5 out of 5 eggsEntry level gamer

Pros: This pc works right out of the box, no need to mess with anything. I haven't had a single problem with this computer working and that makes this an excellent soft introduction to gaming.

Cons: If you are getting this as an entry level gaming rig or for someone who will wan to upgrade over time there are a few components that will need upgrading to be able to play 3d games at high settings. First get a good quality PSU, the one that comes with the rig has failed other customers and I needed to upgrade in order to install a new GPU. The r7 240 is not a decent graphics card if you're going to do a moderate level of taxing gaming then you'll need to upgrade and that means more power (hence a good quality psu). The rest of the components you could change to your liking - but those two things in particular need attention first. To date I've replaced the PSU, CPU, GPU, mobo, and am going to get an ssd/ low latency ram soon.

5 out of 5 eggsLove this PC so far

Pros: Very fast, quiet, and does overall what i need it to. Came on like a charm and setup was very easy. Runs everything i need it to with absolutely no problem. Watching 1080p streams while streaming myself, fast browsing, and games on med to high settings.

Cons: Haven't seen anything I dislike as of yet. Definitely worth the money. Would upgrade graphics card and PSU but they work for now.

Other Thoughts: Definitely recommend to purchase this as long as you don't intend to have ultra graphics or anything like that. Great starting PC to upgrade as well. 10/10 for what this computer gives. Everything came as promised and performs as it should.

5 out of 5 eggsVery good PC

Pros: Very good graphics on games such as wow and others like that, runs larger games such as Arma 2 too on lower graphic. Also very easy to upgrade down the road. Overall good computer and runs great.

Cons: A would have liked a better power supply but it's not something to make me rate this computer any less.

Other Thoughts: Very good price and it is a really good buy, especially how east it is to upgrade it in the future

3 out of 5 eggsGood to start with.

Pros: Decent all around system for gaming. Don't expect to play skyrim or far cry 4 and what not. This system seems good for like mincraft, world of warcraft, and maby diablo.

Xmas is rolling around and i found this is the best system to gift to my little brother, it would be perfect for him.

Cons: Ram is cheap, gpu is weak, psu is unknown lol......i'm scared for these reason.

Knocking off 2 stars though for the following reasons:
-The PSU power cord is non functional, i plugged it in and hit the power button and it was dead. I though something else was wrong, tried my computer's power cord and the system fired right up.
-ITS LOUD. My PC has high end stuff and 8 fans, i don't hear a thing....this pc has 2 fans and man do they make themselves known lol.

Other Thoughts: Great gift or for anyone who wants to start getting into PC gaming. This system if you ever want to get into anything big will be a new GPU, PSU, and better ram to handle bigger games.

5 out of 5 eggsIdeal for New PC Gamers

Pros: -Affordable
-Ships ready to use
-Windows 7 <3
-Not Windows 8
-Plays most games on Medium Graphics, less demanding games on High.
-Nice Color Scheme/Lights
-Spacious case for upgrades.
-Runs quiet in my case(others complain about loud fans)
-Came with a free game download when I bought it.
-Perfect for a starting Gaming rig.

Cons: -500GB hard drive(1TB is more common now)

Other Thoughts: This was my first gaming PC, had it about 6 months now. I'm a full time gamer, so getting started with PC gaming I needed a decent rig. The graphics card this comes with(Radeon R7 200 series) is okay to start with. You'll want to upgrade it some time in the future, but it can easily play any game you want on medium graphics at least. The only other thing that is lacking is the memory. You'll want to upgrade to a 1TB if you plan on playing a large number of games as I do. A new hard drive isn't too pricy though. Great rig to start with, and easily upgradable. Comes with a sweet gaming mouse and keyboard, and is all you need to get started in PC gaming. Highly recommended. Oh, and it has Windows 7 so... this is the one.

Pros: This is perfect for gaming that depends on a great pc and can run most games at medium to high settings.
It's easy to upgrade
Really fast cpu
overall good pc

Cons: Only two RAM slots
Not so good Graphics card

Other Thoughts: This pc is worth the buy and will spice up your room with a red glow.

3 out of 5 eggs"Light" gaming machine

Pros: Decent system. fast boot up and program execution. good OS, I prefer Windows 7 much more to Windows 8 (horrible OS).

Cons: DVD drive not working.

Other Thoughts: I bought this machine for my dad. I knew going into it that it is comprised of a lot of out-dated components (the CPU, primarily).... but again, I knew that going in and it is for my dad who does not play hardware intensive games anyway. it works fine, it is relatively quick. the problem I had with it was: the DVD drive did not work! that was quite annoying. Most of what I needed to install was online anyway, however there are a lot of games my dad wants to install but can't until I replace the DVD drive.

