5 out of 5 eggsLovely

Pros: The picture is beautiful. At first I thought everything looked like a news broadcast. Batman Dark Knight looked so real, a little too real. I got used to it. Got it from an electronics store for only 1149 so yeah!! People come over and think it's an LED when i'm playing Bluray files.

Cons: Nada

Other Thoughts: I love it. I was going to get a 47" but they were sold out. I was itching to get a TV like an addict while I was in the store and would not take no for an answer. I bought this one instead because it was available. I thought it was going to look HUGE and overpowering. I was actually concerned. They delivered the TV and it looked great. Big enough but not too big. I'm glad I got this now.

5 out of 5 eggsAmazing deal!

Pros: Great TV! Used a Promo code and got it for 1299! Use Promo Code EMCYPNS25. TV has great picture and several ports.

Cons: No Usb ports or Ethernet port.

4 out of 5 eggsGreat line of LCDs

Pros: This line of TVs is awesome! Great picture... you definitely won't be disappointed.

Cons: I actually have the 47" version of the same model. Got it for $900. I don't see how how the 55" version is worth an extra $600

Other Thoughts: If you've never watched a 120hz HDTV before, it will take you some time to get used to it. At first, everything looks like a soap opera. You'll understand when you first see it. You get used to it after awhile tho.

5 out of 5 eggsAmazing

Pros: I did a lot of research before buying my 55" and looked into several other brands and I have to say, this unit meets and even exceeds the quality I have seen in more expensive units. The built in picture calibration was fast easy, and while an actual calibration dvd/blu-ray may have given a little better results, it more than suited our needs. Looks great with cable, upscaled DVDs, Blu-rays, and Xbox. My 4-month old son approves as well. He loves watching his Baby Einstein movies on this tv.

Cons: None

Other Thoughts: The only use we found for the Tru-Motion was for sports and other live events. Can't wait for football season to roll around again. Movies and TV shows take on a "soap opera" look to them when using it. It makes for a good chuckle though. I can't review the speakers/sound because we haven't used them. I never turned it up, just plugged up my surround sound immediately. No lip-sync issues, sturdy, and a great buy. Completely satisfied.

5 out of 5 eggsbuy it before it sells out.

Pros: LOVE IT. I looked at others and decided on this one over other high ends including sony. Large wonderful screeen. Looks great even with cable.
Easy set up. Had it up and watching within 10 min from delivery. Very intuitive set up.

Cons: a Little flimsy on the base. Im very careful the children dont pull it cause it would surely fall.

Other Thoughts: Dont hessitate to buy this one if you are looking for nice price and great size.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat TV

Pros: Fabulous picture. Comes in an enormous box that is about 18” wide. It won’t accidentally tip over on you. Very easy to take out of the box and wall mount. Take off the bands and lift off the box top.

Cons: Wish it had coax audio out instead of only optical out. Oh well, not a big deal but now I will have to buy an extra long optical cable to run form the TV to the receiver on the other side of the room. I use this with a HTPC so I rarely watch live TV anyway. I can feed the recorded content via HDMI to the reciever and get great sound and picture that way.

Other Thoughts: I got it for $1479 (which is a steal at that price) but Newegg lowered the price $100 the day after it showed up on my door. Dang.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat TV

Pros: Great LCD, the picture quality of the set is amazing, I've yet to see another LCD that I can easily say, "Oh that's better than my LG" Worth the worderful price that it is selling for now. If you like to play PS3 or Xbox 360, oh man what can I say, large and in charge! If you miss something on the screen it's because your sitting too close!

Cons: Have noticed lip sync a few times, but after reading reviews online it is not the TV it is my Comcast DVR box, which believe me has given me a lot of issue so I was not suprised by this.

Other Thoughts: Get one, you will not be disappointed! I agree with one of the previous reviewers, you could live in the box it comes in.

5 out of 5 eggsTerrific Television

Pros: I have been enjoying this unit for a couple of months now. It has outstanding quality for the money. There are the occasional pixel issues and sometimes voice sync is off very slightly with standard Hi Def; but nothing like connecting a blu ray to this TV and letting it amaze you with its picture. I love the larger picture size and fits nicely into my small room, providing an awesome effect.

Cons: The unit is heavy, but think back to the 36" CRT's and it is still easier to move. Wall mounting could be more difficult though.

Other Thoughts: I really think this LCD television is seriously worthy of comparing with other higher end units.

5 out of 5 eggsVery Descent LCD

Pros: Works Great out of the Box. Sony dvd upscaling player works really well. regular dvds in upscaled mode are very crisp, fresh, and almost resembles Blue Ray Quality. The Specs on this model really do back up what you see when viewing the screen.
The screen size is very generous, it looked slightly smaller in the store, but once in the living room, it was big.

Cons: No HDMI Cord included. There are few moments in action movies where some pixels can be seen, but even right now the most expensive LCD still suffers from those issues.

Other Thoughts: Sony's 52Z5100 model which is a 10 bit panel was no longer on sale, So I ended up buying this LG model over Sony's 52V5100 which was my 3rd choice. For the price I was getting mostly the same specs, but gained a Bigger LCD & a better Contrast Ratio.
I heard of people saying there were Lip Sync issues after they purchased the 55LH40, but my LG wasnt experiencing those issues when it arrived. I really wasnt worried, cause I heard alot good things about them and many new upscale sports bars have LGs wall to wall in their establishments here in the city.

Great TV, Why not check it out.

5 out of 5 eggsAWESOME TV

Pros: I ordered this TV on Saturday, got an email saying I was going to receive it the following Monday. Ended up getting it yesterday! Was SO happy. Great fast shipping! Love Newegg! Luckily I bought it when it was 200 bucks cheaper too ;) Picture is crisp and clear, gaming looks absolutely beautiful, picture wizard is intuitive and neat. Just all around amazing TV. If you're looking for a big tv, look no further!

Cons: Like the other reviewer said, it is heavy but what do you expect, its a big tv.
Other than that, nothing, just love it!

Other Thoughts: You could live in the box it comes in
