5 out of 5 eggsOh my

Pros: Case -- the bigger the better! And this one is a beast. This is a big system at 24.01 inches (L) by 10.62 inches (W) by 20.86 inches (H), and weighs about 61 pounds. Beautiful design, easy to reach power buttons and overclock buttons. Pretty lights and silent; often times it doesn't even sound like its on. Plenty of space for upgrades and alternative equipment. Wires could have been tucked away more neatly, but hey, I didn't have to do it.

Comes with an X700’s 9-button mouse and weight kit, and the L251G, of which is both comfortable and extremely customizable; has three lit settings -- Blue, Red and Violet; a re-branded saitek eclipse II.

The CPU unit has a default multiplier x36. The one-click overclock setting, by default, raised that to x41 which yielded a 500MHz (or about 14%) bump for all CPU cores. For the more adventurous, this can be adjusted up to x43 giving owners a 700MHz (~17% increase). For the record, the system remained 100% stable at x43 (4100MHz). Not too shabby for a pre-build unit.

Overall a good hardware combination that will serve the mainstream user/gamer well. User upgrade to GTX 660 SLI would give plenty of performance headroom. Sleek case and bundled peripherals. Good value on basic models. Input/Output compatibility, Memory, Keyboard/peripherals, Storage.

Cons: Third Gen Video card - GTX 660 1.5GB OEM is a great card, and runs most games at Ultra or maxed but as far as performance for an additional $175 I installed an EVGA gtx 780 just blows the 660 out of the water and still saves you money from GeForce 8 series or the Titan. So exacting gamers will need to consider SLI/Crossfire… or a different system.

Third Gen Processor - Intel Core i7-3820 3.6GHz -- for the price of the computer, I have no major complaints; just nerdy wants and requirements based off a pre-built rig -- this processor just doesn't cut it. The liquid cooling keeps this processor in check from over heating, which sadly, is VERY common. Over clocking is limited, specs state 4.3 is the max (personal max was 4.8 before it burned -- I wouldn't recommend going over 3.8 as a safety precaution. A pro -- its cheap and was top of the line in 2011.

Windows 8 - just sucks. Let alone all of the Microsoft Subscriptions required to update to 8.1. BUT...there are easy hot fixes that can be downloaded and hotspots can be installed to boot to desktop instead of login. Below will be your best friend if you're attracted to windows 7.
-Skip Metro Suite
-Classic Shell

Replace its 625-watt PSU if you're planning to pack the interior with extra equipment.

The OneKey overclocking is sweet, but its severely crippled by a lack of adjustability. The multiplier can be set anywhere up to x43, but that’s it -- there are no options to manually configure voltages, bus speeds, memory timings or a way to bypass its artificial x43 barrier. Enthusiasts -- particularly the gaming kind -- good luck.

Overall - Missing a high-end GPU option to compete in the major leagues. Factory upgrades don't make sense for the price. Stop software bloat, please.

Other Thoughts: Plenty of back and forth on what Lenovo should have done with cost cuts and what they shouldn't have. Feel free to read other reviews on blog websites...but this is a good start for Lenovo. I think the next gen will have more upgrade options and a better supply for what logistics that gamers really want. Overall for what I paid for it, I saved a lot of money from building it myself -- I'll accept that as "this was a great purchase."

5 out of 5 eggsOh baby!!!

Pros: *Decent price for a factory built gaming computer.
*Extremely fast boot times (normally 6-8 seconds).
*Plays all my games including Planetside 2.
*Comes with a FREE tablet! I use this everyday!

*Shipping was very fast for how BIG this computer was. I had free shipping and it arrived within 4 or 5 business days. Again that was with free shipping.
*Packing for the tower was extremely well done. It was heavily protected.
*Mouse and keyboard wasn't some cheap generic junk. I'm actually impressed with the quality.

It's also very quiet!!!!! I can't even hear it running to be honest.

Newegg's deal with this item was by far the cheapest and BEST at the time of my purchase, including the gift, and shipping.

Cons: The tower is HUGE!!!! But it looks so sweet. :)

Other Thoughts: This is my first computer that I bought brand new and I'm extremely impressed with the quality of equipment, the way the manufacturer packaged the tower to make sure this computer would not get damaged during shipping. If it does arrived damaged, it must have been beat up very badly by the Carrier, or ripped open and exposed to the elements.

I have been impressed with the help from Newegg's phone support. I have worked with Lenovo computer's in the past and didn't figure I would have any issues. As soon as I received this via Fedex I knew I made the right choice at the end of the first night.

5 out of 5 eggsRuns anything maxed out!

Pros: I did not finish my last review, so I wanted to write a NEW one!
1st of all, you do not really save money by building a computer, this is a steal for this system! This computer will run everything u want! I have been building computers for over 12 years. So I know just about everything there is to know. And I never believed in buying a pre built system before. Although, I got a sweet deal on this Erazer X700, and I could not pass it up.

If you are reading this, Go and build this same PC with all of the exact same components in to neweggs shopping cart. The cheapest u can get it, but build it as close as you can get it! And see how much it comes out to! Don't forget the water cooler, wifi card, mouse and keyboard, and windows to.

Cons: This is a very fast computer! at 4.3 Ghz I get 9.2 in cinebench, Quad Core i7 3820 with 8 Logical cores!! This computer is so fast, its just ridiculous! I love it.
Also, it is a X79 chipset, and two PCI-E slots! I can throw in another GTX 660, or upgrade both cards, PLUS! Ive got quad channel memory, and I can upgrade to a 6 core 12 thread cpu in the future. This makes for a excellent work station that has room for growth, 10 second boot times from the Samsung SSD. And just straight up performance, at 1080P I run any and all games fully maxed. I love this box!

Other Thoughts: I have my i7 3820 overclocked to 4.3Ghz, and the GTX 660 screaming at 1200mhz core/ 7000mhz memory. Also, one thing to consider.. A regular retail GTX 660 only has 960 cores, and 80 pipe lines, . This OEM GTX 660 has 1,152 cuda Cores, and 96 pipe lines. So, once overclocked it is right on the GTX 760's tail, and a way past a retail GTX 660. All OEM GTX 660 cards have 1152 Cuda cores, and 96 Texture units. It is deffinetly a great performance boost! If your only playing at 1920/1080

5 out of 5 eggsGreat gaming PC!

Pros: Excellent components, lightning fast and at a reasonable price!

Cons: Mouse and keyboard are expensive paper weights. Fan is loud but tolerable.

Other Thoughts: I've owned this computer for about a month now. Super fast startup and application multi-tasking. I really enjoy all of the components and was super easy to setup. Great packaging and loaded up like a charm. Only other downside was no option to change Windows version but I suppose after some use one could get used to Windows 8. Nothing serious to report yet, will keep this updated!
