1 out of 5 eggsStay clear of LG

Pros: Looks nice when it's off.

Cons: Picture is terrible, it has trouble detecting inputs.

Other Thoughts: I primarily use this as a display monitor for customer presentations. Every other line of pixels seems dimmer than the rest creating horizontal lines across the screen. it is especially apparent with blue. I use it as a Windows display so blue abounds. It is really irritating. It was so bad I called LG out to replace it thinking it must be defective. They replaced parts and it does the same thing. I decided to look at other LG TVs and I've found that ALL the latest LG TVs were doing this. I'm stuck with a horrible TV that I don't want customers to see. Would give zero eggs if I could.

4 out of 5 eggsInitial impressions

Pros: - size
- thickness (or lack there of)
- picture quality
- speed with menus

Cons: - not very intuitive
- small flashlight effect on bottom right. Does not really affect my viewing experience. But it's there, none the less.
- Remote is difficult to get used to. Once you get used to it, it becomes a rather nice feature. I put this as a negative as I would still to have a traditional remove included.
- Sound is lacking.. but it is a TV

Other Thoughts: All of the important factors are positives. If you want an amazing TV with amazing display properties, don't hesitate. If you have no idea how to calibrate a TV and really don't want to have to mess with the settings a whole lot, I would look for something else.

5 out of 5 eggsNow This is a Smart TV

Pros: "I am officially in love,,, and it’s a TV,,, This is the way TV was meant to be,,, 55 inches of pure pleasure,,, immaculate 3D,,, excellent High definition colors,,, I have the 47LM6700 47-Inch Cinema 3D 1080p 120Hz LED-LCD which is great, but this 55LM7600 55-Inch Cinema 3D 1080p 240Hz LED-LCD is definitely a step up and well worth the additional $$$,,, The extra viewing area makes a world of difference and is especially obvious when in 3D mode,,, a few of my daily programs are on the lower station with Comcast and comes only in 480i,,, well this TV in its amazing-ness up-converts these signals and makes the programs look great, better than even my smaller TVs; that I did not expect with so large a TV,,, I do have the comparisons right in front of me because I have two other 42 inch LCD edge Lit LED Latest Models TV, and all four (4) monitors are mounted together,,, When you get this one you won’t regret it,,, Just make sure to get some sort of Home Theater System or a good sound bar in order to take advantage any high quality movie sounds,,, I use the Harman Kardon receiver with an assortment of JVC Premium Speakers,,, Instead of the standard HDMI cable you may want to use a High Speed HDMI Cable with Ethernet - Supporting 3D and Audio Return [Latest Version] 1.4 with a good shielding instead of the older standard 1.3,,, You may want to use HDMI cable with red mere technology.....Blessings."

Cons: NONE YOU GOTTA BE KIDDING

5 out of 5 eggsGreat TV for the Price

Pros: I have only had this tv for about a week now but I love it. My parent have this tv they bought it about a year ago and after seeing it I had to have one. I waited for a price drop since my need was not urgent.

This tv is not the "Best" on the market, but is is the BEST value for your $.

The picture quality is excellent, I have watched multiple hockey games on it and there is no issue with High speed action of the puck blurring or anything like that.

I have read the other reviews about this tv and I dont know why they are so low, I dont see the bleeding issue others have mentioned on my tv or my parents.

My secondary TV is now a Panasonic Plasmsa P50ST30. I only metion this because I have compared the Active Shutter 3D on my Panasonic to the 3D on the LG. I see absolutely no difference the are both stunning during high action scenes on the Avenger and on the Lorax.
The 3d glasses are inexpensive and it comes with 6 pairs, compared to the $150 I spent on active shutter glasses.

The remote control is very cool, and the ability for it to link directly to my cable box was a unexpected and pleasant surprise.

I have recommended this tv to others in the past, Only at this time you may want to check LG's web site for the latest models as this tv is an older model.

Cons: None, for the price you absolutely cannot beat this tv

5 out of 5 eggsFantastic Panel

Pros: Everything. color, contrast, motion. This is a terrific panel that blows away much more expensive panels. I would know, as I sell home theater and design custom A/V projects for a living. For the price, it can't be beat. I prefer it over even the Samsung ES8000 @ much more $.

Cons: The only thing is that it is aimed more at a performance panel and does not have the full (slick) web browser that it's sister Google TV has with the qwerty remote. That said, it is still silly easy to navigate smart features, just not quite like the G2.

3 out of 5 eggsunhappy

Pros: Good picture on bright scenes. Has a camera. Built-in sounds pretty good.

Cons: Active 3D hurts my eye! Edge lite flash light effect kills dark scenes! Distracting. Motion control not working for some reason.

Other Thoughts: Samsung means 3 stars? It does deserve a 3 star rating.

