5 out of 5 eggsGreat TV but especially Great Price!

Pros: Very competitive price. Great picture. The menus are much nicer than samsung's of the same year. Can't beat the refresh rate of a plasma and as long as your lighting isn't bright you'll have no complaints. Backlit remote. Youtube and netflix features of the tv work fine once you connect an ethernet cable.

Cons: What could possibly be a con for such a cheap 60 inch plasma tv? Not much. There are plenty of more expensive 60" screens but not a lot that are cheaper than this. The screen is great once you adjust the settings and if you connect it to a computer it will do anything that a smarter tv will do. Supports wireless but only with an LG wireless usb adapter. I tried a linksys/cisco wifi usb reciever but it was a no go. I suspect nothing will work but the LG one. Lame but not such a big deal since ethernet is always the better choice even if it does create the problem of hiding the wire or drilling a hole in your wall. As mentioned in other reviews it does take the tv a while to switch to a new channel but this is only when you use the number pad - channel up/down and recall are faster.

Other Thoughts: Here's a tip. Turn the lame intelligent sensor off! Especially if the tv is in a smaller room. LG's intelligence sensor dims the screen the darker it gets in your room through the use of a light sensor. LG brags about this like they invented but my mom's old 1980's RCA had the same tech except it actually worked. The problem is that in smaller rooms the sensor reacts to the light that the tv itself is emitting. This makes the screen get noticibly and very annoyingly brighter and then dimmer frequently. This would be a huge con if you didn't have the option to shut it off. Furthermore don't be a hippie. Turn the energy saving off as well. The picture will be brighter and just look better overall. This is a plasma for pete's sake you don't need the extra features making the tv look worse. Some will tell you that doing this will make the tv burn itself out quicker so maybe it's a trade off. Do your research.

5 out of 5 eggsWow, stellar picture and 3D

Pros: Clean crisp picture, coming out of the screen 3D, tones of imputes, great sound and easy to use.

Cons: Heavy and on the thick side for a thin TV. Also, be careful of the wall mount you get if you install it on the wall as the one I got installed it so close to the wall some of the wires had to be forced at a 90 degree angle to properly install.

Other Thoughts: What I read said Plasma was the way to go if you want 3D action movies and gaming; this TV did not disappoint. I also own a large LED LCD HD TV and the picture on this is as good if not better. A friend noted he believed it was a better better picture than his LED LCD; in any case you cannot go wrong with LG.

Pros: its newegg

Cons: the shipping is terrible it took 2 weeks to get to me and i had to end up calling the shipping company and all that they told me was "we didnt have your number so we couldnt set up an appointment" absolutely terrible shipping company choice newegg. I love your site and will continue to buy small stuff but will never order freight sized items again if you stay with the same company

Other Thoughts: this rating is not twards the product itself

5 out of 5 eggsawsome TV

Pros: Huge (thats what she said) 4 HDMI inputs not as heavy as older Plasma's. I went with this over the a 55inch LED non 3d. Glad I did. I was concerned that I would not like the glass causing glare. However it hasn't bothered me. Besides I save money by keeping the lights off now.

Cons: Reflective.

Other Thoughts: The internet ready apps are fun for the kids but kinda silly. I didn't buy on Newegg though I normally would of. I got it at Fries for 300 less that here. I still love Newegg and my loyalty knows no bounds.
