5 out of 5 eggsGreat HDTV for the value

Pros: *Great value for $660 at Newegg's one-day special in 12/2010.
*Easy to setup....don't have to fool around with the manual setup if you don't want to.
*Great HD pictures and colors....no problem with TrueMotion which I don't even notice it.
*Great sound for a LCD TV....as long as you are not mistaken it to be a full-featured home theater.
*Nice cabinet details.
*Great digital tuner which can pickup more OTA HD channels than my other sets.
*Swivel base if you need it.
*No lip-sinc issue for my set.

Cons: *Auto energy saver setting can be a little too dark for me for most room light conditions.
*Only one audio-out (fiber optical)...no RCA or other types of audio-out for older amplifier home systems.

Other Thoughts: It is a great value for a basic HDTV....it doesn't have all the fancy features which most homes probably don't even need any way. If you can find a good price....grab it, because it is no longer in production.

5 out of 5 eggsI like it!

Pros: 1920x1080 1080p 2.7ms response time= good for gaming
70,000:1 contrast is nice
good color scheme..
Easy setup
Price.
Good sound for an "LCD"
Simplink plays nice with other name brands
Durable build Solid steel inner Chasis

***Looks***
Really nice look to this TV...

Cons: Packaging Needs improvement...
Outer Box showed no signs of Damage...
Inner Box showed no signs of Damage...
Foam in Box was crushed.... all of it..
Batteries were out of bag freely floating inside of Box..
The TV was cushioned by chunks of broken foam inside of plastic/foam bag...

Other Thoughts: I love this TV it's a nice step up for me This is my 3rd LCD TV

It's definitely a Durable TV....it obviously got tossed around a lot during shipping and made it in Perfect working Condition

I couldn't be happier with my purchase Which I also got the 4year warranty for $99

5 out of 5 eggsBeautiful TV

Pros: Had this TV for six months now and am 100% satisfied. Beautiful colors, easy menu management, plenty of connections. The 120Hz makes all the difference in the world. Blu-ray is absolutely jaw dropping.

Cons: Plastic stand is a little cheap and not the sturdiest I've seen. Wouldn't take much for a run-amok child to knock it over. Would recommend wall-mounting if you can.

Other Thoughts: My only complaint is that after watching it for the last 6 months, I wish I would have bought the 52" version. I've had many guests over including IT professionals who are extremely picky about their picture display and everyone has been very impressed with this unit.

5 out of 5 eggsGlad I Bought It (NewEgg)

Pros: Very good picture for me, and the viewing angle is sweet compared to other sets this size. I also really like the "Clear Voice" option it has to enhance voices louder on movies with low tones, and on events that have high background noise...You can then lower the volume and hear it while other people are trying to sleep!

Cons: The hesitation from one channel station to the next is a bit slow. But other than that...what can you say, the T.V's awsome!

Other Thoughts: Thanks NewEgg.com/ I dig your prices!!!

5 out of 5 eggsGreat TV

Pros: Great HD picture, better than I expected. Plenty of HDMI and other inputs. Heard and read of issues with voice not matching the picture but bought it anyway and have seen nothing of it. Very satisfied so far.

Cons: Probably a DirecTV issue, not a set issue, but could not get the DirecTV remote programmed to turn the TV off/on. All other functions work...

5 out of 5 eggsAll Systems Go !! Excellent LCD Set

Pros: Gorgeous screen, very impressive with no blurrs. Saw Iron Man on Blue Ray and it looked spectacular. Very sleek looking design, photos do not do it justice. Easy set up out of the box and lots of features. Excellent value for the money. Sound is much better than I expected. PS3 Games look amazing. Has 4 HDMI connections.

Cons: Blacks could be a little blacker but I haven't really messed with the settings too much.
While its not a con, I still haven't decided how I feel about the remote. It's simple, plain but gets the job done. Nothing too snazzy

Other Thoughts: All things considered I am extremely happy with this LCD. It looks incredible and has a nice, glossy finish. Screen has low glare. It just plain ol' looks and performs like a much more expensive set. Sound was +
Newegg got it here in 2 days, you rock guys!! Thanks.

5 out of 5 eggsgreat TV especially for the price

Pros: What's not to like? The picture is awesome, plenty of HD connections. A slew of color management features & easy to use menus. We have had this TV for 3 weeks now and we love it.
HDMI out of the laptop and Netflix movies are crystal clear..I've read complaints about No S video on the TV, who needs it???

Cons: Should have waited for Newegg it's $50 less than what I paid for it at the big chain store on sale.

4 out of 5 eggsGreat TV - Mediocre Support

Pros: I got this TV on a fire sale at a local electronics big box. Given the cost, I think this is a pretty exceptional set.

Picture is very good with over the air signals.

Netflix streaming is VERY cool once you get it working.

Cons: My only issues was getting the Netflix connectivity to work. After plugging in the LAN cable, I was able to get all the other Netcast features working but the Netflix client would fail when it tried to connect to Netflix. After spending 2 hours in tech support "this is not our issue" getting bounced back and forth from Netflix to LG and back, I found some posts about the LG Blue Ray player with Netcast and saw that people with a DLink DIR-655 router were experiencing problems that were resolved by a firmware upgrade. I did the firmware upgrade on the router and still had no luck. I I had an old cheapo airlink 101 router lying around so I plugged that in instead of the Dlink and voila. The Netflix stream is really slick. Imma have to see if DLink can help me resolve the issue with the set. If they can not, the router is going back to the store, Thankfully I bought it less than 30 days ago.

Other Thoughts: I work in IT and it was unconscionable that neither LG or Netflix had anything in their knowledge base regarding the compatibility issues with a router as popular as the DIR-655.
