As this was a machine that needed to be put to use yesterday, I ended up having to run Diagnostics, and after several hours I found that my machine was missing critical drivers. Of particular note was the Intel Rapid Storage Technology driver for the mother board. The lack of this driver was causing the SSD to halt every 2 minutes or so. The programs were not crashing, but instead they were "Waiting" until they could write to the SSD again, which ended up being more or less the same outcome. While I am satisfied with the specifications of the machine and the delivery time, That I needed to finish the configurations of this machine was far from appreciated, and caused more headaches than the one it was replacing.
