Pros: surprisingly good optics at this price. super tiny, like 2 inches tall. I put this on my iphone and i could see the individual r g b strips in each pixel. i would recommend doing that, its neat.

Cons: zoom and focus knobs may not last too long. would have preferred a AAA battery instead of three button cells which are harder to find.

Pros: Small, easy to carry in your pocket or in a backpack.

Cons: Hard to focus. Light isn't bright enough. Can't really see anything through it effectively.

Other Thoughts: I bought this to use in computer and electronic repair. Didn't help. Fortunately it was cheap and I was able to re-gift it to a friend. I have a stationary tool on my workbench that has arms to hold something and a light+magnifying glass combo for inspecting the object. I wanted something similar that would fit in my pocket for house-calls.
