Light isn't bright enough. Can't really see anything through it effectively. Other Thoughts: I bought this to use in computer and electronic repair. Didn't help. Fortunately it was cheap and I was able to re-gift it to a friend. I have a stationary tool on my workbench that has arms to hold something and a light+magnifying glass combo for inspecting the object.
