5 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Solid, dependable computer for school work and light gaming in a compact footprint.

Cons: Not very fast or powerful, but that's to be expected.

3 out of 5 eggsLenovo C345 is okay but...

Pros: Loads quickly.
Whisper quiet (the fan is not noisy like my old machine which had a constant loud humming noise.)
It's a non touchscreen.
The display is nice, clear, bright, and easy to see and read.
1 TB hard drive is nice.
Overall appearance is great with a small footprint on my desk.
The keyboard and mouse work flawlessly.

Cons: 4 GB RAM is not enough to run all the apps and programs that are preloaded.
The WiFi connection is "disabled" by default so I had to "enable" it or else run the troubleshooter every time I wanted to get on the internet! I had to search and read a lot of support sites to figure out why it was crashing several times a day for several days in a row. The dreaded Blue Screen of Death was happening constantly. Very frustrating to say the least. My honeybun said he would have sent it back by the 2nd day and wouldn't have tolerated the BSOD which happened dozens of times!

Now that I have uninstalled a lot of "bloatware" , shortcuts to "free trial software" and apps that were unnecessary, cleaned up the registry and basically started from scratch, it's running smoothly :)
Being a non touchscreen and the Windows 8 OS format with all the cute icons that are loaded at startup are unnecessary and take up valuable resources.

WiFi connection is "disabled" by default!

Many services that are running are unnecessary and some that ARE necessary were disabled by default!
I had to uninstall a lot of "bloatware" and removed shortcuts and apps that I won't need. They were making the computer lag and load pages very slowly!
In fact I ordered 8GB memory separately and hope, once installed, it will run even faster.

Other Thoughts: It's a non touchscreen yet it has the Windows 8 Touchscreen layout. All the cute icons and apps that are preloaded are resource hogs. At first I was annoyed with Lenovo but maybe it's a Windows 8 issue.

1 out of 5 eggsMixed Feelings

Pros: All in one
Starts up quick.

Cons: Where to start.

Simple web browsing-it lags bad.
Can't watch netflix in HD without it lagging.
Fan is noisy.
Biggest con yet-according to newegg this computer is nonrefundable. Beware.

5 out of 5 eggsSolid Value

Pros: Good home computer for basic surfing and family use. I was pleased with quality and feel of components. Monitor is crisp and bright. Compact all in one design is perfect for my kitchen location. I've eliminated half of the ugly cables I had snarled everywhere on my previous computer.

Cons: Lots of bloatware installed that I'll never use. I immediately uninstalled a bunch of it. Of course that was a little tough not being familiar with Windows 8. A little patience and a few Google searches and I found my way.

Other Thoughts: When it comes to the new computer, everybody in the house is happy, happy, happy.
