5 out of 5 eggsAfter 2 months

Pros: Very happy with this PC. I bought this for a great price $499,

Has not lagged while playing EQ or EQ2.

Cons: Finding a good video player for Windows 8.1!!!! I have installed 3, still not happy with them.

1 out of 5 eggsHard drive failure in 4 months

Pros: Cooling, Case, motherboard, CPU and little to no 'bloatware'.

Cons: Fans are extremely loud. Hard drive failue in 4 months.
2nd desktop purchased from New Egg in 2014 that failed in less than 4 months. First failed desktop was a refurb so the Cyberpower I bought was new. Both purchases were to replace a 12 year old destop only used for websurfing that I built that never had a component failure. My son has an 8 year old Cyber power that still performs.

Manufacturer Response:

4 out of 5 eggsOh boy!

Pros: performs very well. Runs games flawlessly

5 out of 5 eggsupdate on my 2175 ultra

Pros: So I've had this pc 3 months now. It's still running perfectly. I installed a Corsair RM750watt. I'm ordering a GTX 980 GPU next. This pc is perfect for beginner computer builders. It's all round a good pc and worth the money. Also the Ram that came with mine was @1600 not the 1333 as advertised.

Cons: The power supply is too weak

Manufacturer Response:

5 out of 5 eggsGood for first timers

Clean setup
Good for beginner builders

Cons: Fan is too loud

4 out of 5 eggs

Pros: - Has got the job done for me before and after upgrades (graphic design, streaming, video editing, etc.)
- 8 core processor GREAT for multitasking
- 2 GB graphic card, very reliable!
- Overall reliable PC
- Power supply originally advertised as 350 watts, came with 430!
- Easy to upgrade
- TurboBoost very useful with the processor, seen at 3.7 GHz every now and then
- Shipped quickly!
- Great value for those looking for a pre-built PC!
- Easy to work with when taking apart/troubleshooting hardware
- One side being clear looks nice!
- 8 GB RAM enough to get done all your basic needs, no problem
-

Cons: - Fan that comes with PC is a bit loud at times
- Low end motherboard, no USB 3.0 connectivity, lack of more PCIe slots; nothing deal breaking, although something to note
- No built in wireless connectivity
- Overall not a ton of HDD space (as advertised)
- Lower end frequency RAM @ 1333; also nothing deal breaking
- Windows 8.1
- Keyboard/Mouse are wired (more clutter if you prefer wireless)

Other Thoughts: - Owned this since Black Friday '13
- Upgrading motherboard and implementing liquid cooling wouldn't be a bad idea
- Use video ports on from the graphics card when setting up
- Tech support very helpful with upgrades/general questions

4 out of 5 eggsDecent so Far

Pros: It Booted Right up in about 5-10 seconds, I've played a few games on it. I have enjoyed it for the most part.

Cons: First off I'm pretty sure this mouse has been unboxed before as 1. It only had two of the four counterweights in it and two, the mouse wheel went from working sporadically to not working at all. It just spins free now.

2. The rear fan is actually spliced in to the fan cable for the cpu fan. When I first fired up the machine the back fan didn't work at all, then I realized that the red wire had come out from being spliced into the cpu main fan. I've installed fans before and have never seen or done that. Maybe it's legit, but had me wondering. Maybe, it's not actually spliced at all, but just came disconnected from the connector giving it that appearance. Either way help here would be appreciated.

3. With the current psu I'm not sure if I can install a 3rd fan which the case desperately needs as my gpu is running at about 80* farenheit when in game. I'm not sure if it can handle the extra power or if it has connections for it [as why wouldn't they connect it to the psu normally instead of splicing it in?
I'll be giving them a call tomorrow and will report back.

Other Thoughts: I wouldn't want to return a whole pc which I've meticulously been setting up for the past two days for a defective mouse, but word to the wise AND cyberpowers Q.C. department, this mouse is pretty cheap despite some cool features.

2 out of 5 eggsHorrible, not sure why. But horrible.

Pros: Games play well with great, smooth graphics.

Cons: First off, the company seems like a joke. When I first got the computer, I called CyberPC tech support because Windows wouldn't launch one day. The person on the phone instructed me how to select the proper harddrive to boot from...because apparently if you plug in a flash drive, the stupid thing will occasionally try to boot from that. Tech support acted like this was a regular occurrence. I have never encountered such a ridiculous issue. That being said, at least it was easily fixed.
After that, the computer continued to run erratically. I'm scared to install any games on it because I've literally had a problem installing every single one. Now I'm not sure if this is due to the computer or Windows' terrible new operating system...but either way it's very frustrating. This computer has been such a headache for me.

Other Thoughts: My last resort is getting my friend who knows more about computers than I do to help me upgrade it, including removing Windows 8. If you buy this computer HANG ON TO THE BOX. I was not aware of Newegg's return policy and threw out the box the day before my computer started acting up. Now I'm down 500 bucks and am stuck with the worst computer I've ever had. Definitely avoid this purchase.

3 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Overall good pc for the price, decent keyboard and mouse combo and starts up quite nicely.

Cons: Horrible power supply, I had it for three days and used it mainly for gaming I tried to play Dirt 3 and DayZ but every time the computer would just crash, VERY FRUSTRATED! Reading a lot of other reviews I then came to the understanding that the problem was the power supply. I ordered a new EVGA 600 watt power supply which should fix this problem. Also the fans are noticeably loud but if you put on a headset it usually draws it out of your attention.

Other Thoughts: Besides the power supply and loud fans this pc is very good and recommend it to beginner gamers like mysef.

Manufacturer Response:

2 out of 5 eggsNon-Gaming Computer

Pros: Good value computer with decent speed. AMD Catalyst tells me that I should and can run games on maximum everything, but I left settings where they were because...

Cons: I bought a gaming computer expecting to be able to play games. Unfortunately this model seems to crash within minutes of trying to play anything. I've read other reviews of people saying that the PSU isn't good enough to run the GPU (which seems likely as the recommended watts is 380w and this computer only has 350w), or possibly just received a defunct GPU (although I'd hate to have to send it back for replacement). Spent 2 days now trying to resolve the problem without swapping the PSU to no avail.

Other Thoughts: Contacted Cyberpower tech support but I'm still waiting to hear back from them. I'd actually be ecstatic if they responded and just told me that the PSU is too weak. Hopefully they will respond soon. If all I have to do is replace the PSU then it's still a good deal, but if that doesn't fix my problem then I'd say this computer is little more than a nice web-browsing unit.

Manufacturer Response:

Dear Valued Customer,

We do apologize for the issue you are having with your brand new computer. There are 2 methods in resolving the issue, either a replacement part can be sent or we can have the system returned for warranty services. Otherwise please contact me immediately so an RMA can be issued. Please understand I do not have your direct contact information so please forward your information to Cyber_tech2@cyberpowerpc.com.
