5 out of 5 eggsUsing as screen for Xbox One

This review is from: LG 39LN5300 39" Class 1080p 60Hz LED HDTV

Pros: Bought this as an extra TV screen for use with our Xbox One. No need to hook it up to internet or cable for that. Works as designed with a sharp picture. Super easy to set up and light weight.

Cons: You kind of have to mess with the settings because some of the presets cause a ghost image. Just have to find the one that works with the light in your house.

5 out of 5 eggsThis LG 39LN5300 LED HDTV

This review is from: LG 39LN5300 39" Class 1080p 60Hz LED HDTV

Pros: Easy to set-up and configure to our cable set-up, gaming system and stereo inputs. Great picture thanks to the LED backlighting, and the colors are vibrant, crisp and clear. This LG LED TV puts our other LG LCD TV to shame, with it's colors and the deep rich blacks. Gaming is a lot better too while using it, nice and bright - not cloudy and dull like the LCD. I'm glad we ordered it during the special sales event, we could of ordered the 24" LG LED-LCD too with the money we saved on this 39" LG LED TV.

Cons: FedEx left my item at my front door and didn't even knock or ring the doorbell like UPS & DHL do, and my wife & I were both home(2 trucks out front too) waiting for it to get here. Someone could of just run off with it - without us knowing about it, so much for Neweggs policy about "needing a signature on big items". FedEx Details read - Left at front door. Signature Service not requested.

Other Thoughts: Thank goodness our son came home from school 2 hours early, and told us our item had arrived and was on the front porch. We would of never known it was there, and we never heard any sounds like truck doors closing or anything. Windows were all open up front, and our dogs never did bark either for that matter.

1 out of 5 eggswould not recommend

This review is from: LG 39LN5300 39" Class 1080p 60Hz LED HDTV

Pros: Looked good while it worked

Cons: Remote quit working.
- After about 4 months, it stopped responding to remotes from reasonable distances. Neither the factory remote or a universal remote will work unless it is within 5 inches or so of the tv. And yes, I tried new batteries.

Other Thoughts: Overall this set seems pretty cheap compared to other lg tvs I've owned. Seems geared toward hotel use. I will likely look for other brands from now on.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat product

This review is from: LG 39LN5300 39" Class 1080p 60Hz LED HDTV

Pros: Great picture

Cons: None

Other Thoughts: Just using with directv box to watch tv and that is it. It does the job. The tv is mounted in the bedroom and has worked perfectly.

2 out of 5 eggsTerrible off-axis performance

This review is from: LG 39LN5300 39" Class 1080p 60Hz LED HDTV

Pros: Clear picture, reasonable TV for $304.99.

Cons: Worst off-axis performance I've ever seen, including my 10-year-old 55" rear projection TV. If you intend to do all viewing straight on it's a great TV. Otherwise I don't think you can do much worse and I would recommend anything but this model.

4 out of 5 eggsI Can't believe it shipped in retail box alone!

This review is from: LG 39LN5300 39" Class 1080p 60Hz LED HDTV

Pros: It seems to be working fine. On the bright side, hopefully the delivery person was more careful with it since they could clearly see what it was.
The TV itself is pretty nice so far, only had it for a day. Its bright and clear.

Cons: It arrived in retail box alone. No extra box. I couldn't believe it. Good thing I have good neighbors who took it in the house for me. A big brown box is bad enough on the doorstep, but a box that says LG TV on it is sure to attract attention from anyone that passes by.

Other Thoughts: Audio pretty lacking as others have stated, but it gets loud enough. Just no depth of sound. Needs a soundbar.

5 out of 5 eggsLG 39 in LED-LCD tv

This review is from: LG 39LN5300 39" Class 1080p 60Hz LED HDTV

Pros: Great picture, no problems. I needed assistance with set up from a friend because my computer didn't read the disk for instructions and there were no printed instructions for set up, but worth the price!

Cons: for a low experience with newer technology, I definitely needed assistance.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat TV at an affordable price!

This review is from: LG 39LN5300 39" Class 1080p 60Hz LED HDTV

Pros: Great picture quality, nice dark blacks. Color settings were great right out of the box, no need to play with the settings. No dead pixels.

Cons: None at all so far.

Other Thoughts: I couldn't be happier, I'm completely satisfied with this purchase in every way.
