5 out of 5 eggsRuns Great

Pros: This has been my first major computer purchase for gaming. I have been highly satisfied and can run every game i have played on high at about 60 fps. Solid computer that can run long and is easy to clean with a lot of room inside. Mechanical keyboard is great for typing/gaming, mouse is decent with 2 extra side buttons.

Cons: Not compatible with VGA, but can be fixed easily with a DVI converter. Large.

4 out of 5 eggsComputer is fine Windows 8.1 sucks

Pros: Overall the graphics are great. Was able to play Tomb Raider 2013 on Ultra. (The highest level slowed the frame rate and all it gave was hair realism, so I bumped it down). Assassin's Creed 3 plays beautifully and looks awesome. Had to bump the graphics down slightly due to frame rate, but didn't notice a visual difference. Neither of these games were playable on my last system. The fan is quiet and the install was fast and easy. This isn't top of the line hardware, but it's a fair price for what is offered. Unless you are a competitive gamer, this will play anything you want it to.

Cons: Tower is much larger than my last one. Not a major concern.

Windows 8 is my major beef, which to be fair isn't CyberPower's fault. However, they DID put it in this computer, hence the 4 star rating

1) You can't play video DVDs out of the box. Silly right? Why have a DVD reader without the proper software to back it up? After 20 minutes of research I discovered that Windows 8 did this on purpose for reasons I won't get into. Supposedly you can spend $9 for an app in their store, which will make DVD's playable. I did this and it still wouldn't read DVDs. Nine dollars down the drain. I went with a free 3rd party software and it works fine now.

2) I got a green screen when I tried Youtube. Another 10 minutes of research allowed me to fix the accelerator settings and it eventually worked. However, why create a default setting that doesn't work?

When I buy a product, I expect every piece of it to work. This one didn't and the extra hour I spent troubleshooting issues cost it a perfect rating. Don't buy this for your grandma if she likes to watch DVD's and Youtube. She'll despise you forever.

Other Thoughts: If you have Windows 7 lying around. I highly recommend uninstalling 8 and replacing it while you can. You may be out of luck a few years from now though. It's times like these I wish Microsoft had a halfway decent PC competitor to keep them honest.

1 out of 5 eggsOverpriced

Pros: It should work okay.

Cons: This PC is overpriced for what it is. Look at it's components and check the prices for all of them.. you'll see that you could build a PC that is way better for the same price. It's almost always better to build your own guys.

4 out of 5 eggsNot Bad

Pros: Great Processor. Large case for air flow and some upgrades. I really upgraded mine a lot. I probably should have just gone to Cyberpower and ordered what I wanted. It would have been MUCH cheaper. I just couldn't help myself. ha

Cons: The cable management was very poor. I opened the side cover and it about popped clear off of the table. Then I couldn't get it to go back on. All of the cables were zip tied into a big wad that prevented me from puting it on without having a big bulge in the side cover. I honestly don't know how they got it to fit. When I did my upgrades I re-routed all of the cables which made getting the cover back in place a breeze.

Other Thoughts: It is a decent PC for the entry level gamer. If I hadn't put so many upgrades into it I would have not spent so much money on it but that's my fault. If you're looking to upgrade to an SSD or more ram it's a good deal. If you want to upgrade more than that, just go to Cyberpower and order what you want.

1 out of 5 eggsTerrible Company

Pros: Looked good on paper.

Cons: Worked for 30 minutes, BSOD'd. After that, continued to happen over and over. Sent it for repair, came back after 3-4 weeks, wouldn't turn on.

Other Thoughts: Arrived after close to a month after purchased and worked for about 30 minutes before I got the great BSOD. Happened multiple times, called customer service and got an RMA. Apparently it was a faulty hard drive. About 3-4 weeks later I got the computer back, and it wouldn't turn on at all.

I decided at that point to just return the whole thing and build a computer myself. I contacted them that I would like a refund and they told me that they would not refund my noise reduction products, because they are not reusable. I was ok with that, it was only $14. But then they told me they would also not cover the shipping to return the defective computer. I talked to them and they would not budge on that point. So, I went through my credit card company and got it sorted there. Got my refund in full.

I strongly advise anybody who wants a nice gaming computer to build it yourself, or use a different building service. This was the worst experience I have ever had with any retailer.

1 out of 5 eggsVideo Card Dies

Pros: Powerful system

Cons: Video Card is junk. Service Support terrible!

Other Thoughts: Our video car died after about four months of use. I bought the extended warranty but it isn't in effect until after the first twelve months. You are stuck with the manufacturer. There support is HORRIBLE. You get put into a mail box where they assure you they will call with in 24 hours. I have called three times in three days and guess how many times they have called me..... wait for it... YES... ZERO times! So now I am stuck with a huge paperweight for my desk because these tools can't answer the phone and fix their garbage unit.

1 out of 5 eggsThe Price of this Build.

Pros: 4770k- This is what initially caught my attention when I saw this. Usually pre-builds don't exist with this cpu at this price range. I will explain why in my other thoughts.

Cons: The actual price of this build.

Other Thoughts: So I went through the trouble of pricing this out for all you guys looking to purchase this. As we all know pre builds cost more then building it yourself.

In my personal opinion building your self is a breeze and actually fun as well.

My Theoretical price was $800 which matched up exactly with this build.

$340 - 4770k
$90- R250
$42- Mother Board
$75- RAM 2x4 Gig sticks( Higher clock then 1333 even)
$44- Power Supply
$100- A decent case, you could skimp out on this and be fine even.
$17- CD-ROM drive(Who cares)
$90- 2TB HD
$100- Windows 8.1 OEM

$798 is the actual price of this build. Find some deals and you could build it cheaper then that. All of these components are price out from existing ones found on newegg. I did this in less then 10 mins and so can you.

3 out of 5 eggsOk...

Pros: Very nice CPU...

Cons: It has a very bad Graphics card! The CPU can't run to it's full potential due to a bad Graphics card holding it back!

Other Thoughts: DO NOT BUY! BUILD YOUR OWN!

2 out of 5 eggs

Pros: When it was able to stay on it ran really well!

Cons: It only functioned properly for two days then I had to send it in to the manufacturer (CyberPower PC) for repairs. The repairs took three weeks. When I got it back the computer couldn't stay on for longer than twenty minutes without crashing, restarting, or locking up. The retailer has refused to refund me and the manufacturer appears incapable of fixing the rig so I'm stuck with a $1000 brick and some "very sincere apologies".

Other Thoughts: As a chronically ill (fibromyalgia) graphic designer who works from home I had invested in a powerful computer in order to help me speed up my workflow but, as of now, I see no end in sight to this dilemma and have had a very hard time explaining what is happening to my clients. I expected to have a working computer, and I still do not. I am very disappointed with the service I've received from both Newegg and Cyberpower at this point.
