Other Thoughts: Spent 20 minutes unpacking and setting the TV up and then turned it on to see 1/2 the screen showing odd colors, etc. BIG disappointment as I was hoping to have this for entertaining during the NCAA tournament. Despite Newegg's double-boxing and no noticeable damage, the LCD screen wasn't working. Luckily Newegg's great customer service issued an RMA and will refund my purchase.

Pros: Awesome picture quality!!! Menus are very well laid out and deep. The TV is just beautiful!!! Out of the box and ob the wall in less than 30 minutes. Could not be happier!!! A GREAT HDTV.....

Cons: Black levels though not as bad as some claim they could still be a bit darker but the picture is so awesome it more than makes up for this...

Other Thoughts: I have owned Samsungs and Vizio HDTVs and this is by far the nicest set I have owned to date... The set was double boxed and packaged perfectly ...Newegg is a fantastic retailer.....

Pros: Picture is Breathtaking. Colors are simply sublime. Best TV Sound of ANY Set I have encountered. The Menu / Controls are very well laid out and abundant. This set is a real "Looker" The Lucite Bezel is a very nice touch. Out of the box and up on the wall in less than 30 minutes. Vesa mounting screws already attached!!! Nice Touch LG...;~)

Cons: Black level is not as poor as some state but not perfect either But considering the overall picture it is relatively minor, but still worth mentioning.

Other Thoughts: I have owned Samsung and Vizio HDTVs, This set blows them BOTH out of the water. Double boxed and VERY WELL PACKAGED by Newegg. Newegg is such a top notch outfit in my opinion.

Pros: What an AMAZING tv. The best picture I have ever seen. HD looks terrific. Sound is pretty good. Big difference with the 120Hz. This is my first LG product and I will always go with LG from now on. Newegg rocks the house with everything about this tv, especially price.

Pros: Wow this tv is amazing. A tv this nice for under $1000 is a bargin. With the free shipping its a no brainer.

Cons: Tv is wobbly even on the stand with the anchor screw in place.

Cons: UPS SMASHED BOX TO HELL it was double boxed and still all of the foam around the tv was broken into bits, the tv survived without a scratch, and works very well. This is the last tv I will buy and have shipped.

Pros: 2.7ms response time on a 42 in screen with 120hz motionflow technology and full 1080p screen resolution and a 70,000:1 Dynamic contrast ratio, all for $650.00 - $900.00 depending on where you bought it and if i t was on sale or not, however reguardless of how much you pay for it at under $900.00 this is pretty much a winning scenario. Trying to find anything with these specs and 42in and up your gonna be looking at closer to about $1,300.00 from a major manufactuer. Pretty easy to determine if you should or should not get this HDTV.

Cons: No ethernet ports, limited HDMI ports. These arent really cons since ethernet is easily worked around with a network blu-ray player or your nex gen gaming console such as the PS3 or the xbox 360. Most people wont use more then one or two HDMI ports anyways so thats not much of a concern either.

Other Thoughts: Amazing buy, if your in the market then this is the one if your on a budget and cant justify spending $2,000.00 on the latest LED-LCD HDTV's or you just dont want to pay over a grand for a Television, and even if you do have the money to blow, i would recommend looking at this product as it could save you money for the same (if not better) quality.

Pros: I had previously owned a Samsung LN40B530 and got the short end of the stick in their "panel lottery" having recieved the lowest grade panel they put in that set. Motion blur like crazy, flashlighting in all the corners, pulsating backlight during motion, etc. I replaced it with the 42LH40 and it is light years better than the samsung. 120 hz is amazingly clean & blur free, even on low setting. I have seen no artifacts yet, and only very minor judder on the ultra fast movement. No backlight bleed or flashlighting. Blacks are black and whites are white. Pay no attention to the televisioninfo review stating the black levels are poor, they are as good or better than samsung. PQ is ultra sharp, even with sharpness toned down. The 10 bit S-IPS panel is amazing, with its 2.7ms response time and perfect color reproduction. My set does not have lip sync issues like older panels, manufactured 1/2010. Anything mfg. after 10/09 should be issue free, if not, new firmware is easily accessible.

Cons: Only one audio output, optical digital. You'll have to get an optical to analog switcher/converter to make use of any analog speakers/reciever you were using on your old set. No headphone out, but thats not a big con for me. Just thought i'd mention it.

Other Thoughts: BUY IT & DON'T LOOK BACK. Best specs for the price. No panel lottery, so you can be sure that you are getting the same set as everyone else. Look around at your local sports bars, most of them will have LG's on the walls, for good reason, they rock!

Pros: TV looks amazingly beautiful, Im soooo glad i finally made the jump to a large HD instead of playing 360 and ps3 on my computer monitor, the menu functions allow you to totally customize it to how you want, the stand is sturdy with no wobble and it rotates a decent amount, i really like the 120hz but some people do not (my gf for example) it seems that 120hz makes the picture have almost a 3D look to it (to me) which apparently hurts some peoples eyes, however if you dont like 120hz this TV still looks just as good on 60hz. I would recommend this TV to anyone.

Cons: HA! i have no cons with the TV infact UPS proved to me that this TV can be dropped and still work perfectly. When i got the tv on the 16th i opened it to find crushed styrofoam on the right side top and when i hooked the tv up there was horrible backlight bleed on the right side so i took the back and bezel off to find that the LCD metal frame was bent outward from the force of the drop and was putting excess pressure on the LCD but after a little bending and eyeballing i got the frame back to normal and there is zero backlight bleed now. THANKS UPS!! (guess its pretty hard to move a box without throwing it at the wall/ground/ceiling)

Other Thoughts: Get this TV you'll love it especially if you get it on sale+promo code. For the price this LCD beats mostly everything on the market only other good competitor would be the 46" Toshiba but they have a way slow responce time compaired to this LG, and if you wanna see this TV in action Best Buy prolly has it on their wall just keep in mind that the quality of their signal to the tv is no where near what youll get at home.

Pros: havent had any prblems yet. good picture and good sound.
