Pros: Great computer and great price for a Win 7 Pro 64-bit system in a std. "tower" configuration.

HP calls this a Convertible Minitower", but at 17.6" high, it is 2-3" taller than any Minitower I've ever had. Refurbished Win 7 Pro 64-bit computers in this price range are typically "Small Form Factor" which use a lot of specialty components, so when this "tower" popped up I jumped on it.

One I got had both a DVD-RW & DVD-ROM as well as a 22 in 1 card reader in the 3rd slot (not shown in Newegg pic, but appears to be std. as shown in HP literature), so that was a welcome surprise.

Expected the RAM to be 4 1GB, but it came with 2 2GB so upgrading to the 8GB max will be 1/2 the cost of replacing 4 1 MB ... another pleasant surprise.

This is my 1st ever refurbished computer and I think the refurbisher of this particular machine (U.S. Micro Corp) does nice work. A few scuffs & marks on the outside of case (as expected), but very clean inside & out and no bloatware.

I was looking for Win 7 64-bit, 4GB RAM, Core 2 Duo 2.6GHz or higher, in a std. tower type case for around $200. This ended up being everything I was looking for (and then some) for $225 delivered.

Other Thoughts: Replaced a 10 year old Dell Pentium 4 with XP. Have a total of 7 computers in our house (3 desktop's and 4 laptop's) and this was the last XP machine. Could have just eliminated this computer completely, but I had gotten a nice refurb 20" 4:3 ratio LG monitor for it a year or so ago and it has our wired multi-function printer connected to it. So instead of reconfiguring the office set up, I figured I'd give a refurb a shot ... great choice so far !!
