LG 47" 1080p LCD HDTV 47LH30

Pros: TV has good picture, remote is functional, menus are easily navigated. Got it at a great price.

Pros: *Great HD Picture.
*Great style and finish
*Good value if you get it on sale (I did for less than 800).

Cons: *Picture takes a lot of tinkering to get it to look "right"
*Black levels are low, but I knew that going in
*No "smart sound" sound leveling. I've messed around a lot of the TV's Clear voice picture and it doesn't seem to make a huge difference...I'm always messing with it up and down in movies.
* DISCONTINUED MODEL. Look around.. LG website and another major online retailer both state this model is done and the specs for its replacement are a lot better (i.e. 100k/1 contrast)

Other Thoughts: I believe the reviews about the "panel lottery" on this TV to be true. I ended up with the Chei Mei panel and while the color is good, it doesn't knock my socks off. Do your homework before buying this model. At full price I'm positive you can find a TV with better specs.

Pros: I use this T.V. to connect my laptop through HDMI to watch downloaded movies. and its easy and simple. i also have connected a home theater system, cable, and a PS3. The tv menus have cool graphics. The Tv came in the Mail 2 days after i ordered it in Excellent condition.

Cons: Only Con was the shipping. Mailman left tv outside my house in the rain.. luckly tv had plastic rap on it.

Pros: Great HDTV with alot of options and more than enough ports for extra components. Great sound and picture for the price. Not a scratch on delivery, very well packed and on time.

Pros: I got this on a Newegg special for a great price. It has more features than similar models by different brands. The quality is excellent. LG is a great product.

Cons: The remote doesn't have a lot of extras and appears a little cheaper than the TV. But it works fine.

Other Thoughts: If you can get this on sale from Newegg you will not find a better TV for the price.

Pros: Good picture quality

Cons: Poor OTA tuner sensitivity, pulls in far fewer OTA channels than the set it replaced -- same antenna, same wiring, same position.

Pros: Very nice TV for the price (got it on sale). Easy to setup. Picture quality is great with HD (Blu ray and cable). Has enough inputs for my modest setup (Cable box, Media PC) and for future expansions (PS4, Xbox 720, Wii HD?). Sound quality is good and loud enough for built in speakers. Didn't mess around with the simulated surround sound.

Cons: Not 120Hz and not LED but for the price that doesn't really matter.

Other Thoughts: I was reading "experts" reviews about this TV and they said it wasn't as good when compared with Samsung's or Sony's. But who really cares? Who has a Samsung or Sony TV to compare viewing angles and contrast ratios with this TV side by side? You can maybe see the difference at the store. But in my living room, this TV looks great and at half the price of Samsung's and Sony's, it looks even better.

Pros: This is my first LCD, so I understood the picture wouldn't be quite as good as my old CRT, but with 1080p and the picture wizard, the picture looks fantastic on the TV. I noticed a little ghosting on one movie, but that was before I did the picture wizard. PC through the TV looks great too, no problems getting 1080p out of it.

Cons: It wasn't free.

Pros: I bought this LG to replace a 32" LCD in my family room. My 5 yr old daughter says it looks like she is in a movie theater now. Going from 32" to 47" is awesome. It has a great picture, especially in HD. The sound is pretty good as well. I'm going to get home theater system with surround sound, but for now it sounds pretty good. Easy to hook up and light weight. I was able to put it on the wall by myself.

Cons: It is only 60hz. I was tempted to buy at least 120hz but figured I couldn't go wrong with the price. Because it is a pretty big screen, non HD channels look very grainy. I watch mostly HD but some of my kids shows aren't on HD. I wish there was a plug-n-play USB on the side. It has a USB (Service only) port on the back, but I'd like to be able to plug a USB flash drive in the side and be able to see pics or home movies. I know other TV's have this option, but I guess you get what you pay for.

Other Thoughts: Overall this is a great TV for the price, assuming you get it on sale (I got it for $779). I am signed up for Newegg deals through email, and a couple days after I bought this I got an email with a code for an extra $80 off this tv. Was bummed, but Newegg was nice enough to meet me 1/2 way and give me $40 credit. Since I got free shipping, it worked out. I would recommend this TV to anyone loooking for a mid range TV at a great price.

Pros: Well I can't describe how happy I'm with this tv.
I got it as my birthday present

Cons: nothing wrong with it.

Other Thoughts: I got a good deal, and customer service has work hard to make sure I'm a happy customer.
