5 out of 5 eggsCyberpower PC for Video work

Pros: The 3770K is a big plus. Ability to OC if wanted or needed. Not that I plan to. Case has lots of cooling 2 large fans with room for more. Have yet to test onboard video.

Cons: Truth be told, I sorta knew most of this going in...The Video card is not exactly high end. It works well enough. The system is a little on the loud side, and this is most likely due in large part to the case being so open and set up for massive cooling...Limited RAM at the moment

Other Thoughts: I purchased a BDRW and SSD with this unit since the cost was so good. I now have a solid foundation for any future mods which will be limited to new Video card, and additional RAM. The 700W PS is more than enough for anything that I have in mind, so I am good to go there. I will work on isolating the noise and seeing if there is anything that I can do to bring it down. I have yet to work on this thing during the day where I can easily see and explore inside while it is running...all access to the internals were simply to install the BluRay and SSD drive. I suspect the side case fan blowing on the video card, and will test this later.
Also installed Win7 ultimate on the SSD, along with CS5, VLC player, AutoCAD 2012 and Office. Cant even get this CPU fan to pick up speed...
I have not done much in the way of video editing yet. With 2 little ones, never much time to sit in front of the PC :(

4 out of 5 eggsTech Review

Pros: I'm writing this review for the buyer that called my shop to service her brand new CyberPowerPC. Overall, this system is top-end and very fast. The graphics and processor, with 8GB RAM, make this a great computer for just about anything. With the exception of a few flaws this computer is worth the purchase.

Cons: I'm not sure about the testing process of these computers but, like another reviewer, this computer had minor issues and freezing. After testing the computer's CPU and RAM one of the two RAM sticks was found bad with the industry standard MemTest86. It was obvious. Once the RAM was removed the computer was simply amazing and responded with the speed that we hoped for in a machine of this class.

Other Thoughts: The customer support (which I called twice) was absolutely awesome. Not a foreigner, spoke English, handled my issue very fast and efficient. I deal with tech support 2-3 times daily and theirs is the best experience in a long time.

This system is built with care and detail. The wires are tied back and the components are very good. If only the pre-test of these machines were more extensive they'd find the little issues before they left manufacturing and the customer would be more impressed - and I'd have less service calls :)

To the guys at CyberPower: Old-school burn-in is the only way to go. MemTest86=24hours, Prime95=24hours, 3DMark, and HWMonitor for temps and voltage. My custom built machines never come back that way because I find the flaws before they leave my shop. Otherwise, keep up the good work!

Hope this review helps someone.

2 out of 5 eggsDefective

Pros: good power for the price

Cons: Right out of the box, the PC would constantly freeze for no reason. Also, if I left the PC alone for more than 10 minutes the screen would go dark and the PC would shut off after another minute or so. It didn't go into any kind of sleep mode, it just shut off.

I contacted Customer support and so far everything is being handled properly. they offered to replace it but I'm thinking I need to just find a PC with a better rating.

Manufacturer Response:

Dear Valued Customer,
we do apologize for the issue. There are 2 methods in resolving the issue, either a replacement part can be sent or we can have the system returned for warranty services. Otherwise please contact me immediately so an RMA can be issued. Please understand I do not have your direct contact information so please forward your information to

1 out of 5 eggsBad power supply

Pros: Specs seem good

Cons: This got shipped to me with a faulty power supply. Had it for all of 4 hours before having to ship it back. Now I won't have it back for over 2 weeks.

Other Thoughts: This is a very poor return policy.
