This set replaced a Samsung 43'' plasma that I purchased a year ago. While the crispness and clarity don't match my plasma it does generate a great deal less heat from this set. It does register much nicer and tighter than some other sets that i've seen at double and triple the cost. When I say register for those not familiar, if you look at the text closely, the registration is the bleed over the line making txt blurry. This isn't the case with this tv as it is with vizio, panasonics, and some other top tier brands. I've convinced the LG and samsungs have some of the brightest, richest, and best registering sets on the market. I did not get this from the egg as I would have liked to have. Cons: The 2d to 3d isn't as great as i had expected after reading other reviews from other consumers on numerous sites. It doesn't come off the screen at you as I had expected, rather making the images look more dimensional within the screen itself, if that makes sense. Blue 12/24/2012 2:21:36 AM Tech Level: 5/5 Ownership: 2/5	Rating: 5/5LG 55' Pros: I have only had this about a week and after making the video settings to my taste, I have to say that I really like the picture and the 3D is excellant as well as the 2D to 3D. I find that even in regular viewing by putting on the 3D glasses that you can tell a little 3D on a 2D old movie even on old black and white movies. Cons: None so far, Just hope this will last many years.. The only con that I have noticed so far, is NOT the TVs fault, but if you get a bad quality movie and try to use the 3D you'll get a blurr or fluidy type of picture in it's motion in the background.. Other Thoughts: I'd recommend this to anyone that's in the need of a large LED 3D HDTV.
