3 out of 5 eggsIt's an alright TV.

Pros: Sleek, glossy, clear, super bright.

Cons: Only 2 HDMI ports, burnt out pixels in less than a year. I just noticed them now, so I don't know how long they've been there.

Other Thoughts: I will be following up with NewEgg on this. I know they will treat me right. Just had a mishap with a different order and the fixed it, during the Labor Day holiday weekend.

3 out of 5 eggsGreat TV, Poor Service

Pros: Great video and sound quality for what you'd expect to get from this class of television.

Cons: TV stopped powering on after about 5-6 weeks. After reading many reviews regarding the same problem, and then speaking with a repair technician with several of the LV4400 series sitting in his dock at the moment, I learned the motherboard has a defect. We're currently waiting for a new motherboard to clear customs... been without the TV since mid-January. Due to a serial number mix-up with Newegg, I'm stuck dealing with the manufacturer.

4 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Great picture!!

Cons: Sound is flat, but we've got surround sound so it's not a big deal for us. If you don't have the TV hooked up to a stereo system of some sort, you may not like the quality.

Other Thoughts: Great TV for the price, very happy with it.

4 out of 5 eggsPerfect for the price

Pros: 1080p, 120hz, 3 HDMI inputs, LED screen = super slim and light design + great picture, easy to setup and use, and comes with its own stand.

Cons: Honestly my biggest complaint is probably where the input button is on the controller. It's placed at the top, away from all the other "action" buttons like channel, volume, favorites, and menu. Very minor issue, though it took me a little to get used to. No problems otherwise. (happy to say no dead pixels)

Other Thoughts: I was looking for a TV for my bedroom and this one has all the features I wanted + a few more. I was mainly concerned with picture and just wanted something that was 40"+, 1080p, and 120hz refresh rate. Most TVs I looked at were around the same price as this one, but either house brands or not LED. Found this TV with the LG name and all the features I wanted for the right price. Being LED was just a bonus.

As far as sounds goes, it's fine for what I bought the TV for. Just about every flatscreen sacrifices sound quality for a slim design. It should go without saying that if you're buying a TV for movies you will need an external sound system. I will probably add one later, but since this is just my bedroom TV I can't complain at all with the quality.

I'm giving this TV a 4/5 as it is not a do-it-all TV. If you want 3D, internet access or like to complain about sound deficiencies that all flatscreens have then buy something different. But for the price I think it is perfect.

4 out of 5 eggsProbably a good TV

Pros: Can't comment on because I never received the TV due to newegg's poor customer service.

Cons: Can't comment on because I never received the TV due to newegg's poor customer service? I gave this TV a 4 egg rating based on the specs of the TV for the price. Read below

Other Thoughts: After extensive research I purchased this TV on cyber Monday because it was the best TV for the price. I waited 7 business days ( used 3 day UPS shipping) and I contacted newegg to find out what the problem was. They said they would send me a new TV, file a claim, and resolve the missing TV issue with UPS. So after waiting another week and no TV, I contacted newegg again only to be informed that they did not end up sending another TV (like they said they were going to do) and they were going to refund my money because the TV is now out of stock. After speaking with the manager and expressing my displeasure, they offed to credit my account $25 for the inconvience that I experienced (not even enough to cover the tax on a new TV, thanks for nothing). So now Christmas is almost here and I don't have a TV to give my family because of newegg's poor customer service. I will never do business with newegg again and I would encourage you to consider the risk of using them for your next purchase.

4 out of 5 eggsBest Find

Pros: Very Lightweight (easy to mount)

Low Power Draw (cheaper electric bill)

Came with stand (free!)

Manufactured Q2 2011 !!!!

Cons: only complaint i have is ONE dead pixel, will be speaking to newegg tomorrow as its within the 30 days.

Other Thoughts: your eyes are important! do not cook them with such high display settings. remember to tone down the settings when in a room that is dark. the tv gets soooooooo bright i would have to be sitting on the sun to use them at 100.

4 out of 5 eggsGreat Picture; Mediocre Otherwise

Pros: Display is sharp and bright.
VESA mountable.

Cons: VGA interface appears incapable of displaying 1080p resolution.
Documentation of hardware/software features is... incomplete, to say the least.

Other Thoughts: Purchased as part of an HTPC project. So, a high-quality panel and VESA support are my primary concerns, which I believe LG has delivered. I'm leaving video processing duties to my graphics adapter, naturally; so, the TV's sparse feature set is of little consequence to me.

I was never able to get 1080p to display properly through the TV's VGA interface, which I thought strange. I tried several video cards and meticulously scoured video settings on both the TV and graphics card, no thanks to LG's "documentation". The TV disables most of the display options when connected via VGA, which may be part of the problem. Nevertheless, HDMI works fine.
The manual and online documentation only list features with virtually no explanation (anyone want to guess what "Just Scan" or "Eye Care" mean practically?).
No dead/stuck pixels or other manufacturing defects yet.
