5 out of 5 eggsWould Buy Again

Pros: This is a great machine, it came packed better than most mainstream OEM machines. Static proof packing foam was used inside of the case to keep all the components from moving during shipping. It came with a Zotac video card, which makes the second one I own (I have not had any issues with Zotac so I am happy). Assembly is top notch, all wires are run very well and nothing seems cluttered. It included the Mobo box and all of its little accessories.

Bloatware is nominal. Some shortcuts to Zynga games are hidden throughout the UI. No oblong data services and 3rd party utilities, which also makes me happy... I dislike any kind of startup related software for handling tasks the OS tackles well on its own.

I rarely rate five eggs, and I choose to do so for this build not necessarily because of the hardware, but for the overall experience from shipping & receiving to operation. I needed a machine that would perform well out of the box because I was limited on time for a custom build.

Cons: Included keyboard and mouse are junk. Will hold you over for the time being, but the keyboard lacks media controls for volume (a must IMHO). I will not rate lower for this because the price is what you pay for. Take it upon yourself to buy a G19 or like backlit keyboard.

The case is severely over-sized for what it comes with. But that is not necessarily a bad thing. More room to work and add on if you see fit.

Other Thoughts: I have not had any issues with the PSU. 700w is more than enough for this setup.

Be sure to protect your investment with a backup battery. Power outages and surges kill components, and nothing works as a better buffer than an actual power buffer :-)

5 out of 5 eggsSuper

Pros: Faster than I expected. Runs about 28 Gflops, great for my math-intensive programs. It was easy to install an SSD and migrate my working environment to it. Lots of expansion room inside. Very quiet.

Cons: None I can think of.

Other Thoughts: Have recommended this machine to my associates. Have also recommended Newegg to those who have not found them yet.

5 out of 5 eggsexcellent machine

Pros: very fast machine, worked right out of the box. most of what i do is number crunching; 3rd gen intel core i7 chip gave a noticeable boost to performance. the 6-core chip won't speed you up by 50% over 4-core i7 chips (closer to 25% speed improvement), but still a thrill and worth every penny!

Cons: one slightly bent thumbscrew upon unpacking; this is my only complaint and is probably not newegg's fault.

Other Thoughts: very very happy with this computer, highly recommended.

4 out of 5 eggsNot bad

Pros: Good bang for your buck, able to play all my games at the highest settings with little to no lag

Cons: Seems to not be very stable at times, a better power supply will be my first upgrade, also seems to run a little hot planning on adding a couple of fans to help out with this

Other Thoughts: For the most part fairly satisfied with purchase, but seeing as how these seem to be common issues would be nice if cyber power would improve on this system a little

3 out of 5 eggsAnother Follow Up

Pros: Since installing the new Power Supply (a Corsair HX850) and a second GTX-560 video card, I've been very happy with the computer. I agree, a one star rating and no pros was inaccurate on my part: I just hate being 'ripped off' and I was angry about it.

Cons: Neither company (Cyberpower nor Newegg) was willing to take the power supply back without shipping the entire computer. To Neweggs' credit; they did give me a $25 gift certificate. Cyberpower should completely sever their ties with Xtreme Gear if they ever want any repeat business.

Given that Cyberpower was completely unwilling to work with me or admit their fault, I still can't go higher than 3 stars.

Other Thoughts: I have also replaced the cheap Xtreme Gear mouse & keyboard.

I'm still so unhappy with Cyberpower that I removed their label from the front of the computer. It's a nice case without their name on it.

Manufacturer Response:

Dear Valued Customer,
We do apologize for the issue; the problem describes possibly of shipping damage. Cyberpower will always stand behind their products; allow us to retrieve the system back to help address the issue otherwise other options maybe available. Please email your name and contact information to Cyber_tech2@cyberpowerpc and arrangements will be made.

4 out of 5 eggsReally nice PC - really bad power supply

Pros: There are a few pros about this machine

- the 16GB is awesome, I never run out of ram now.
- CPU is the 2nd best available right now, and is blazing fast.
- GPU is pretty good - it handles games like SWTOR and Skyrim on the highest settings with little to no frame lag.

Cons: CPU Temps run a little high on this machine and chip - idle in the high 20 to low 30s, but full load it hits 55C, even water cooled, and that's with no overclock. Given these temps, I am a little bit weary to overclock.

Also, the first thing I replaced was the power supply. Given the reviews on this site, it looks like CyberpowerPC doesn't use the best quality power supply for an otherwise amazing machine. I went to my local Best Buy and picked up a Corsair 700W power supply. Doing this improved system stability greatly.

Other Thoughts: CyberPowerPC - please use good quality power supplies in your rigs. Charge us more if you want, but the power supply is critical to a nice and stable system.

5 out of 5 eggsstill rocking

Pros: Bought this in Nov. and have put long hours of non stop gameing on this Rigg without any issue's. i was worried about the water cooling, or something to go wrong with all of the bashers out there and night mares reviews on all the pc's but this has way exceeded my expectations thank you new egg for the best computer rig i have ever own'd.

Cons: add a few more cooling fans.

1 out of 5 eggsPower Supply Shorted Out

Pros: None

Cons: This is a follow up to my previous review:

I was right. These companies are much more concerned with following rigid policies than with being fair to their customers. I suppose that's why a junk power supply (search the blogs) was installed in an $1800 computer: they don't care. Makes me wonder how many of the other components are as cheap as they could possibly find.

The power supply is now completely shorted out; plugging it in trips the circuit breaker.

I'm not sending it back for another of the same. I spent $175 on a power supply that will hopefully be reliable. I was played for a fool and I'll have to eat it - live & learn...

Other Thoughts: I will never buy another Cyberpower product and will never buy another computer from Newegg.

Manufacturer Response:

"Dear Valued Customer
We do apologize for the inconvenience. The system can be address by our technicians. Either to help issue the system back for service or issue replacement parts if determined any to be defective. Please remember to help register the product to help speed up the process otherwise you can email you full contact information to Cyber_tech2@cyberpowerpc.com."

1 out of 5 eggsDead on Arrival - almost

Pros: None

Cons: Within 10 hours of use, the computer will not power up. Just enough time to have installed extra fans, a wireless card, and to have spent most of the running time setting the bleeping thing up.

So, now I suppose they will want me take it apart and ship it with the hard drive all set up with my personal information and hundreds of dollars of licensed software.

I suspect it needs another power supply. But, somehow I doubt they will allow me to fix it myself.

Other Thoughts: This failure could be due to rough handling during shipping. The box looked quite beat up on arrival. I would probably have rejected it, but; my secretary signed for it, the contents seemed undamaged, and I decided to try it.
