Rosewill 8x42 Waterproof Monocular is a dream come true for any boating enthusiast. It is designed with a built-in range finding reticle and directional compass to determine distance and direction at a glance. It features fully multi-coated optics with Bak-4 Roof Prisms to provide you with maximum resolution and high contrast views. Being waterproof and fogproof protects it from the elements while a rubber coating protects it from the environment. An adjustable hand strap is attached to the monocular for added convenience and comfort.

Cons: We ordered two of these for hiking and after 5 minutes of frustration that my girlfriend couldn't use the compass to spot the sights I was directing her to I finally figured out that the compass in each of the devices were off by about 10 degrees to each other (meaning a point of reference at 180 degree in one was at 170 degree in the compass from the same spot). Poor quality control and/or manufacturing. Will have to return both since not sure which one is correct.
