3 out of 5 eggsRefurbished: HP DC7900 Desktop PC Core 2 Duo E8500 (3.16GHz) 3GB 160GB HDD Windows 7 Home Premium 32-bit

Pros: Everything in the description except for a few exceptions. Cannot go wrong with I believe the second highest Core 2 Duo. For the average user of course.
3 - rom drives
2 - HDD
1 - optional 3rd HDD in replace of...

You know what read my other thoughts.

Cons: Power supply that I received was @ 160W.. poor. And the outdated HDD that came with it from about 10yrs ago.. but hey, what do you expect.

Other Thoughts: i am wondering if the power supply was do to the size of the HDD being at 160 gb. I mean you could replace the power supply but I couldn't with the power supplies I had because they did not fit. And I am not buying another one anytime soon. However, after I set my own for return, I realized later that I needed a bracket to holster my unused power supplies. That is extra work for another day. I guess Dell keeps to the script with the issue.

Very helpful especially for the lazies or no time folks, lol.

5 out of 5 eggsBest Deal Out There

Pros: Fast processor, great build quality. Win 7 key is valid for 64 bit. 3 GB memory is fine for most applications. Dirt cheap for what you get.

Cons: Comes with 32 bit windows 7 installed. 32 bit doesn't enforce signed drivers (to block out viruses) and is limited to 3 GB RAM. They are a bit big. You might want to make sure it will fit where you want to put it.

Other Thoughts: I've bought several of these for my clients. They are perfect for an office setting. They are built like tanks and the processor is almost as fast as some of the lower end Core 2 Quad processors.

5 out of 5 eggsgreat buy

Pros: nice tower with plenty of air flow.
3.16 Ghz - Win 7 WEI is 6.6
2 PCI-x slot for video card expansion
350+ W power supply
can upgrade to 16G memory if you prefer.

Quiet

Cons: proprietary screws for adding extra hard drive and optical drive etc.

3G memory - 2+1

reverse direction of motherboard that decent ( extra space required) video card has to use the 2nd slot - slower speed.

Other Thoughts: re-installed win 7 - 64 bit with the activation key came with.
upgraded to 4G each machine, 2+2 and 1+1+1+1

added a card reader

added cheap video cards - mainly for the kids to surf web and word processing, watch YouTube etc.

Oh, SSD also made this thing scream - 159 + 79 + 25 +7 = 220
everyone loves this machine.

and I got 2!

5 out of 5 eggs

Pros: The computer was very clean inside and out. Started up really fast and from start to finish, start up only took me 15 minutes. Within an hour I had all updates and programs I use installed. The computer feels like its brand new; both how it runs and how it looks. I am so glad I bought this instead of a brand new unit. Plus I got a 250GB hard drive instead of the 160GB, which is nice.

Cons: None that I can spot so far.
