2 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Awesome gaming rig for the price

Cons: Dat PSU...

Other Thoughts: Errything was running fine until the PSU fryed on me for no apparent reason this day. Shud have known better it was a XG-P800 which reviews are very very bad but I didnt know up until now. Let's just hope the other CPU components didnt fry with it.

Manufacturer Response:

4 out of 5 eggsGood rig for the price

Pros: Great entry-level gaming rig ... Solid components for the price.

Cons: Xtreme Gear power supply

Other Thoughts: Overall, I'm really happy with this purchase. A pretty powerful starting point for me - an entry-level gamer who uses this machine strictly for that purpose.

I didn't have the same issues others did removing the foam as the layout inside the case is so clean that I literally just popped the foam out and moved to setting the machine up.

My only real complaint is with the Xtreme Gear 800W power supply. The machine consistently shut itself down due to power fluctuations. I ended up replacing the power supply with another brand (review guidelines say I cannot mention what company) and haven't had a single problem since.

I was bummed about this because it took me little to no time to no exactly what the problem was and to verify it online with a significant number of negative reviews on Xtreme Gear power supplies in general and this model in particular. I suspect Newegg.com has received plenty of calls about it so I kind of wish they would have swapped the supply out with another or at least offered me the opportunity to upgrade the power supply to something more stable.

I would have happily given this rig "5 eggs" if it weren't for the inferior power supply, but even having to shell out an additional $130 to replace it cannot change the fact that this was a great deal.

3 out of 5 eggsGood system, but some issues

Pros: Fast and good price

Cons: Have already had to RMA the hard drive and now it's time to do the same with the power supply (fan inside the power supply is loose).

Other Thoughts: Added a solid state drive to added speed boost when access data.

Manufacturer Response:

Dear Valued Customer,
we do apologize for the issue. There are 2 methods in resolving the issue, either a replacement part can be sent or we can have the system returned for warranty services. Otherwise please contact me immediately so an RMA can be issued. Please understand I do not have your direct contact information so please forward your information to Cyber_tech2@cyberpowerpc.com.

5 out of 5 eggsSpecs + Price = Great PC!

Pros: First off I got this open box for only like $880 but even without the open box savings this is a very good value considering it would almost cost you as much money to build this same computer yourself.
Second, It is reliable, I have waited 2 months to post a review so I could have a general Idea as to how this machine handles and it handles well and is a really solid PC overall.
Finally, The whole reason why i purchased this pc was for gaming and it can run just about ANYTHING on max settings without so much as a stutter and that's without having to overclock a thing!

Cons: I do agree with the others about the packaging inside the computer making it feel like you are bending components inside the computer, but if you are slow and take your time and possibly even cut it out in small pieces to make absolutely sure you don't bend anything.

Also this is more of a video driver thing and not a computer problem but i think the current gtx 560 drivers buggy, causing occasional screen flickering, it's extremely minor and im sure it could be fixed by rolling back the driver but its just something i noticed

Other Thoughts: Also don't listen to the person who complained about there not being a wireless card and giving it one egg, yeah there is no wireless card but it is clearly stated in the specs and the LAN included works great, so don't let that keep you away from this amazing PC.

3 out of 5 eggsVery Good Performance

Pros: PC specs are good for the price, while I had it I was running all my games at 60 fps with v-sync enabled and 90-100 without v-sync.Definitely a good starter pc for any
gamer.

Cons: I have to agree with the last two reviews, this pc comes with a foam to "protec" the inside but trust me it is a nightmare to take out, even with all the patience in the world you'll get nervous as hell because it bends the cpu fan/heatsink.Not to mention mine came with a defectous Power Supply, but nothing is perfect sent it back for a replacement

Other Thoughts: Another problem I encountered, but this is regarding the case.Mine came with a grounding problem.Wich means that if you plug in something while the PC is on or touch the front pannel where the usbs are it will reboot, after few hours I found that the problem was the reset button cable that goes to the motherboard, just unplug it and problem solved

Manufacturer Response:

1 out of 5 eggsExtremely dissatisfied

Pros: Specs on this computer are amazing from head to toe, but read CLOSELY

Cons: I thought this was the perfect computer for me as I do a ton of video editing.

