1 out of 5 eggsComputer is good, however

This review is from: Lenovo Desktop Computer Y900-34ISZ (90DD000SUS) Intel Core i7 6700K (4.00 GHz) 16 GB DDR4 2 TB HDD + 8 GB SSHD + 256 GB SSD NVIDIA GeForce GTX 980 4 GB Windows 10 Home 64-Bit

Pros: Runs great, keyboard is very nice and fun to type on, especially when coming from a laptop. graphics on every game are absolutely beautiful. Working on projects and rendering is a dream when it comes to adobe suite programs.

Cons: The only port that works for me is the hdmi port on the graphics card. Every other port will absolutely not detect anything. Frustrating when you're use to using 3 monitors. I've tried so many ridiculous things just to attempt to get it fixed with no success.

Other Thoughts: Everything about this computer is absolutely amazing aside from the display adapters. That one thing honestly makes me regret spending my money on it.

5 out of 5 eggsFantastic buy!

This review is from: Lenovo Desktop Computer Y900-34ISZ (90DD000SUS) Intel Core i7 6700K (4.00 GHz) 16 GB DDR4 2 TB HDD + 8 GB SSHD + 256 GB SSD NVIDIA GeForce GTX 980 4 GB Windows 10 Home 64-Bit

Pros: This is a VR ready machine that has not given me a single issue yet. It is quiet, fast, and plays all of my games with amazing quality.

Cons: It would always be nice to pick these up at a lower cost, but I'm not sure that's a reasonable con.

Other Thoughts: Happy to recommend!

4 out of 5 eggsGreat gaming rig out of the box

This review is from: Lenovo Desktop Computer Y900-34ISZ (90DD000SUS) Intel Core i7 6700K (4.00 GHz) 16 GB DDR4 2 TB HDD + 8 GB SSHD + 256 GB SSD NVIDIA GeForce GTX 980 4 GB Windows 10 Home 64-Bit

Pros: Has a GTX980
Stable
Larger SSD than comparably priced systems
Pretty quiet, even under load
With the exception of Mcafee, bloatware free
Nice included mechanical k/b and laser mouse
Good looking system

Cons: I don't expect a bluray burner, but would a dvd-burner/bd-rom combo killed you Lenovo?
A 625w bronze power supply, if I was ever going to run SLI (I'm not) this would be an issue.

Other Thoughts: I've had my new machine a few weeks, and am very happy with it. Was looking for a single card/FHD home gaming pc to replace one I built a few years back. I also looked at VelocityMicro, Maingear, and Alienware but found this model beat their prices. While I know those companies might have built a more shiny rig with the same core components (i7-6700k/256SSD/gtx980), I'm happy to keep the extra $$ in pocket.

While I love the PC sofar, I have to ding it one egg for the lack of the dvd burner/bd reader combo drive, and the power supply.
The manufacturer's label on the p/s, I've never heard of them.. and bronze? I guess this is where one of the corners was cut and they were able to offer a power price. I don't think the power supply will be an issue, I never plan to run SLI.

4 out of 5 eggsSo far so good

This review is from: Lenovo Desktop Computer Y900-34ISZ (90DD000SUS) Intel Core i7 6700K (4.00 GHz) 16 GB DDR4 2 TB HDD + 8 GB SSHD + 256 GB SSD NVIDIA GeForce GTX 980 4 GB Windows 10 Home 64-Bit

Pros: Easy setup, up and running in short order with no issues.
Really quiet.

Cons: It comes with one DVD. A machine like this should have come with a Blu-ray out of the box.
It has two front accessible bays but the second one does not have a door on it so you loose the front side sleekness if you use it.

Had an issue with it freezing up when left unattended (3 times so far.) Upgraded BIOS from 29A to 32A after doing some research. So far so good.

3 out of 5 eggsRuns Great! when everything works...

This review is from: Lenovo Desktop Computer Y900-34ISZ (90DD000SUS) Intel Core i7 6700K (4.00 GHz) 16 GB DDR4 2 TB HDD + 8 GB SSHD + 256 GB SSD NVIDIA GeForce GTX 980 4 GB Windows 10 Home 64-Bit

Pros: -Runs smooth, the 256GB HD is a Samsung MZ-7LN2560 for those wondering
-16GB RAM for my needs is good (32GB would be nicer for the price)
-Seagate 2TB ST2000DX001 SSHD works great
-Case design is very well done, good looking inside and out
-Minimal crapware pre-installed (AV mostly)
-Intel CPU can run 90% + without breaking a sweat. Runs quiet even under heavy load.

Cons: -Getting the DisplayPorts to work with Asus monitors was a bit of a pain. Had to connect HDMI or DVI along with DisplayPort (2 cables) to each monitor first. Change settings then unplug HDMI/DVI cables.
-After about 2 weeks the graphics card started to make a very noticeable ticking/hissing noise everytime I ran any game (it was not the fan...). Graphics card also started to run very hot, noise got louder.
-Sent in my RMA request for a replacement. I like this box so much I am willing to give them one more shot

Other Thoughts: -I had the desktop on 24/7 for 2.5 weeks (wanted stuff to fail earlier than later)
-I like how well everything is wired, very good work on Lenovo's part.
-I didn't know how much I dislike not having a HDD notification light. I would be awesome if the case had HDD and NIC status light
-Onboard NIC performance is great, large file transfers (Steam games) to and from my Synology NAS (800Mbps + transfer rate)
-2x 120mm fans installed. The one in the front points toward the Graphics card. Would be nice to have a second one in front for HD's.
-I ran Lenovo recommended updates, Windows OS updates, and Nvidia updates before installing anything. I had no software problems at all.
-Front LED's can be very bright. Easily adjusted or turned off with installed software.
-2x Drive bays for Optical drives

5 out of 5 eggsSo Far So Great

This review is from: Lenovo Desktop Computer Y900-34ISZ (90DD000SUS) Intel Core i7 6700K (4.00 GHz) 16 GB DDR4 2 TB HDD + 8 GB SSHD + 256 GB SSD NVIDIA GeForce GTX 980 4 GB Windows 10 Home 64-Bit

Pros: Beautiful sleek case, easy to open and good ventilation
Can easily handle Witcher 3 and Fallout 4 on ultra settings
I really like the gaming keyboard that comes with the system, but I prefer my Razer gaming mouse

Cons: Haven't found any cons yet, everything worked fine out of the box

Other Thoughts: It seems like this will be a great system for right now, and easy to upgrade down the line.

2 out of 5 eggsnot sure what to think at the moment

This review is from: Lenovo Desktop Computer Y900-34ISZ (90DD000SUS) Intel Core i7 6700K (4.00 GHz) 16 GB DDR4 2 TB HDD + 8 GB SSHD + 256 GB SSD NVIDIA GeForce GTX 980 4 GB Windows 10 Home 64-Bit

Pros: It quiet. That's all I know

Cons: At the moment, I'm hoping my monitor is the one that has completely crapped out and I have another one the way. Because I'm getting no signal. And the mouse came broken. The headphones are not high end, and I can't adjust the sound when there's a control. So hopefully thats not broken as well. Got this for my son and nothing works. And yes I know computers.
