5 out of 5 eggsBest in class

Pros: * Excellent picture quality, white balance, color accuracy, full High Definition 1920x1080.

* Very slick user interface ~ it's so good that LG still uses the exact same operating system on their current line of TV's.

* All the inputs & outputs anyone could ever need with 2 HDMI.

* Works fantastic as a Computer Monitor ~ surf the web from the couch. We use it for our HTPC and could not be happier.

Cons: We have yet to experience anything even slightly negative about this TV. We had the 32LD450 32" version for three years and only upgraded to this one because we were ready for a larger TV.

5 out of 5 eggsAffordable, high quality LCD HDTV.

Pros: Extremely light. Nice 1080p HD picture. Remote is basic and all you'll need. The price was $380 a week ago but Newegg sent me a $50 promo code. Couldn't beat it!

Now this tv is even cheaper if you check the price. Great deal! Simply cannot top Newegg.

Cons: Sound isn't the greatest, but who expects that anyway.

Other Thoughts: I have this tv hanging in my bedroom on a 21in possible extension swivel mount. It is looking great.

Not even using cable but instead just an Xbox 360 for streaming apps. Works great on this tv.

5 out of 5 eggsGood TV

Pros: Cheap. Pretty crazy low for a 42" LED TV
Really light
The User Menu is pretty straight forward

Cons: The TV is defaulted to some wonky default eco setting where the screen color is way too warm / has that awesome "SUPER OMEGA DYNAMIC CONTRAST" enabled. I ended up using the Expert 1 profile and tweaking it from there.

Other Thoughts: Make sure you rename the HDMI ports to PC using the menu, otherwise if you plug in a PC to them, you will get overscanning because the PC displays a different size for TV labeled HDMI ports.

The colors are okay, but not as vibrant as my PC screen (At least once you normalize the TV settings). They looked a little washed out, but eh, it's a cheap TV. You get what you paid for.

Rosewill's wall mount fits this TV perfectly.

We bought three of these and all them started up okay. Two will be braving it out in the heat of Houston outside (Will be interesting to see how long until they die outside), while the other TV gets the easy life above the bar inside. These are for a restaurant.

5 out of 5 eggsDoes everything well!

Pros: Sleek/simple design. Excellent picture, easy set up. Light weight, easy to hang or use on stand. Simple adjustments. Not overly complex remote. Overall great TV for the price. Sound is fine, better when connected to sound bar, or AV system.

Cons: None, considering price. Out performs many higher priced units.

1 out of 5 eggsWas great... while it would turn on

Pros: Excellent picture, pretty good viewing angle. Plenty of settings to mess with to get your picture just right. Had it mostly for my PC and PS4 and gaming on it was all I ever did.

Cons: Only 2 HDMI ports, I would have liked 4 (for my cable box and Chromecast) but I settled with just swapping the connections as I had it in an easily accessible spot.

Oh yeah, and it stopped turning on. But before that, it would randomly turn itself off. This just happened over the course of a week. I would turn it on, pop in a game or change the channel, and it would in a matter of seconds turn back off, but the red LED would pulse like it was turning on. Ok, I figured I'd just let it do it's thing. It wouldn't turn on. I would have to unplug it, or simply wiggle the power connector (which wasn't loose, either) and it would come back on. This happened for a few days, then a day or two it was back to perfectly normal. Suddenly, today, it turned off after being on most of the afternoon, and I would do the same thing to get it to turn back on. Only, as soon as I would sit down, it would do it again. This happened three times, and now it will not turn on at all. I unplugged it for a few minutes, still nothing. The LED at the bottom gives a pulse or two like it is going to turn on, but then stops, or sometimes flickers, and turns off.

Other Thoughts: Its way out of the 30 day range for me to RMA it, so I will have to contact LG. I haven't yet, but just doing some preliminary research on my own I found out that a lot of LG TVs have this issue and it is likely to be the power supply. I just hope that LG customer support can actually help me out.

5 out of 5 eggsFantastic 42" LED

Pros: Great clarity and contrast with tons of customizations. No dead pixels. 2 HDMI inputs and an optical output. It's not a huge screen, but I'm in a small room (about 6' away from the TV) so it's perfect without being overbearing. Also, amazing customer service.

Cons: Not really a con because of the immediate response, but I started having problems with the TV randomly shutting off and on about a month after purchase. I wrote LG asking if there was anyway to fix it. They sent out tech to my house a few days later and replaced the main board for free, and it's been fine ever since! Gotta appreciate customer service like that!

Other Thoughts: This is my first LG product, and I'm pretty impressed (I still love you too, Samsung)!

1 out of 5 eggsTV on and off

Pros: Bought 2 of these back in May of 2013...RIP screen number 2

Cons: Lasted about 6 months!!! LG, what happened...Tv turns off and on at random times, now I can't get it to come back on. Now I'm having the worst time with an RMA

5 out of 5 eggsLG 42" 1080P LED-LCD HDTV

Pros: Clear picture, sounds great, easy assembly, thin, a wide variety of settings, even gives you the option of changing inputs when you turn on your gaming console by hitting the select button without going to the input options. Just like when you plug something into your computer.

Cons: None so far.

Other Thoughts: My old TV was LCD, 1080P, 37" Vizio and this blows it out of the water.