First, I open up the box to the computer and find a little note hanging. It informs me that I need to open up the case and remove the foam before turning the PC on. Okay, fine. They probably just did that so that the hardware didn't rattle or break during shipping. No problem. Then, I try to take this foam out...it starts bending the hardware inside and I am CRINGING as I'm pulling this thing out trying to be SO careful. It's packed so tight that it begins to bend the metal in the machine as I'm pulling it out. They have a note that says, "if any hardware is loose, plug it back in"...WHAT!? I know zero about installing hardware.

Problem #2 (so far)
So, I finally boot the computer up and the first thing that anyone does when they get on their computer, I try to visit the internet. To my surprise NO WIRELESS CARD! SURPRISE!!!!! WHAT!!?!?!? FAIL
2 bad newegg experiences in a row.

Other Thoughts: I'm absolutely beside myself right now. Sick to my stomach. The extremely expensive machine I just purchased doesn't even have wireless internet. WOW. And it's supposed to be a gaming PC? Disgusting.
Even worse, it doesn't list it on the spec sheet. There is no mention. I wish it had, "Wireless card: NO"
You'd think that a machine that is this expensive would have it installed.

Shame on CyberpowerPC for doing it, shame on newegg for not listing it.

UNHAPPY

Manufacturer Response:

Dear Valued Customer

Thank you for bringing this to our attention. The system was configured to support the components pre-selected for this build. The spec of the system is given prior to a customer’s purchase. We do apologize that the system doesn’t not meet you expectation for expansions and upgrades but as mentioned before these parts were configured for the original build. If you have questions or concerns you can always contact our technical support, 888/937-5582 or you can email to Cyber_tech2@cyberpowerpc.com.

1 out of 5 eggsNO WIRELESS CARD! WHAT!!?

Pros: The computer is totally speced out from head to toe, it looks like a winner

Cons: First bad experiece: I get the PC and inside it is heavily packed with this ULTRA hard foam. It's packed inside the PC so tight (to keep things from rattling during shipping) that when I pulled it out (very, very carefully I might add) it began to bend things internally in the PC. I was cringing trying to pull this thing out.

Upon further (immediate) investigation, I tried to get on the internet and GUESS WHAT? NO WIRELESS CARD!
Either the wireless card doesn't work or it didn't come with one. A computer that runs you $1200 SHOULD DEFINITELY have awireless card. It isn't listed on the product spec list but my $300 HP desktop had one.

This is ridiculous. I am so sick to my stomach right now.

2x bad newegg experiences in a row.

5 out of 5 eggsguess what...

Pros: Just checked my receipt - only got charged $1195 so the
honeymoon ain't over yet. so to continue - the Asrock
MB is really user friendly. Everything I've tried so far works.
Looks as good as it works. Full tower has lots of room for
more stuff.

Cons: Still not thrilled with KB & mouse. No BlueRay (don't have
any BR discs anyway...). doesn't do the dishes, either!
Oh yeah, no Firewire or cardreaders.

Other Thoughts: Try it, you'll like it!!!

5 out of 5 eggswhat?? (2)

Pros: OK, did this once, but I guess it went where reviews go to die!!... Anyway, this is a great machine. Worked well out
of the box with only minor problems. Picked out all the components when I was planning to build, but here it is all
put together.

Cons: $200 cheaper than I paid 3 days ago!! Kinda ticked off about that. Cybergear KB & mouse could have been left out. Had to make a Home Depot run to get bolts to install
neglected chassis fan.

Other Thoughts: Shoulda gotta refund!! But otherwise was almost perfect.
Added 60 gb SSD boot drive, 256 SSD download drive and
another 8 gb memory. Tinker logic - do I need it (No!), do
I have to get it (No!), will it help? (No), Okay, gotta do it.
Not a gamer so I really haven't pushed the limits, but I'm
a happy camper...'Cept for the $220.

4 out of 5 eggswhat???

Pros: Still on the honeymoon, but no disappointments. This thing
rocks out of the box. 'course I couldn't help making a
few changes...60 SSD for a boot drive, 265 SSD for a
download drive really boosted the speeeeed!! Not a gamer
so I haven't pushed the limits but compared to my old AMD
this thing...Nope! can't even compare! I was looking to
buy parts and build but this had all the components I
picked out. I was thinkin' of adding another 8 GB of memory but I really don't know why.

Cons: $200 drop since last week...what's up with that???
But if I have to find a negative (another negative) one chassis fan was not installed so I had to make a Home Depot run for suitable hardware. (had to dig a bit for
that negative).

Other Thoughts: 'Cept for that $200 it was a great buy.
