4 out of 5 eggsGood for the price

Pros: Windows 7 Pro 64 bit.
3 year warranty, if they back it up.
Lots of usb ports.
Holds up to 16 gb DDR3 RAM.
Very quiet and foresee good service from this unit.

Cons: You have to be able to deal with small hard drive and 2gb of ram. I might upgrade RAM if issues arise.
Some minor scratches and missing two front rubber feet.
The power supply is proprietary, with a weird shape and connections and might be pricey if you ever need one, but we use these same models at work and have never had any issues.

Other Thoughts: Bought for a small child that will play youtube videos and DVD's. I had an old computer that had XP and to buy a new copy of Windows 7 Home costs about the same as this refurb did. Purchased this unit when it was sub hundred.

5 out of 5 eggsGood Starter system for PLEX.

Pros: Comes 100% functional.
very clean inside and out.

Cons: 2GB ram is barley enough if you ask me.

80GB Hard drive is too small.

It comes with the cheapest USB keyboard and mouse that I have ever seen.

Weak 240 watt Power supply with non-standard connectors. No way to upgrade the power supply so you will be very limited with your upgrades.

Other Thoughts: It serves it purpose for running Plex Media Server software to drive my Roku Clients. It runs well and is pretty quiet. I have ordered a bigger hard drive and more ram just to bring up to speed a little. Good product but wait till its on sale like I did and save so dough.

4 out of 5 eggsDecent Replacement for WinXP PCs

Pros: Low cost, 10 USB ports, Win7 Pro x64, dual monitor support.

Cons: Non-standard power supply.

Other Thoughts: Purchased 20 of these to replace aging WinXP machines in the office. For less than the cost of a Windows 7 Pro upgrade they can't be beat if the hardware meets your needs. Definitely "scratch and dent" units but I expected that going in.

Don't expect great things from the included "refurbished" keyboard and mouse. They are from a random mixed bag of manufacturers. Three of twenty mice arrived broken, four keyboards had keys that had fallen off (but were still in the bag and could be put back on). Not a concern for us as we don't need them. The hard drive in a few of the units was not seated properly and one had a round metal piece from the hard drive mounting hardware loose in the case. A dual monitor setup is possible if you use both VGA and DisplayPort without adding another video card. Eight of twenty units arrived with an add-on video card with one DVI port each (in addition to the VGA and DisplayPort for a total of three video ports) and another arrived with a parallel port. Neither of these options was expected.

It would appear that these are old business machines and you get the minimum advertised set of features plus any extras that may have been installed in their former lives. Open the unit up before you power it on to check that all hardware is secure and there are no extra bits loose in the case. The non-standard power supply is the only weak point I really see given that if it fails it may be difficult to replace.

3 out of 5 eggsGood if it's what you're looking for

Pros: No problems getting it up and running. Was able to easily register Windows.

Cons: Wanted to setup dual monitors, but the power supply (240W) doesn't provide enough juice to support installing a video card. To make matters worse, it's a proprietary PSU so no luck swapping it out for a more powerful one. May try installing a low-end card and see what happens.

Other Thoughts: Don't think this model is terribly old, so still scratching my head about the 240W PSU. Haven't seen such a weak PSU in a long time.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat computer for the money.

Pros: Price. Lots of USB ports. COM port. Nice compact size.
Great delivery time from NewEgg as usual.

Cons: None

Other Thoughts: Looking to replace an older Point of Sale workstation. Wanted to get all our computers on Windows Pro so we could manage what users can/can't do better from the server. Cost of O/S alone would be $130. For almost the same money, we also got a new computer.
