My old mini dp to DP cord got some wear and tear so i swapped it out for a higher quality mini DP to HDMI cord that I can use with a TV and an adapter for my display port only monitor. Pros: I wouldn't know

Cons: It is not working at all. My old mini dp to DP cord got some wear and tear so i swapped it out for a higher quality mini DP to HDMI cord that I can use with a TV and an adapter for my display port only monitor. After swapping it in... nada.
