4 out of 5 eggsGood little machine

Pros: Small size, reasonable performance, Windows 7 and a great price.

Cons: There is no DVI output so plan on using the HDMI output if you want a digital signal. (It has VGA and HDMI outputs only.) The keyboard is horrible - it uses very low profile "Chiclet" style keys; plan on getting a better keyboard.

Other Thoughts: This was purchased as a homework machine for a high school student, and for that it is nearly perfect. It's never going to be a gaming machine, but it does everything else in a competent manner.

5 out of 5 eggsAesoemme system

Pros: This is a great system. I have several Lenovo's from tablet to laptop to PC. Nice small footprint, fast, plenty of memory, hard drive and processin power. Great for a home PC or business workstation. Very solid construction. This is probably the best small-footprint PC i've worked with. And i've worked with a lot!

Cons: none

Other Thoughts: I got it while the egg had a pre black friday deal going for $249 +/-. You can't go wrong even at the normal price.

5 out of 5 eggsPowerful little package

Pros: Lenovo rocks. I've been using their computers for years. Never had one problem. I bench marked this computer and it was much higher then comparably priced computers. I looked up the processor before I purchased it so I knew it was a good one. Really great performance for so little!

Cons: Not one complaint or snivel.

5 out of 5 eggsNice Little Box

Pros: Very quiet, small footprint, very solid construction, not Win8

Cons: None, in my application

Other Thoughts: I have had a similar Lenovo box, but with G620 proc and wi-fi, running Kubuntu for about a year. When my wife's complaints about her aging XP system reached the critical point, I bought this one (Black Friday sale - $100 off!) for her. She's very happy with the system, and I'm very happy I was still able to find a solid system with Win7.

5 out of 5 eggsVery good

Pros: Compact, quiet, fast, nice looking, 1TB HDD

Cons: No eSATA, no USB3, no WiFi, no 5.1 audio, CPU is not energy-efficient (65W)

Other Thoughts: I've finally got this item delivered. Two-days shipping turned to be a week, I assume the UPS was very busy those days...

I bought this computer to make it an HTPC, and it works very well, smoothly playing any video files I fed to it. I'm very impressed how quiet and fast this box is.
I had to buy also a PCIe WiFi card to connect this PC to my wireless network, but that's not a big deal.
Since this box is an entry-level workstation, but is not intended to be an HTPC, the case size somewhat bigger than I expected and it does not fit fully to my under-TV shelf. Not a big deal as well.
The CPU is 2-3 times more faster than in other Intel Atom based compact boxes you could get for the same price and about the same speed as a two year old Core i3 CPU at the same clock.

I also impressed it had Google Chrome browser already installed and it is made the default browser.

For the black Friday's discount price ($299) it's a super computer, but for the full price ($499) there may be something better could be found.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat for Office PCs

Pros: Bought 2 of these for office use during the Black Friday sale. Spectacularly good deal, I wish I had bought 2 more since they're $100 more now.
Great small footprint desktop computers that have everything you need, and they seem to work very fast.
Good looking, have a glowing Lenovo logo (I haven't checked if you can dim this in the bios) and a blue LED fan you can see through the vents in the side.
Usually when I buy these types of computers, I need to put in a half-height video card to support two monitors, but I was surprised that this computer can do two monitor extended desktop out of the box, through the VGA and HDMI ports. It would be good if there was some way to know this about pre-built desktop PCs before buying them, since 90% of the ones I've bought can only show 1 image at a time, even though they have multiple monitor ports. This is a big benefit for me, since it means I don't need to buy and install video cards.

Cons: Usually I buy the small footprint Acer desktop PCs. This is about the same size, but this PC weighs 20 lbs compared to Acer's 8. These will be carried/shipped to an out of state office, so the weight is a bit of a problem for me. Not really a negative, and probably won't bother anyone else. I probably should have done my homework on the issue but it didn't occur to me that the weights of the two systems would be so different.
A DVI port would have been slightly more useful to me than an HDMI port. It would be better if it had all 3 ports.

Other Thoughts: I don't know if this would be useful as a gaming PC. I suspect that you'd need to put in another video card, and you'd have to find a low profile card that does what you want. With a $30 video card I'd think you could play most games, but you wouldn't want this system for bleeding edge graphics. For office use this PC is more than enough.
