5 out of 5 eggs

Pros: -HDTV looks incredible
-plenty of ports for everything!
-Using my PC to display pira..movies I bought look insane
-Better picture then my x22inch monitor. CS:S looked new!
-Updating the set allowed for a much smoother PS3 experience

Cons: -I wish they could make a mode that allowed you to play super nintendo better..but this was not the fault of LG.

Other Thoughts: Two months after warranty I got perfectly spaced vertical R/G/B lines and after a hard reset (unplug from wall for 45 seconds) the problem was resolved. THANK YOU LG.

5 out of 5 eggsBEST TV IN THE MARKET!!!!

Pros: The TV looks nice and sleek!! The picture quality is superb and it is NOTHING like i have ever seen before. Has a lot of HDMI ports, Netflix...what DOESN'T this TV have? I use it as a monitor for my PC and to play PS3 on their...i did not sense any LAG like others have been complaining about.

Cons: DOESN'T DO 120Hz...i tried everything and could not get it to a refresh rate of 120hz...that's the only reason i bought this TV. It still looks nice at 60hz, but the higher refresh rate would have been better....i feel i have been lied too...i have lost my innocence :P...

Other Thoughts: overall it is a great TV. i got it for black Friday and got a GREAT DEAL. i would not pay more than $600 for this TV since you will NOT get the full 120hz, but you WILL get the 1080P.

4 out of 5 eggsGreat display, but not 120hz

Pros: This is a great unit - as most people have said, it's a very crisp, detailed picture. There are a ton of customizations and tweaks for more experienced users, and a lot of functionality for enthusiasts.

Cons: The advertised 120hz is a marketing gimmick which is not an actual reflection on the units abilities. You can download the technical specifications from the LG website and see that for all input connections, 60hz is the fastest supported refresh rate. The TV then uses "trumotion" (if you leave it enabled) to fill in the frames to emulate a 120hz display. I wasted hours attempting to get my computer to recognize the display as 120hz both via htmi and vga. I also tried connecting my PS3 to see if it would show the 120hz, but when you press the 'info' button on the remote, it always shows the connection at 60hz.

One additional caveat: my unit shipped with software version 05.00.02 (?). I was able to update twice via ethernet to 06.00.03 (?) and then again to 08.00.11. Unfortunately, I was unable to find any downloads on the LG website for these updates, so for others purchasing the unit, be warned you may not be able to update w/o an internet connection.

Other Thoughts: Based on picture quality, feature set, and price point, I would recommend this TV to anyone. However, I would have appreciated more honest advertising as the listing of 120hz was a motivating factor in my initial purchase.

1 out of 5 eggsLG review

Pros: Great tv for movie watching and overall use.

Cons: Horrible for gaming. Lag even on ps3 games. Don't get me started with pc gaming. I have other units in LED LCD class tv's that perform 100 times better than this tv.

Newegg is charging me $121.00 dollars for restocking fee or I can buy something equal or more money
only than will they waive the restocking fee.

Decided the I will give this tv to my girlfriend.

Other Thoughts: Overall I am not happy with the tv's performance when it comes to gaming app's because of 1 to 3 second delays in fast moving scenes and newegg wants to completely rip me off on restocking fees so I am forced to keep this tv.

I will not be a return costumer to newegg.

5 out of 5 eggsGood TV

Pros: The quality on this TV is truly amazing, especially when using true motion. Although I would recommend setting it to "User" and adjusting it to the lowest setting to avoid the Soap Opera look. A few users have said that the netflix plugin is flawed in that you can't add or remove movies to your que. You need to update your software, the newest version of the NetCastcenter now has the option to search add remove movies from netflix. The dynamic light setting is pretty cool when set to the lowest setting, especially if your are in a room with lots of windows. This can be used as a good desktop monitor, TV, or Showroom monitor. If you are planning on using this in a showroom to showoff video or pictures, the fact that it can connect to your online Youtube/picasa account removes the need to have a computer hooked up to it. Very handy. If your using this as a TV you probably want it in a room where you are no more than 10 feet away.

Cons: As the previous poster said there is a slight bit of input lag that you notice in FPS games on most settings, however if you set it to game mode with the latest software update, that will disable true motion (which causes most of the input lag) and it is barely noticeable.
The firmware updates can be a bit hit or miss. The first update I did allowed for many more features in netflix and picture settings. The second update basically broke netflix, I was not able to watch many videos, the load time took forever, the quality seemed less. However the most recent update seems to have put it back on track. I dont think I will be updating it again for quite some time as it is now functioning well and im afraid that a new update might break it again.
The Default settings are ok but not fantastic, I recommend going through the wizard and creating an Expert1 profile that is more to your liking.
It is not as thin as many LED-LCD's but that could be because of all of the built in features.

Other Thoughts: Most of the problems discussed in the other reviews are fixed by updating the TV. It would be nice if the TV included a wireless connection instead of just Ethernet, however if you are going to be streaming HD then you probably want Ethernet anyway. I haven noticed some problems when playing h.264 format videos. Some of them appear to have blocks running through them if you are playing it from a hard drive or flash disk, the issue does not happen when playing in windows7 or Ubuntu, only when directly from an external media player.
Other wise I can't think of anything else that is wrong with the TV, it has plenty of inputs and outputs, plenty of USB connections, lots of built in features, pretty universal, good as a gaming monitor, photo designer, showroom display, tv, it's a very good TV. when I bought it, it was closer to 500 on sale. At that price it was an amazing deal. I wouldn't recommend paying more than 700.
