5 out of 5 eggsGreat Deal

Pros: An outstanding HDTV for the price when on sale. Very accurate colors, but for most more importantly the color is very pleasing to look at. You will find yourself saying over and over, dam that looks good.
Sharper picture than the others in its price range likely due to having little to no glare reduction coating on the screen. Can go brighter than most plasmas but looks best at lower brightness levels. Sturdy base, set has a quality look to it. Good sound reproduction compared to the average set today.

Cons: Very reflective screen, but base swivels to make adjustment for best viewing easy.
I noticed color shift for at least 300 hours and some image retention during this period, both are gone now. I would not bother with any real calibration till this time period is over.
Black levels are not quite down to the same level as the similar priced Panasonic but in real world viewing this set produces an as pleasing picture.

Other Thoughts: I did a lot of reading to find the best set for my limited budget. For the same size in LCD you would get a bottom of the barrel set for the sale price I got this set for. This HDTV is in no way one of them, great pricing, solid construction, outstanding picture.
One thing I noticed in many reviews was that they did not let the plasmas break in before they did the calibration and testing, and that as I found one reviewer noted was critical for this set to produce a consistent quality picture. Similar to the 42PQ30 if price is close get the 42PQ30, more inputs.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat TV

Pros: *Great picture
*Great sound. I was really impressed how good it sounds and from anywhere in the room
*The menus arent complicated
*Power saving Mode is good. I use medium and after 2 minutes you cant tell and the picture actually looks better with lower contrast

Cons: *The remote is simple, not really a con because who uses their tv remote.

Other Thoughts: Ive had this for a month and i love it. Went through the 200 hour break in on low contrast and now i dont worry at all about burn in. I had a friend fall asleep watching with a logo on the screen, 10 hours later no image retention. People will say lack of connections is a con but with 2 HDMI, one to the PS3 and one to the cable box, how many more are needed. Got this with free shipping and it is the best deal in town.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat Buy

Pros: Bought this for under $500.00 usd AND WHAT A DEAL. The shipping was a little slow - 8 days, shipped from CA to MI during the Christmas high shipping time
- Busy time.

Cons: Wish there were AV access ports on the side of the TV. All connections are on back of TV.

Other Thoughts: Just beware that with all Plasma TV's there is a tendency to get a screen refection from lights and windows during the day - TV placement should consider that fact.

5 out of 5 eggsAwesome Deal!

Pros: I love NewEgg purchased this TV on Black Friday and it was at my home Tuesday afternoon. It took my son about 5 minutes to completely set up the DVR, DVD and Roku box to the TV. The TV came packed very well. The screen is awesome. No bad pixals, vivid screen. For what I paid for this TV I feel like I got a steal!

Cons: none

Other Thoughts: I'll check back in, in months to come to advise if TV has had any issues since.

4 out of 5 eggsGreat Low Cost Plasma

Pros: Great picture for a very low price when found on sale. Same great picture as the 42PQ30. HD looks fantastic. SD looks great.
The great SD picture was the main reason I wanted a LG PQ family plasma.

Cons: No side inputs or USB connection that the more expensive 42PQ30 has. I knew this when I purchased it. The $150 in saving for this model was worth the sacrifice to me but may not be to others.

Other Thoughts: This TV is the cheap version of the 42PQ30. It has the same great image quality as PQ30 but it is missing the side inputs. If the PQ30 is cheaper definitely get it instead. I got this at Lacks for $500.
