5 out of 5 eggsIncredible value!

Pros: Picked this up a few months ago with an awesome discount (down to $300), and haven't been disappointed. Looks beautiful connected to PC (change HDMI input to PC, it helps a ton), Blueray, Wii, Xbox 360. I have had no dead pixels, and no technical issues period. Plenty of rear connections.
Sound is decent, relatively powerful for a T.V of this size, and plenty of sound controls (+ optical out, which goes to my receiver).

Cons: Picks up dust incredibly easily, power cable comes loose somewhat easy, but I am nitpicking here. Also, a strange brown sticker runs across the bottom and is ridiculously ugly if you look for it. But it is difficult to notice unless looking for it.

Other Thoughts: Very pleased, would recommend to anyone!

5 out of 5 eggsGreat, Clear TV

Pros: Very clear, high quality, excellent for gaming, and it works totally great and has many options for customizing. Also has plenty of ports for hooking up all your devices.

Cons: none

Other Thoughts: Does not seem to have internet capability so if that is a must then I wouldn't purchase this TV.

4 out of 5 eggsStunning Picture-Vibrant Colors

Pros: This is my first Hi-Def so I was blown away by the beautiful picture and even more so by the breath taking colors. Assembly took 10 minutes. I was worried about receiving a TV by UPS but the TV was so well packaged that it arrived without a scratch. I was concerned about the dark picture my first day but after adjusting the Energy Saving feature to low or off it was fine. I was surprised how good my DVDs looked on this TV. There was absolutely no problem with the TV's sound and I love the headphone input on the side.

Cons: My main problem is that the remote will not allow me to access the TV function and I have to use the HDMI input mode to watch the TV-I don't know if this is because I used the HDMI connection but whatever it is it causes me to lose some of the functionality of the LG remote.

Other Thoughts: After having a 27" inch CRT TV I was worried that maybe a 32" would be too small but instead it was the perfect size for my needs-like I said I was surprised by how good regular DVDs looked so I can imagine how a Blue-Ray played will perform. If not for the problem with the remote I would have given this TV a 5

3 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Purchased it on sale, so it was a good price at the time. Definitely wouldn't purchase it for the price listed now, there's plenty of competitors with much cheaper sets. That said, LG has incredible customer service.

1. Received the TV, powered on but wouldn't display a picture. Chatted with LG support, they sent a technician since this set was still under warranty. Replaced all the components except the LCD panel, still didn't work. Technician didn't have a spare panel on him at the time so he came back the next day, replaced it, and it's been working great since! Didn't charge me a dime!

Cons: Wasn't able to use it out of the box, but fortunately had it resolved without paying a single cent.

One thing I really don't like is the fact that the TV has no buttons. You lose the remote, you're going to have to purchase another one just to operate the TV. The TV isn't all that thin, so I don't know why the chose to forego buttons for power, volume, channel, etc.

2 out of 5 eggsmissing parts

Pros: Decent picture. Easy to set up.

Cons: No lan connection but knew that going in. Was missing the stand body which connects the set to the stand. Newegg could only offer an advanced replacement which would mean waiting for an UPS delivery AGAIN. Other than that all they could offer me was the number for LG. LG's customer service seemed rather blase about the whole thing. Yes its a little thing but now my entertainment area has to remain torn apart awaiting the missing part. It would seem LG/Newegg would offer something for the hassle..credit or something..not even offered.

Other Thoughts: I realize the missing parts aren't Newegg's fault but I would think Newegg could offer a credit or something.

3 out of 5 eggsTerrible computer monitor

Pros: great for movies, video's, and people who don't watch TV very often

Cons: it has a really ugly "faux wood" sticker on the bottom (that same one everyone else complains about), makes a terrible giant computer monitor especially for spreadsheets, but is OK for games and other activities where you don't need super crisp resolution.

Other Thoughts: faux wood BAD

1 out of 5 eggslots of issues with this set

Pros: Good picture quality.

Cons: Just about everything except picture quality is a con. This set has so many negatives that I have to drop my rating from 3 eggs to 1 egg. In my earlier review of 10/3/2011 I gave it 3 eggs, citing audio issues. Since then I’ve had the chance to assess this TV more fully. See “Other Thoughts” below.

Other Thoughts: • This set is very slow to process signals from the remote.
• Remote is too directional, making it cumbersome to use (a separate issue from the processing speed).
• The Guide feature on this set is much less sophisticated than the Guide feature on my $40 DTV converter boxes.
• This set loses the signal when my other sets do not—all sets are tuned simultaneously to the same channel. Signal is received from master antenna, not cable.
• Concerning the audio issues mentioned in my review of 10/3/2011, I contacted LG tech support to see if I can connect the audio output from this TV to an external amplifier. LG’s “tech support” rep did not have a clue what I was talking about. He was not familiar with the jacks on the back of the set, nor did he have a set he could look at.

LG supposedly has a good reputation, but I do not think I’ll buy another set of this brand.

5 out of 5 eggsExceptional for the money

Pros: Great picture and decent black levels for a CFL. Sound is great too, with surprisingly deep bass for such a small TV. Lots of inputs, including a good selection of side inputs. Lots of picture and sound options too.

Cons: Not a "Smart TV", but given the price tag, that's fine. I've had a few issues hooking it up to our Windows laptop via VGA - despite setting the output to the right res, it just won't display right on the TV. Could be our laptop/video card, could be the TV, don't know since I've only tried the one. HDMI is flawless though. No physical buttons on the TV bezel - touch buttons seem to be the fashion these days, and it drives me nuts. Really, though, I'm nitpicking here.

Other Thoughts: Wanted a cheap TV for the bedroom and this one hit it out of the park. Great picture and sound, and even though it's more expensive now than it was when I bought it Cyber Monday, it's still a good deal. I really like that the speakers are on the bottom - we decided to mount the TV on the wall about 5' high, and the sound does a great job filling a 16'x10' room. I also bought a Roku at the same time and just velcro'd it to the back of the TV - instant smart TV, and combined, it was cheaper than most 32" integrated smart TVs. In summation: it's nothing fancy, but what it does, it does really well. Good, basic TV.

5 out of 5 eggsBetter than expected

Pros: Bought this to park in front of the treadmill for PC and XBox 360 use. As others have noted, if you use this for a PC, CHANGE THE INPUT LABEL FOR THAT HDMI PORT TO 'PC'. Several reviews on here (as well as websites like CNET) did not do this...I would have been very disappointed had I not done this. Tip: crank the sharpness level down to the 25-35 range - sound counter-intuitive, but default is way too 'sharp'. Also has a headphone jack! Nice surprise, jacked in a set of Klipsch 2.1's I had, really nice setup.

Cons: The strip at the bottom is ugly, but I stopped noticing it after a day.

Other Thoughts: Love stuff that's better than expected...5 eggs.
