LG 50" Class (49.9" Diag.) 1080p 600Hz Smart 3D Plasma HDTV 50PZ950

Pros: looks stunning, excellent quality picture and a nice presentation in general. Very thin, perfect for mounting on a wall. Very rich image quality with automatic lighting adjustments. Magic wand remote is easy to calibrate and much better than typing with the remote. Excellent smart TV for the price.

Cons: No 3D glasses included. wireless is through an adapter that is included with the TV, the adapter doesn't have as strong of a signal as the ps3 right next to it so I still have to watch Netflix on the ps3 for full quality. Not a huge flaw but I would like to see built in wireless.

Other Thoughts: would absolutely buy again if i could redo the choice.
*side note: the only audio output is optical, not that optical is bad but not something I had just laying around

Pros: This is my first Plasma after switching from LED. Wanted 3D and I after much research plasma was he way to go for me.

Can't beat the price.

Picture is great - 3D was better than I expected. It is a little darker but I knew that going in. I didn't want to give up resolution for brightness even though the active glasses for this TV are far more expensive ($80) than the glasses for passive 3D.

Angles are good. Only issue I see is if you are 8ft tall and enjoy watching from 1 feet away.

Blacks are fine... really don't know what all the debate is about it, but if it weren't for the LG light I wouldn't even know if the think was off or not when it displays an entire black screen.

Nice bonus to see free 3D documentaries on LG's app store.

I could go on but running out of room, overall I am glad I bought this.

Cons: Mostly nit picking here...

Only 1 audio out, optical. I had to buy a converter.

Cables can stick out of the left side a bit without any cable management.

Shipping took 2 weeks by a company I never heard of. Can't complain though, it was free, they called and scheduled a delivery time and actually showed up within 5 minutes of when they said they would; the delivery people were great and were more than happy to carry it to exactly where it needed to be in my house.

Only 2 USB slots could easily use more because you use these to charge the glasses.

I scratched my leg when setting it up.

Other Thoughts: If you get this and are going to get glasses make sure you can get V64 of the glasses. There was an annoying auto-shutoff feature with the earlier version.

Although it is not too clear in the details there was a USB wireless adapter included.

Netflix, Hulu etc etc are all built into the TV, App store is small but a nice thing to have

Pros: For the two days this unit actually worked, the picture was excellent, surpassing my expectations. But, since the unit failed on the second day I owned it, I can not offer any review of the features, apps or internet connectivity of the product.

Cons: Catastrophic failure after two days. The unit turned off by itself, and when I turned it back on the unit crackled and a "burnt electronics" odor accompanied by excessive heat emanated from the back of the unit. After letting the unit sit unplugged for 30 minutes, I plugged it back in and turned it on. Alas, no picture, nothing. I logged a warranty service request today, but it will be three to five business days until an actual service appointment can be scheduled.

Other Thoughts: I'm rating this product "one egg" until resolution of the failure. I'm beginning to think the $150 lesser price on Newegg vs. other sites was too good to be true.

Pros: Phenominal picture. TXH Certified. Very thin. Exceptional brightness and "pop" for a plasma in a bright room. Great online interface. Though honesltly Vizio's is the best I'd seen.

Cons: Active 3D and not included

Other Thoughts: TV gets overlooked because of people with their noses in the air about "inky blacks". Im telling you this thing is fantastic. Not to mention I grabbed for under $900
