Read full details.
Pros: 1) Very slim. 2) Light and easy to handle. 3) Low heat generation.
Cons: 1) Horrible, horrible viewing angle which means the picture is just mediocre, not great. 2) Bluish gray tinge on all blacks if the viewing angle is not within 20° to the left or right of center.
Other Thoughts: Very, very disappointed. I will probably not buy another TV from LG or newegg because of this. I only learned of the "D" vs. "W" panels here, and sure enough, that may explain why our picture is so mediocre.
I was shocked compared to our three year old Samsung, a basic 60 Hz 46" 550 series LCD from around 2007. With the Samsung, viewing angles are wonderful and the picture is good. With this TV, I was expecting superior blacks, but as soon as the viewer is seated more than 20° to the left or right, all blacks take on a bluish gray hazy hue. This is VERY noticeable, it is NOT subtle.
Fortunately, this is our secondary TV, but it's really just a monitor for watching the news and HGTV. I wouldn't want to watch any good movies with this.
I'll probably have to bite the bullet, at some point, and donate this so that I can replace it with another, acceptable TV. An expensive lesson to learn.

Rating: 3/5Pretty
Pros: Beautiful picture, nice and thin, lot's of settings.
Cons: Bad sound, period. Had to use external powered speakers to compensate. When you zoom to adjust for pictures that are letter boxed (and not available in HD) it does not keep the aspect ratio like my last TV. And the manual adjustment does not stay in memory, in other words, you must adjust every time. I hate stretched images.
Other Thoughts: The sheer depth and lighting that this unit provides is why I kept the TV aside from it's problems.

Rating: 5/5Amazing Race TV!
Pros: Just bought this TV for college, amazing price and even lost the panel lottery, there's no difference in picture quality. Love everything about it
Cons: TRUE VISION if your watching TV, most likely will have to be turned off because it makes the picture blurry. (amazing however for racing) in short I like true vision, just not most of the time
Other Thoughts: Amazing LED picture Sports = amazing Racing= unreal

Rating: 5/5Awesome TV, Solid Price
Pros: LED picture quality, LCD price
LED power savings
Multitude of inputs
Interfaces with other LG products (namely, my HT system) extremely well. One remote controls everything right out of the box.
Cons: Default color settings are pretty atrocious.
Don't leave the TV in it's "tru-motion" blah blah whatever ultra fast 120Hz mode. It makes normal videos/tv shows look super cheesy, very "home video-ish". I bumped mine down to 24 in the settings and I haven't had a problem since.
Other Thoughts: The picture and viewing angle are absolutely fabulous on my model. I was deciding between this and a Samsung LED, and I honestly would choose this TV (properly configured) over the Samsung now. I initially bought this because of the sale ($480), but after seeing the color quality after some proper configuration I'm convinced I got the better TV overall to boot.

Rating: 4/5Its no CRT
Pros: Thin, lightweight, good 2nd tv. I have received the VA panel. Since I do not have and IPS panel to compare it to, I cannot see where the improvement would be for the IPS over the VA.
Cons: LCD even with 120 Hz still does not come close to the viewing clarity of a CRT HDTV. The picture tends to look fake compared to a CRT HDTV. True contrast is probably the issue. Shows with less contrast tend to look more natural.
It is annoying that using the headphone jack cuts out the sound to the speakers. It would be better if there was some way of having this switched through the remote.
Just got an LG home theater and I am having problems getting sound pass from the "audio in" to pass through the optical out to the home theater system. "Audio in" is being used with the RGB Video from a computer - sound passes very well to the TV speaker but not into the Optical out. Still investigating this problem.
Other Thoughts: I hear that Samsung has the best image quality but the price for a Samsung is higher than I could justify for a tv that will not be the main tv in the house.

Rating: 4/5Good TV esp for the price
Pros: Easy picture adjustments. Good picture. Plenty of inputs.
Cons: On a completely black screen, there is some white clouding in two places near top of screen. Hardly visible when there are images playing though. Wish it had A/V output other than digital audio out.
Other Thoughts: A good deal at $550 and free shipping. I won the lottery and got the IPS panel the first time. However, as mentioned above I'm still experiencing the clouding issue other reviewers described for the non-IPS.

Rating: 4/5Won the Lottery
Pros: I won the IPS "Lottery." This is now the best picture in my LED house. Picture is beautiful. Great TV for the price. Hard pressed to say anything negative.
Cons: Cant figure out how to turn off some features. Sometimes the processing makes movies look like they are running just a little fast.

Rating: 4/5Lost the lottery but I don't care!
Pros: 1080p - 120hz Price LED Incredible picture
Cons: Speaker sound is weak Only Toslink out for Audio out. No Input button on remote or tv for fast switching between devices. Really??? Who wants to navigate a pulldown just to switch sources?
Other Thoughts: I got a VA panel, but I think its still a fantastic picture for my Bedroom. No regrets at all! I won't be viewing at any other angles other than direct, so the IPS issue shouldn't affect me. Speakers are tinny, but I'm most likely going to get a sound bar since its in my bedroom. Newegg's prices and fast shipping rock as usual!