Manufacturer Response:

Dear Valued Customer,

5 out of 5 eggsExcellent Vaslue For the price

Pros: I bought this to replace my old Dell laptop as a DLNA server for home. I've hooked up 2 external USB 3 TB HDs to it, a USB wireless adapter, a laser printer and flatbed scanner. Nothing slows this down. It plays movies across our wireless network with no lag, not stutter. I've recorded over 1800 movies and TV programs from my DVDs as well as 7500+ songs from our CDs. Love the computer but it's early. Will give a second review in a few months if things change. Price was just under $500 at the time I bought it.

Cons: None yet

Other Thoughts: Well worth it. Ordered it Tuesday night and it was on my doorstep Friday afternoon. Excellent service from New Egg.

3 out of 5 eggsVery entry level gaming PC.

Pros: Pros: Already comes with Windows 7 without all the bloat ware.
Case is nice size for adding components.
Price is cheap enough that if you already have a good PS and GPU, you will save some money.

Cons: Cons: GPU is weak and outdated, power supply doesn't come with a 6 or 6+2 pin for PCI-e.
Who thought putting the Power and Restart buttons on top of the PC was a good idea?
If you game at all, you will need a new PS and GPU.

We bought two of these units because our current PCs are well over 4 years old and this model was cheap enough to save us some money.

Other Thoughts: Now that I have switched out to my old 750W PS and old GPU, the CPU has no trouble handling everything I can throw at it.

If these PC's last a year I will be amazed.

2 out of 5 eggsSensible Review

Pros: Cheap. Prebuilt. Comes with Windows 7 installed.

Cons: I will include a tl;dr -- but please read because it might save you some trouble and I'm typing this in hopes that you can make an informed decision based on my experiences with Cyberpower computers.

Alright, so this computer is really a hit or miss-- some parts are cheap, some parts are decent. It really depends on how lucky you are, I guess. I say this because my buddy bought the exact same computer and got a new graphics card that is the exact same as the one I bought. His power supply, however, among other things was not the exact same as mine. However, it was also rated at 500W and the card called for a supply of the same power rating.

Short story, with the new load on the power supply a diode blew on his cheap power supply. After doing some research I found that a few guys tested this particular unit which was priced at 20 USD in 2011. The test results were a fail for all loads above 50% of the rated wattage.

What does this mean? Essentially you are only able to utilize ~250 W of that unit before it is taxed. With the cheap components something will undoubtedly short, as it did in the case of my friends power supply. However, my unit is still in business and was built by a different manufacturer. I won't bother to tell you which because you will NEVER find ANY information on them whatsoever.

I talked with Cyberpower customer support over the phone and I explained my concern over having a power supply in my computer which was essentially untraceable in any database on the internet. I asked them if they could provide me with a retailer list of the parts they bought in bulk, or a datasheet of my specific unit. The guy told me without hesitation that he couldn't help me because CyberpowerPC buys their product in bulk and does not keep a record of the datasheets.

By the time I finished my minute in a half spiel about how it was a bad business model and terrible for PR he was pretty much silent. When I asked if he was still there he gave me a monotone curt reply and I told him to have a good day and thanks for the "help". He replied with "you too" in an annoyed voice and I felt like I had just gone through a break up :( .

You will need to upgrade the graphics card if you want to do anything without slight to horrible lag. Just trust me on this. When you do find your beautiful new unit to slam into your prebuilt case, be ready for your PCI-E x1 slot to never see the light of day again because that bad boy is going to get completely covered by any mainstream card.

The real issue though is just like I stated earlier, you are going to be putting probably the largest load on your PSU if you buy an upgraded card, so you will probably just need to replace that too before it dies on you. Lot of stuff to replace right?

I'm gonna go ahead and give this a two star review because the price aint bad and it beats putting your computer together from a lot of moving parts.

Other Thoughts: TL;DR (as promised) --- The hardware is bought in bulk. Some items are decent, some are terrible. It really depends on which bulk order was used to build yours. These computers are assembled in China and then shipped back to US warehouses for distribution. You will need to upgrade your graphics card for actual gaming. Your power supply will most likely not support the new load due to terrible efficiency(~50% on some units). This will end in your power supply dying. If you want any datasheets or specs on anything other than the motherboard, GPU, and CPU --- you're out of luck, CyberpowerPC doesn't keep records.
