LG 42" 1080p 120Hz LED-LCD HDTV 42LW5300 Entertainment Bundle

Pros: Gorgeous performance for 3-d bluerays. Picture streaming netflix is crystal clear and even makes old movies like Conan the Destroyer look crisp and new again!

Cons: Can't keep my 5 year olds fingerprints off it.

Other Thoughts: I wasn't sure what to expect from LG. I was kinda thinkin it would be Low Grade drek considering the deal I got. I was honestly FLOORED when I turned it on and ran it through its paces.

Pros: 3D is fun and it doesn't suck on this TV.
Great assortment of connections, I can plug in all my gadgets.
I use this as my Computer Monitor, no more having to sit so close or strain my eyes; I just kick back and the sky is the limit.
The bundled blue ray player can be controlled by the TV remote.
Even non-3D content can be spiced up to partial 3D for a funner experiance.
This was a great price.
This has every setting you could want to make a great picture.
The smooth motion is decent.
For the price this is an awesome deal and I am happy with my purchase.

Cons: There is an occational flicker when using the energy saver.
It does not decode Dobly Digital on he fiber optic out when watching TV or give the option, thus you must have a Dolby Digital Decoder such as in your reciever. This problem does not apply to the blue ray player.
Using professional color matching I found the stock tint setting was off.

Other Thoughts: I wish it came with an upscaler. it just enhances line and smoothes the jaggies.

Pros: Great deal for the price! Sure it is not the top of the line 3D TV, but if you want all of the smart tv features, just pick up a Roku for $90.00. Picture quality is very nice using the 1080p at 60hrz.

Cons: A backlit remote would be nice

Pros: Worked wonderfully for three weeks

Cons: Lines of vertical pixels called it quits after 3 weeks. They must have took a vacation to go watch my two year old Samsung which is still working perfectly.

Other Thoughts: When are the Samsung's on sale?

Pros: Tv looks fantastic! I love how it takes seconds to convert 2d to 3d. At this price for a 3D tv, including the bluray player and glasses is just an awesome extra.

Cons: Like many have said, the packaging was broken on arrival, some holes in the box and foam was cracked. I dont know if this was UPS/Newegg/or LG's fault, but everything still came in perfect condition, nothing broken.

Other Thoughts: I have converted blu rays/standard def dvd/and 2d tv programs but have yet to use a native 3D blu ray yet, I will soon though.

Pros: Great price.Unpacked it & there was no damage or anything else wrong, I was worried based on other reviews. It is extremely easy to use and change the settings.The picture is crystal clear the sound is whats to be expected from a flat panel set.

Cons: None,

Other Thoughts: I did try out the Blue Ray player it works ok. I have it attached to another TV. I have gone ahead and calibrated the Colors from an online review. The 2D looks great,. I have not yet tried the2d->3D up convert yet.

Pros: The TV itself was great, the positive reviews are spot on. However I am issuing low rating due to Neweggs policies.

Cons: Like others stated, there is a defect somehow with the bezel that it breaks during shipment.

Other Thoughts: Upon opening the bezel was dis-attached on the upper right hand corner from the supports holding it in. I called for an RMA and made it a point to be get a replacement. My RMA was changed to refund and the TV originally priced at $680, now the TV is priced at $800. They notified me of this change and credited my account after customer service closed so I could not correct this issue on time. This practice is simply not acceptable.

I would not have chosen to RMA if it was a refund as all other places were selling the TV at $800+ and Newegg would probably follow suite.

Pros: I have not switched on the set yet to find out

Cons: Same issue as several people. The foam was busted when we opened the box and the plastic frame broken in the top left corner with the inner screen crushed. Have returned to Newegg and waiting on a replacement for about 5 days now.

Pros: Good TV if you get one that new egg and ups haven't damaged.

Cons: New Egg has now sent me TWO smashed up TVs.

Other Thoughts: new egg has now sent two smashed up tvs. You can see others on this board are having the same problem. the way UPS handles these you would think new egg would know to NOT ship the product in its orignal box...and would isntead use an outside box....NO! Twice now they have shipped me damaged tvs....the second much worse than the first. I am beginning to think that they are just circulating the same damaged tvs around until someone just says "oh well" and accepts the TV with damage. I believe that both TVs I have recieved were opened before and were damaged before shipping. It is very odd that the price on these TVs has changed at least three times in the past two weeks. Now they are selling "open item" versions of this TV. Don't buy that! You are probably just getting one of the smashed up TVs in circulation.

Pros: Great price from a Great place like NEWEGG Got it on Sale for $680.00 no one else came close to that price, & if they did they wanted tax & shipping charges ( which those of us that purchased it from NEWEGG was NOT charged for those )
The shipping was just one Day, I ordered it on the 27th of DEC. & got it on the 29th which is good as U do not want a TV of this size to be shipped any longer. the UPS guys were great they made it their first delivery & went over the box with us to make sure there was NO damages or problems with the shipping they even asked before we signed for it if we were satified with it?.
Unpacked it & there was no damage or anything else wrong, Set up was very easy We made a Temporary installation just to see if the TV worked U it was fine for now.The reason we did this is we ordered an LG BD 690 Blu- Ray player so we could get Netflix & the other APPS & get on the internet we ordered a BELKIN Pure AV HDTV Essentials kit With Surge protector cables and cleaning ki

Cons: To be very honest we have none! so far this is a great TV!
I now wish I would have purchased two instead of just the one. this TV really just blew us away1 LG really did their job on this 2D to 3D and the 3D itself.I have read that they were considered either the best for this year or the best in general for 3D I forget which one hey look it up!

Other Thoughts: Ok, now as this is our first 3D HDTV, We want to be very honest. we are still exploring it. The Front look of this TV has the shiny black frame with the controls in front right corner & base the back there are more plug ins for HDMI's & USB's,PC,ETC. there are also some on the side of the TV. setup was a breeze the TV is light but U should have a friend to help U place it where it's going & if U hang it also. NOW for the picture as long as Ur cable TV co. is working U WILL have a great picture U will have to tweak it to your liking.The 2D to 3D is great U can almost touch Jay Lenos big Chin!
If you wear glasses the 3D glasses will fit over them and feel ok, I ordered some extra just in case & some clip- on just to make it easy on those who wear glasses. the Sound on this set gets loud but if U want that 3D surround sound U have to get a system. LG really pulled it off with this set if your looking for 1 go for it.You'll be glad you did. We are very happy with it.
