 is very high for the price (Only a few cards out perform in benchmarks). Cooling is great and quiet. Fan controls are very convenient. Lighting is minimal, which is ideal for me since I keep the machine in my bedroom (but if you are looking for a laser show in your PC, the isn't the case for you). Software is pretty lean, with no bloatware (If you are a less experienced user and the lack of software seems like a negative to you, don't be discouraged. Very high quality open source software is now available for everything from security to word processing. Do some research or ask an IT buddy for help).

Cons: Mouse/Keyboard are on the cheapie side. Case is huge (which is not abnormal for a system like this, but still inconvenient) and you can't stack anything on top of it.

Other Thoughts: Some reviewers have commented on hardware connections being disconnected on delivery of the iBuy systems-- I checked all the internal connections and had no complaints. Also haven't experienced a single BSoD after about 2 weeks burn-in, but haven't really taxed the graphics processor yet.