5 out of 5 eggsAmazing TV

Pros: Picture
The picture quality is pretty amazing. It is very crisp out of the box without any adjustments. LG provides calibration software on the TV if you are looking for a better image. I used LG's calibration prior to using my Disney WOW calibration bluray and there weren't too many differences in the picture between the two. I also did not experience any of the edge bleeding that others have reported here and on other sites. Perhaps LG has modified its manufacturing process. The TV also auto-upconverts all signals to 1080p according to their support team. The TV displayed that my FIOS signal was 1080i, which was was correctly confirmed by the DVR's settings (it's highest resolution). I wanted to change the output to 1080p but I could not find a way to change the resolution and a call to LG's support informed me that the 1080i indicated on the TV's display meant that the source was 1080i. A little confusing but I get it now.

3D
While I have no real interest in 3D, LG's passive 3D on this set is excellent; the 2D-to-3D conversion is outright awesome. The ability to control the depth and angle of your view is a cool feature I didn't know existed. I can see myself watching some movies in 3D in the future.

Stand
If you aren't mounting this TV on a wall, the stand is definitely a pro. It is very sturdy and is capable of a 15 degree tilt. While I was waiting for my wall mount to show up, I put the TV on an entertainment stand I was using in a guest room. The TV looked good enough there that I was strongly considering buying a more permanent stand rather than wall mounting it but was ultimately overruled by my wife.

Remote
The Magic Remote is a pretty cool gadget. After about a half hour or so of use I started to get used to it. Navigating the apps that are installed is a breeze with the Magic Remote. It certainly makes typing a lot easier than using a 4-way control found on most remotes. In addition to the ease of typing, the Magic Remote is capable of controlling your cable box/dvr if that device is within 3 feet of your TV. I was able to connect it to my Verizon FIOS DVR pretty quckly and without too much of an effort. With that said, I can see why you someone may not be comfortable with using it all the time. The control can get awkward and if you're using it with your DVR, you have to pull up an on-screen menu to represent your DVR's remote in order to fast forward, rewind, or hit any of the other buttons that are not labeled Volume or Channel. The on-screen display has a timeout so if you're fast forwarding/rewinding, keep that in mind as you'll fly right past where you want to be when the screen goes away.

DLNA
The TV identified and connected to my PC without any input from me. I am able to play all of my MP3s, pictures, and video files with no problems.

Cons: Audio
This isn't really a Con if you make the necessary adjustments but the internal audio is a little lacking out of the box. The voices weren't loud enough to distinguish from other sounds. You may need to make adjustments to overcome any issues you have with audio. Thankfully, LG provides an outstanding feature that allows you to adjust the sound to overcome any issues. It took me a while to hit the sweet spot but I eventually got close and am pretty satisfied with the results.

Apps
The apps were limited to the usual suspects - Netflix, Cinema Now, Hulu Plus, Rhapsody, Facebook, Twitter, among many others. but the apps that were noticibly missing were A**zon On-Demand, Spotify, and Pandora. I have a blu ray player that handles those apps but it would have been nice to be able to access them from the TV.

Other Thoughts: Shipping was lightning fast. I ordered the TV on a Friday and received a notification that I should expect delivery by the freight company on the following Friday. On Monday, I received a call stating the TV was in town and they could be at my house any day that week with a 3 hour time frame. I am really impressed with the freight company that Newegg uses to ship these TVs.

1 out of 5 eggs

Pros: It has an amazing picture, and the 3D is great.

Cons: The edge lit back light bleeds through really bad. considering how much I paid for this tv, their is no excuse for it being like this. ruins the picture every time there is a dark scene. I cant believe LG released this tv with a problem like this. I bought this tv from a differnt site than newegg. I got it for 1400 dollars thinking I was getting a great deal. Sadly, I was mistaken. The site I ordered from does not except returns, so I am stuck with this stupid thing until I can sell it off to some other poor sap. Thanks LG for wasting my money.

2 out of 5 eggsLife is not Good if you buy Lg 3D LED TV

Pros: Good passive 3D, Good Looks & Good colors.

Cons: Huge Backlight bleeding. Low Black levels. Tru motion is ineffective. Judder is visible on fast moving object. 3D glasses are extremely cheap quality. Ghosting on fast moving scenes.

Other Thoughts: Lg has extremely poor manufacturing ethics & no quality control. Panels with this kind of backlight bleeding can only be sold by Lg & no other Panel manufacturer can even think of allowing it to leave its factory.

5 out of 5 eggsGood TV for the price.

Pros: LG had meticulously changed the concept of TV among user and new buyers. I had quite narrow thinking for investing money in TV purchase. Fortunately, LG 2012 smart TV sets force me to change my thoughts and opinions for the same.
I own the above models and would like to recommend the same to others who are in queue. Its design, PQ, sound quality and passive 3d glasses everything is just praise-worthy!

Cons: Nothing so far.
