5 out of 5 eggsSweet so far

Pros: For $969 it's pretty hard to beat. The 660ti card alone is practically a third of the cost. Running BF4 on high 1080p 60fps.

Cons: The only con I have so far is the fans run CONSTANTLY and they are somewhat loud. I wear a headset so I don't really notice it but without the headset on the fans can be distracting. I'll probably replace them with some silent ones in the near future.

Other Thoughts: Not really a con but a sound card would have been nice for a "gaming" PC. There's nothing to plug my ASTRO Mixamp Pro unit into.

1 out of 5 eggsWorst Purchase I have made in years and years

Pros: This PC worked for 33 days

Cons: - It wasn't as fast as I would have expected.
- Tech support was absolutely awful. The hard drive died after 33 days and I had to return it, they just sent me back my drive with no reason. I would call and complain but decided to give them a bad review.
- Just contacting tech support was difficult, I had to call new egg and have them contact Avatar for me.

Other Thoughts: The reason I bought this system was so that I didn't have to build a system (which I have done for years). I pretty much had to build this one all over again.
I could have built a better system for less time and money.

2 out of 5 eggsAw F**k!

Pros: Fast, quiet and cool looking. I never noticed any excessive fan noise as some others commented on.

Cons: It worked great right out of the box and it continued to work great up until 36 days after I ordered it and then it stopped; it won't boot. It gets power and lights up but it won't boot. I am waiting to hear back from AVATAR to see what will happen now.

Other Thoughts: This seems to be a too common problem with this unit based on some of the other reviews.

4 out of 5 eggsNice Computer

Pros: 8-core processor 4.0 GHz, 16 GB of RAM, 2 TB hard drive, 2 GB graphics card. Nice case!

Cons: Cheap Motherboard. It only has Sata 2 and one PCI slot and one PCI Express slot which is covered by the graphics card. Stock CPU Fan is a little loud, easily fixed with an aftermarket cooler.

Other Thoughts: For the price you really can't beat it. I threw a ssd for the os and added three more fans to this setup. Overall I'm pretty happy with my purchase.

2 out of 5 eggsTerrible noise

Pros: Runs very smoothly and is fast

Cons: Cooling makes terrible noise even at no system load at all. Unbearable to work with because of this. I can only stand it because I wear headphones with my games (which are usually noisy too). Can't believe how this setup of components could go through quality control. I definitely can't recommend this computer.

4 out of 5 eggsWorks Fine

Pros: Works fine. It's quiet.

Cons: Does not do 5.1 sound straight out of the box, though you can fix that by downloading RealTek audio manager.

1 out of 5 eggsNo 5.1 Sound

Pros: As a non-gaming desktop computer, it runs fine. The fans are quiet. It comes with a nice app that speeds up the fans when the CPU gets too hot. It's a nice feature.

Cons: As a gaming computer, this product is deficient. According to Avatar tech support, the motherboard is not capable of any sound beyond basic stereo. It can't run a subwoofer. It can't do any surround sound. If you want an immersive gaming experience, then this machine is not for you. Calling this a gaming computer borders on fraud. Newegg made a big mistake on this one, and I'll be out of pocket another $50 to get a sound card to handle what the motherboard was supposed to do.

4 out of 5 eggsAvatar Gaming FX8366

Pros: Well, I was going to buy most of these parts seperatly, until I found this. It was a really great deal, especially with the 2 TB HDD. It has a top of the line processor, the graphics card is pretty nice, but im buying a second one to sli, and it comes with 16 GB of RAM. This computer runs most games at 60 FPS, unless your recording, (which is why im sli'ing).

Cons: The one con with this computer, and the reason it is cheaper than buing the parts seperatly, is because the motherboard is just a cheap micro atx. I am replacing it with an Asrock 970 EXTREME4. Im also not a big fan of windows 8, which is why I installed windows 7 on it. Besides that, great build, highly recommend it.

4 out of 5 eggsVery pleased

Pros: Incredible upgrade from my past laptop, speed, ram, storage- its all here. I do little gaming, I purchased this CPU for VIDEO and AUDIO editing purposes. So i cant speak to graphics like some of these other reviews might. However, i am very pleased with the computer overall. Runs protools 11, adobe cs 6 everything, reason, fruity loops just fine.

Cons: the only con is the situation with the USB ports. It seems to me that they all work correctly, but i have enough USB's plugged in that i get a pop up warning telling me there are not enough USB resources available for all my equipment. This is pretty flippin annoying. I have (usb connections) :: mouse, keyboard, headset, seperate set of external speakers running through an audio interface (mbox 2 mini) and thats it. It wont allow me to have the external speakers, and the headset connected and toggle between the two. I have to unplug my headset, reboot and plug in my speakers and let it boot with only those plugged in to get them to work, and even then i have trouble. Mind you, im running some pretty serious speakers so im not sure if that's an issue. This may not affect you but it does with me. I havent even plugged in an external drive or external card reader, but im sure with all these other connections, both would fail.

Other Thoughts: aside from the lack of USB resources i love this computer. It is quite possibly one of the best deals on newegg here. PS- is this a motherboard issue? or if anyone is having similar issues and found a fix or something email me : mpawlick @ gmail ((no spaces and .com)) thanks
