5 out of 5 eggsNot 120Hz

Pros: Bought this arount Christmas of last year, and have been using it every day since. The TV has a great picture, and a great form. I love how it looks on top of the fireplace, however

Cons: The TV is not 120hz as advertised. It is only a 60hz TV to anyone who is interested. Its speakers aren't the best, but no where near as bad as other reviewers try to make it seem.

Other Thoughts: Its a great TV, just know that it is not 120hz, and you will be satisfied if that is all you are after.

1 out of 5 eggsI am stuck with a Lemon and LG will not take the TV back.

Pros: Great TV picture. Awesome sharpness.

Cons: My major complaint is the sound. The sound from the speaker is somewhat high pitch with very little base which is understandable considering the flatness of the screen, The solution from LG is to throw in a sound bar. Great idea, but there is a problem. The sound from the sound bar is about average, but the issue is during a cold start power on. From the start, the sound bar worked great with no issues. After a week, I had no sound from the bar after I power on the TV(The TV was off for a day before this). This issue is intermittent (the worst type an issue a customer has to deal with)Since this is a repeatable issue, I played with it enough to isolate the issue is in the sound bar. I called LG for assistance, but their troubleshooting path leads to nowhere. Unfortunately, I threw all of the shipping materials out thinking that a week test is enough. I was wrong. It is important to note that when I use the TV's internal speaker, that sound comes on reliably. I had LG send me replacement parts and a serviceman came and replaced the main board of the TV. Nothing resolve this intermittent audio issue from my sound bar. The issue seems to be a design flaw. Also, It seems that LG is giving me the run around and refuse to take back the TV and give a full refund. This is very unprofessional from a large company like LG. Buyers beware. Their guarantee is worthless. Your better off buying a TV from a street vendor with little or no warranty. I have to see how far up in management I can get to in order to resolve this issue. Also note that their customer service was very rude and obnoxious with me at the start of a conversation. So far it's been 4 months dealing with LG on this issue. I send them message, but the tech support person that I was dealing with will not return my calls. The lesson I got from this experience is LG cannot be trusted if you have a defect product. Save yourself from all this grief. Buy SAMSUNG instead.

Other Thoughts: LG Tech support needs a lot of improvement. They gave me a terrible customer experience. Their warranty is worthless and cannot ne trusted. Someone from high management needs to correct this.

1 out of 5 eggsFalse advertisement

Pros: It lightweight enough to throw out a window by yourself.

Cons: The reason I bought this TV was because I wanted in inexpensive 120hz TV. This TV was suppose to have 120hz "Trumotion" and it doesn't seem to exist on this model. It doesn't say it anywhere on the box, or the manual, and the model number on the box and the TV matched the TV I ordered. The feature cannot be found in the TV's settings anywhere. I've been using an ASUS 27" 3D monitor for well over 8 months now running at 120hz, and I can definitely tell this thing is refreshing at 60hz. I plugged my computer into it, and the refresh rate options only went up to 60hz. While watching TV, the info display always shows 60hz. I've read the LG claims that this technology has been "built in" to these models and that it can't be turned off or adjusted, yet they have those options on many other TVs. This is a complete load of bull. They skipped out on this model and are falsely advertising it as 120hz.

Also, the power cable is short as hell, and the sound is utter garbage. Don't want your time with this purchase.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat TV for the price!

Pros: This TV was super cheap for the quality and size. It was delivered quickly, too! I searched high and low for a 47" TV that was a good quality brand and reasonably priced and this was the best of the bunch. I love that it is NOT a smart TV, because that just provides more things that could break. I have a smart BluRay player with all the bells and whistles already, and I can always hook my laptop up to it also. My boyfriend is a football fan and LOVES watching games on it. He even commented that he doesn't need his glasses anymore because the picture is so clear. The best part is that around the screen is a very small frame so it takes up exactly the same amount of space as the older 42" Vizio 720p LCD HDTV it replaced, and weighs less too.

Cons: Honestly, I don't see any. I know a lot of people are looking for "smart TVs" but I think they're more risky from a technical perspective (I work in IT). This TV easily hooks to my HDTV cable box, which has extras, and my internet-enabled BluRay.

4 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Nice picture, low energy use, size is same as my older 42" LCD with narrow rim. Light weight was good because I wanted to hang

Cons: Sound is adequate but plan to add center channel or auxiliary sound to be complete
