3 out of 5 eggsSemi-Great PC for Avatar

Pros: This PC is very nice for gaming yes. With all right equipment, it runs smoothly. You, however, may need to replace some parts of it, because..

Cons: ..this thing's fan makes a ton of noise. Also, whether it's me or not, the taskbar almost frequently gets messed up. Then you have to replace the power supply if you don't want it to randomly power off.
Otherwise nice PC, if you've got the money to buy it then know you should also have the money to replace some items it comes with.

One more thing, that tiny mouse was really nice but it broke real easy.

4 out of 5 eggsSavior To Both Having a PC and a Gaming PC

Pros: Quite updated.
Plays most modern games little to no problem.

Cons: Minor crashing but a simple reboot fixes the problem.
Home Group always comes back.

Other Thoughts: This wasn't a PC I was originally going to get, I wanted to get a Gaming PC without a doubt, but it wasn't going to be this one. The one I had in mind sold out and this was the next best thing, granted I would of paid a little extra money, and the only reason I was getting a Gaming PC was because I broke my old not so great PC which wasn't so great of me doing so. But boy am I glad I bought this machine. I'm not kidding, this PC is quite good, and during the time it was being sold, it wasn't a bad price. Especially considering the potential this machine is capable of doing. In a nutshell, this PC is capable of playing most modern games, even ones that are still being released today. Though some games I couldn't maximize the graphics in order to play them without frame rate issues or any other issue. However it can still play them which is all I could care for. And even if the graphics was a problem, when the time comes that I wish to upgrade the graphics, I'll simply buy a new Graphics Card. Everything else in the system is perfect. Go to a place called "Can You Run It" green thumb on everything except Graphics on Maximum, you still meet the Minimum every time. Now this PC does have some downsides, but what PC doesn't have issues whatsoever? The only problem I've had with this machine is it's tendency to randomly crash and give a Black Screen with something at the bottom saying "DMI not functioning" or something like that. Regardless a simple reboot fixes the issue and isn't even a common sight for it to even be a bother. Actually I find Home Group, a particular application software that claims to save data via Cloud, which is cool, but I don't want it. Problem is you can't exactly delete it like a normal software, almost feels like one of them Malware files. And when you do find the way to delete it, it always comes back through an update from Windows 8. But other than that it's far from a bad PC. I like it, it plays a lot of games I want to play, and opened a large opportunity of what I can and can not play with this machine.

1 out of 5 eggsJUNK

Pros: Well, the AMD 6 core processor is fast...

Cons: Be it this pc or Windows 8 , it crashes to a black screen every week or so... "Can't verify DMI data pool" or some such non sense... Sometimes it won't boot, Have to push the off button and try again. Mouse and keyboard are the cheapest I've ever seen.

Other Thoughts: The last 10+ years I've built / modified our own gaming pc's. Thought I'd give it a break and just buy one. This one was a BIG mistake !!! I've never had a pc crash as much as this one... Cheapest mouse and keyboard I've ever seen.... Maybe I can reuse the AMD processor and Ram in another pc..... I have not played any FPS games as I used to so can't say anything about the video card, but with the rest of the pc, I can imagine what game play would be like. Sound only has ONE place for speakers... I must say New Egg is once again a Great place to shop though !! This is not thier fault. I'll buy here again, as in previous years. Very fast shipping.

3 out of 5 eggs6 months in, and everything's good BUT...

Pros: Graphics card is amazing, case has so much room and easy to pull apart to clean.

Cons: Its been six months, and I was downloading Sims 3 and it seemed to be overheated now.. I doubt its the computer's fault, but could be the parts are faulty in mine. Also the thing is HUGE

Other Thoughts: Would prefer to get someone from here to help me, but I can handle it if not.

3 out of 5 eggsReliable computer, CPU fan died though

Pros: Great graphics and cooling through out the tower, lighting and wires are well organized for future updates including additional internal drives.

Cons: CPU fan died after 4 months, easily replaced with room inside the tower for a much larger fan/heatsink.

Other Thoughts: Easily ran FFXIV graphics engine (relevant mmo graphics engine?) which my purchase was intended for.

5 out of 5 eggsNot A Bad Base System

Pros: Received the FX-6300 chip instead of the 6100, that was a nice surprise (faster and more stable).

Cleanly installed interior (a lot of open space for ventilation).

Cons: Noise CPU fan.

Other Thoughts: Solved the noise CPU fan issue by adding two case fans 1 intake (side) & 1 exhaust (rear). Case comes with a front intake fan but it is not enough to keep the CPU fan from throttling up to 5k RPM. I didn't have an over heat issue, just an "over worked" CPU fan.

3 out of 5 eggsCould be better, Could be worse

Pros: Pros:
Very nice looking
Good amount of USB ports
Plug and play, easy started
Cheaper then most for quality
mid sized while maintaining a fullsized tower status
good functioning mouse
runs all my games flawlessy without lag, i can even have on at the same time

Cons: Cons:
LOVES to randomly restart, especially on youtube however never netflix
CRUMMY keyboard
low value sound card
fan can be loud, always is super loud after its random restart
cant turn dvd drive sideways and mount it
comes with windows 8 [enough said]

Other Thoughts: The computer comes with windows 8 so the keyboard THEY ship it with will not work right. the keyboard is speced for XP to 7, not windows 8. I hate its random restarts so i have virtually stopped watching youtube, i use my phone for that now. Its is decent for the price, but probably wont be buying another avatar desktop, the quality has disappointed me for the amount i paid, i will just splurge and get a name brand next time, maybe alienware. the sound card is really disappointing, i can barely hear anything on full volume with everything plugged in correctly. I run my computer sideways so it will fit in my stereo cabnet, it has plenty of space so it wont overheat, yet it acts like it does, i feel it and its not even hot. disapointing. a 3 egg review is generous. all i can say is i got what i paid for, i wanted a "cheap" gaming computer and i got a CHEAP computer.

4 out of 5 eggsDecent Economy Build

Pros: *decent GPU - not the best, a bit on the lower end, but will atleast play all newer games on low-medium settings.
*good value - the 8gigs of ram is enough to last a few years, the amd processor is performing better than i expected it to, all around good performance for the money
*roomy - the case is fairly large, so there shouldn't be any issues with not having part fit properly (except maybe some of the extremely large GPUs_

Cons: *pretty bad PSU - the PSU works for the setup, none of the components require more power than it can handle, but if you want to upgrade your rig in the future, you will need to buy a new PSU to accompany any new components you get.
*no built in Wi-fi on the motherboard - if you are planning to set this up in a room that isn't the one where your router is, or live in an apartment with communal wi-fi, you will have to get a wifi adaptor

Other Thoughts: So far I haven't had any issues with crashing or PSU failures (knock on wood) and the boot times and load times are fairly quick. If you aren't really comfortable picking your own parts, or don't want to be bothered by building your PC from scratch by yourself, this is a decent rig to use as a base for upgrading.

5 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Fast, quiet, good graphics card and motherboard for price.

Cons: Will need to upgrade psu for expansion, but i knew that when i bought it. Also could use additional fans.

Other Thoughts: Fast and easy set up, and delivery was quick too.
